On our month long trip we managed to see a fair chunk of the States. Starting from L.A. then on to Vegas, Albuquerque and then venturing through to Dallas and Austin exploring as many BBQ joints and roller coasters on the way. After seeing advertisements left right and centre, in fact everywhere we went for the El Diablo burger from Carl's Jr, we had to try one. It was like the subliminal messages on the tv ads were hypnotising me and luring me to see what the fuss was all about. We were in Vegas accidentally for the big or what turned out to be a not so big fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. With the pay per view restrictions across the entire state and with it only being able to be seen at exclusive MGM Grand parties, we decided we'd try sneak across the border and go see the Grand Canyon and on the way back find a bar in Kingman to watch the fight. On our way to the Grand Canyon we were starving and rolled past a Carl's Jr sign that was almost like a iridescent beacon in the storm, standing out to us, gleaming as my girlfriend and I both looked at each other and said, "El Diablo!". We made the turn off at Stockton HIll Road and parked up. We'd never been to a Carl's Jr before and thought it was going to be like a McDonald's or Burger King and quite often their feature burgers are disappointing and look nothing like what you see on tv. We ordered a half pound El Diablo of course and I wish I'd taken down the girls name that served me because she was great and the service I received there was one of the best experiences I had on our trip. I loved how she really took to her role with pride and that it wasn't just a job and she was talking to regulars and newcomers alike and new the entire menu and was chatting saying how it wasn't like McDonald's and she was bang on with the truth. The burger came out and it looked amazing and it tasted just as good as it looked. The beef patty was sublime and for a chain restaurant a real surprise. It was tender, succulent and juicy with and was filled with crunchy on the outside, oozing cheese on the inside jalapeño poppers with more sliced pickled jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, a spicy habañero sauce and of course what burger wouldn't be complete without bacon. I always put fries into my burger and then eat it for an extra texture but because the burger was so big already, I really had to manoeuvre my mouth and strategically bite into it to manage the burger. My girlfriend and I were so impressed by our experience that we got another one on our way back through Kingman and another on our quick expedition to Canada. Overall we left with big smiles from all the Carl's Jr restaurants we ate at and I wish we had these at home in Australia because you get such great bang for your buck and gourmet quality burgers but from a place where you can relive that experience again and again across the country at any Carl's Jr or Hardee's and into Canada as well and still uphold the same consistent experience with great service and the excellent standard of food. I must say that you guys have really set the bar high for what I am to expect when I eat at a fast food outlet. Kudos to you!

Went there and had the Texas brisket burger ask for it with no onion or jalapeno fries and guess what had both the restaurant floor had ketchup fries straw wrappers very. dirty the manager on 9 -12 2014 was too busy flirting with the cooks to take care of the restaurant she couldn't even say thank you... Definitely would not recommend this restaurant I will be calling the store owner tomorrow.

slower than mud, and then after almost half an hour I didn't notice that they stiffed me for two drinks. I got home to find out that the chicken tenders were so over cooked it was essentially expensive cat food and the fries were soggy with grease. just to irritate me more, the whole time I waited, I could see the entire staff out at the counter interacting with some blogger/food critic. so my kids kind of had to make do with some macaroni because a bunch of teenagers were all impressed with a bearded guy with a camera. needless to so, I will not be returning. anyone who can't even manage chicken strips does not need to be in a kitchen.

Slowest Carl's Junior in the Universe.. I love Carls Junior.. I would eat there everyday if I didn't care about my health. I thought the slow service was due to the location being new... Not the case. I really don't know what the problem is.. It is just really really painfully slow to get the most simple order.. I still go there sometimes, the food is good.... but make sure you have between 20-35 minutes to get your order.

This is obviously a brand new Carl's Jr. location. The exterior and interior are both clean and modern. They were running a special -- $1 for any size drink -- when I visited. The kitchen was a little slow (seemed like they were working out a few kinks) but the food was fresh and hot and delicious. As with all Carl's locations, they will happily wrap any sandwich in lettuce instead of a bun, low carb style. I'm happy there's now a Carl's Jr. on the road to Phoenix from Vegas.
