This is a great bed & breakfast ! The rooms, treats, and breakfast..all were fantastic. Stayed in the cowboy themed room upstairs...the room was average size and had a nice size bathroom, balcony, and a small flatscreen TV. The view was wonderful and we sat out there for quite a while drinking wine and watching people. There were fresh baked cookies available upon arrival...and they were goooood! There is a room off of our room and the room next to us that had a couch, chairs, books, magazines, games, and some movies (VHS). We paid $130 for the room and I feel that was very reasonable for what you get.

My whole experience here was delightful. Memorial day weekend we stayed in the American Room. Small and cozy, perfect if you do not plan on spending your whole vacation in your room. Find a place to park and stay there, everything is in walking distance and that hill is a great workout. I was able to sleep through the night and looked forward to waking up to home made breakfast in the morning. Coffee, and cookies always available. I do plan on coming back and staying here again.

Individually decorated theme rooms, a great view, centrally located, friendly owner, delicious breakfast, lazy cat, almond-walnut cookies, coffee and tea round the clock, comfy beds, a plethora of board games. all in a historic building. what more can you ask, really?

We stayed in the Northern Exposure room. It was decorated in a theme based on the TV show of the same name. It had a balcony with a stunning view of the Verde Valley. Innkeeper Jackie is a garacious host and an excelent cook. There was some traffic noise early in the evening but not enough to prevent us from sleeping with the door open all night. We won't stay anywhere else on our next visit.

Wonderful service and hospitality. Best bed and breakfast I have stayed at and better than any hotel. Amazing food and the kindest host. Definitely recommending to anyone I know that is visiting Jerome

We stayed offsite in the Baker's Suite. Everything was perfect. The bed was comfy, there was wifi, coffee and tea... our kitchen came equipped with everything which was a big bonus because I love to cook (although I can't say I did much of it with all the wonderful eating in Jerome). There was a guestbook in the front room where you leave your thoughts on your stay... such a homey touch. Jackie is very sweet and hospitable. I can't recommend it enough. We had a really great experience.

Fantastic food, fantastic town, fantastic hotel. Love it, we'll be back there again. The snow just made it that much more homey.

We stayed in the Northern Exposure room; 2nd floor-middle room w/ a balcony. There are a total of 6 rooms in the main house and 2 separate apts down the street from the house. All of the rooms have been updated & have private baths. We had the perfect view from our balcony and met some new friends on both sides. After a great lunch at The Bordello and some wine tasting, we went back to the room and enjoyed some drinks & fun conversation with our new friends! Had a fab dinner at The Mile High Inn and called it a night. Nicole served us a great yummy breakfast that included fruit, yogurt, coffee, oj, hot tea and French toast & sausage. We've stayed at the Jerome Grand a few times, but I'd have to say, this was a much more fun experience and it was very convenient to walk to the restaurants and shops. Although the room was small, the bed was VERY comfy and bathroom was clean and stocked with fresh-soft towels. Brandon greeted us upon our arrival and gave us the details on the grounds and hours they were avail. They left notes every time they weren't avail and where they could be reached. Definitely coming back!!! We discovered our new favorite place in Jerome! Von & Greg D.

We had a great time at the Ghost City Inn. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, check in was a breeze, and our room was clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to stay in the verde view room which has the obvious advantage of a veranda with an incredible view of the verde valley below. The inn is easily accessible to all Jerome has to offer, and so were able to walk around during our stay. As others have noted, breakfast did not disappoint. My wife is a vegetarian and we both really enjoyed the cornbread & green chili bake made in house by the owner. Overall, this place has a great view, is in an awesome spot, has a quaint feel, and is definitely worth a night or two of your adventures through this part of Arizona.

Okay, Yelp. I'm bucking the five-star trend here. Stayed overnight in the Northern Exposure room, after a night of UFO hunting and hiking around Sedona. Because the rooms were so great, I had crazy high expectations. Maybe that's part of my problem. The room wasn't bad - the bed was extremely comfortable - but that's really it. When I walked into the GCI, there was a man folding towels. I stood there, quietly and politely, until he acknowledged me: which never happened. We were told to sign a paper, keys were left on the table, and we were pretty much ignored for the duration of our one-night stay. The only warning was a strict, "Be at breakfast by 8:30 or you won't eat" memo. Ah, breakfast. Everyone is raving about Jackie and her breakfast... Neither of which I encountered. Apparently, the owners are trying to get away from the B&B more, so their son (the man mentioned above) and another girl primarily run the location now. Okay: It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. The breakfast was average, the decor... unique, and the price tags on every. thing. everything! were tacky. I guess if you don't have many other options, it's not bad for the price or the location. But five stars? Not from my experience.

Absolutely loved this place. Stayed in the Verde Room. No ghost sightings but wonderful conversation and drinks on the balcony overlooking the city. Beautiful and breathtaking. We will return. Jackie was a awesome host and her breakfast was delicious.

My boyfriend and I decided to spend our one year anniversary here, so glad that we did! We loved sitting on the front veranda drinking coffee or wine... The adorable patio in the back was almost enchanting! And the breakfast mmmmm the breakfast!!! It was delicious! Fruit galore, delicious spicy cheesy potatoes and en egg frittata :) Definitely a place to check out! Loved that Jackie picked on my boyfriend in the morning! She made us all laugh and feel so comfortable! Thank you!

I booked a room here back in April and due to my schedule, I had to change the dates several times. Each time, Jackie was very nice and friendly. But I had to change the dates so many times, so much that, Jackie said it was the very last time when I finally changed it to celebrate my birthday weekend during the summer before she told me she would have to charge $25 for changing my dates so often. I'm glad she put her foot down cause get ready for a gushing review of the Ghost City Inn! Let me be clear, before I arrived here, I had low expectations, I even thought the price for the rooms were high. Plus I thought Jerome being Jerome, any room with a window has a nice view of the mountains so I was not impressed with the photos of the views posted! It's really great to have low expectations blown away~ let me tell you, the moment I stepped into the B&B I FALL IN LOVE with the place! This place has that oh so sought after quality of feeling homey, cared for, and charming that so many B&B strive for and fail so miserably at NOT achieving. The first floor is where you come in to check in and to to have breakfast in the morning. It's decorated with things you would expect in a homey home and kitsch items for sale. Some places decorated in this style can be tacky but this place was not tacky at all. It had a welcoming feeling like I can take off my shoes and put up my feet, relax and read the paper. Seriously, not kidding, it feels like walking into a friend's home! The rest of the B&B has the same feel. Each room is uniquely decorated and all very lovely. The best part though which none of the other reviews have yet to mention is the common "living room" shared among all the rooms as you walk up the stairs that has a comfy couch, is inviting and full of games and books to read! My hubby, son, and I made use of this room like it was our own living room. Again, not kidding! We would go downstairs and get our fill of coffee, tea, lemonade, and freshly made cookies bring it into this "living room" and spend the time before going to bed playing board games. Jackie was very discreet. She didn't bother us at all so we felt like we had rented a house instead of just one room and the best part was we didn't have to make the beds or do the dishes! It crossed my mind that it would be totally worthwhile if someone had a large family or a family reunion to rent out the whole upper floor. It would be perfect. Alone time in the rooms/ gathering time in the "living room!" And the views from the upstair balconies are fantastic! We spent a lazy afternoon sitting on our balcony playing games, reading, and of course enjoying our cookies and tea/coffee! And there's nothing that makes or breaks a good B&B like a tummy rubbing, mouth watering breakfast . . . did I mention homemade? All the plates, napkin ring, condiments were Coca Cola themed. Beautifully presented, so delightful. And ahhh, the food! Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, freshly made quiches and the ever so amazing thoughtful Jackie prepared freshly made waffles for my son knowing that at his age, he might not go for the quiches! Speaking of Jackie. What a lovely hostess. Couldn't ask for someone more personable. As many of the reviews had already written, she went out of her way to take care of us. She spoke to my son as though he was the most important person in the world~ and when she found out how much he loved anything police, she shared that her husband was the police chief in Jerome and told us to go pay him a visit and he would spend some time with us. Which we did~ the police chief not only took the time to talk and visit with my son, he also gave him a Jerome "deputy" badge which, well, as you can imagine, my son puffed up with happiness and was over the moon! I've always loved the town of Jerome for its scenery and artistic collection of shops but this time, it was made especially memorable with this stay at Ghost City Inn and getting to know Jackie a bit. A gem. Definitly a gem. Maybe even the most sparkling kind. I'm talking about Jackie and her beautiful spirit and how she brings the most wonderful life to her B&B!!!

Unforgettable! This B&B wasn't just a place to stay -- it felt like home, plus a lovely view and caretaker. Jackie is a delightful person and spectacular cook! I don't post on Yelp too often, but I wish I could leave Ghost City Inn more than one 5-star review. It deserves ten or fifteen stars!

We had a great experience at Ghost City Inn when we traveled to Jerome in February for my birthday. I believe the owners were out of town and one of their employees was managing in their absence. She did a great job! We had a cute, American themed room just up the back stairs. We checked in a little bit later than anticipated, but she was very nice and accommodating! She showed us around. There were fresh cookies and drinks in the lobby. We didn't stay in our room long - we were visiting Jerome to hit up some wine tastings! We headed out and had a nice night down the street. In the morning, they were very accommodating with our dietary preferences. We had some amazing stuffed French toast that I burnt my tongue on because I ate it so quickly! Thank you for the great experience - I highly anticipate that we will be back next time we are in Jerome!

The Town of Jerome is a beautiful weekend getaway! For our anniversary, my husband and I wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before. Some friends had told us about this historic, haunted, hippie, mining town filled with eclectic galleries and shops so we decided to check it out. When we first drove into Jerome, we immediately regretted not having been before. What an awesome little town only two hours away from our front door! We chose the Ghost City Inn based on a few things; one of which was the reputation of surrounding hotels for being loud at night (due to hall wanderers trying to run into paranormal activity). Once I convinced myself the creaking outside my door was the neighboring guest going into their room, I slept like a baby at the Ghost City Inn. We enjoyed our room and outstanding view, another good reason to come here (we had the Verde View Room). Jackie, one of the owners, was there to greet us when we arrived. What a great lady and she knows about all there is to know about the town of Jerome. The next morning, she provided a delicious quiche and breakfast potatoes. The breakfast was delicious, the Inn was perfect.

Ghost City Inn is a must visit. From Jackie who is so kind, and a great cook to boot, to the fun rooms with stunning views. We stayed in the Western Room and our friends stayed next door (I can't remember their theme). The views from the balcony were breathtaking. We had the most amazing stuffed french toast for breakfast. I'm an early riser and and was so thrilled when I got up Jackie had coffee started well before breakfast. Beautiful home away from home. No ghosts though, maybe next time :)

Great view, reasonably priced, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. It was really great to feel like we were living a part of Jerome's unique history by staying in this old boarding house. The owners were also very knowledgable about the town's history.

My boyfriend and I took a last-minute overnight trip to Jerome and luckily found a room at the Ghost City Inn. Everything about our stay was perfect! Even though we arrived pretty early, Jackie was super accommodating about getting us setup in our room. We didn't actually stay in the main inn, but in the Santa Fe suite at the Baker House down the street. If that suite is available I definitely recommend it! It's essentially an apartment and has a kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom. The best part by far is is a private-wrap-around patio with a porch swing. There is an amazing view, and it's the perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine after a day walking around in Jerome. If you are looking for a weekend getaway, I definitely recommend the Ghost City Inn!

My husband and I took an aunt through the Verde Valley and chose GCI because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. Lovely, friendly service; Delish food with cookies and coffee and tea available at any time; room was very clean; and that view - priceless. Thanks - really enjoyed it!

Amazing place to stay in Jerome. The rooms were clean and decorated very cute and cozy. The owner was extremely friendly and made the best stuffed French toast I've ever had! The daily homemade cookies were a perfect afternoon delight. Perfect surprise birthday present from my husband. We will definitely be back!

We spent two nights in two different rooms, one upstairs looking out over the front of the house (Verde View), such a great view in the morning from the porch, very sunny & bright. The second night we stayed on the first floor (Cleopatra), an OK room but not as bright & sunny. The rooms are pretty nice & clean but small, things are a bit rustic but that is part of the charm. As mentioned in another review parking can be tough as the whole town is pretty much carved out of the side of a mountain. Breakfast both mornings was very good however you must be prompt as it is served @ 8:30. Overall I would highly recommend, Jerome is definitely worth a visit.

Just spent a lovely night at ghost city inn as guests of Jackie and Alan. Our stay couldn't have been better. Our room, The Americana, was exactly as described at booking and our breakfast the next morning was elegant, filling, and beautifully served. I would highly recommend the ghost city inn to anyone and the city of Jerome as a travel destination to everyone. Thank you Jackie

Ghost City Inn was quite a nice experience. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, and friendly innkeeper. The inn has an easy charm and a beautiful view. Parking was super convenient, but we arrived early in the day and that may have been a factor.

First rate little B&B with neat rooms all fully fitted out - even got the Stanford game on their zillion channel sat system. Cieling fans - a big plus over only AC. Panorama sun rise and set view from our room's little deck and easy walk to the shops and such on the main drag. Pretty nice bfast. Quiet and safe as run by the police chief's wife! Tip: Sunset burger at the Haunted Burger's end table for 2.

When I think of Ghost City Inn the first thing I think of is the fantastic sleep I got while it was there. Was it the bed? Was it the fresh air? Was there a ghost who cast a sleep spell over me? I don't know but I haven't woken up that rested in a long time! The boyfriend and I recently made our second trip to the Ghost City Inn and enjoyed our stay as much as we did the first time. The owner is friendly, the breakfast is tasty, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. Oh yeah, and the beds are extremely comfortable! Last year we stayed in the Northern Exposure room which was decorated like a cabin. This year we got the Western room which had a cowboy theme. They were very different but both were just as great. Part of what makes them great is the balcony. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony overlooking the mountain. The location of the B&B lends itself to an unbeatable view. In the AM we were treated to a homemade breakfast. Last time it was a southwestern egg frittata. This time stuffed french toast. Both were delicious and it's kinda fun not knowing what you're gonna get, you just know it will taste good. Parking can be kinda tricky as, like most places in Jerome, the Ghost City Inn does not have parking. But after dark the town gets pretty quiet so we have been able to find a parking spot across the street. I highly recommend Ghost City Inn and I can't wait to stay there a third time.

Great views, great staff and great food, especially homemade cookies in this charming B & B. Only drawbacks are small rooms and noise, which adds to the authenticity :)

We stayed for one night in the Cleopatra Room. Very comfortable and what an outstanding view. Corrine was the Inn Keeper during our stay and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Freshly baked cookies were waiting for us when we arrived. We had a wonderful breakfast of stuffed French toast and fresh fruit made and served by Corrine. We would definitely stay there again.

Stay there 3/20/14 @ the cleopatra room. It was our first time in Jerome and the view did not disappoint spectacular from this Inn. We arrived to a warm greeting from the help they made us feel like we were home. The owner was so friendly and warm it was so delightful to stay in a place like this. .... The room was nice and we had a pleasant suprise throughout the night foot steps and dragging noises and knocks on our window from dare I say ghosts I'm a skeptic but this had me on edge all night. It was exciting. If your scared of ghosts this place is not for you. However the other people who stayed in the other rooms experienced nothing so you may have a chance of avoiding them if you dare. Overall it is worth the risk the breakfast was delicious and not short of conversation as the owner visit with you as you eat. We will back.

My parents were in town visiting and we wanted to take them up to Jerome for the weekend. Booked the only two rooms that were available. To make a long story short, we loved it. The innkeepers were very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were warm and cozy (perfect for the cold, snowy weekend). They were clean, amusingly themed, had cable, nice baths, comfy beds, and an incredible view. The breakfast was delicious as well. We'd definitely return.

The sign in the living room entry way says "Enter as strangers leave as friends" and you roll your eyes when you see that because you know better...then you meet the owners of Ghost City Inn and christ on crutches, they are the nicest goddamn people you will ever meet in your entire life. To get down to it, this is a helluva bed and breakfast. The rooms are decorated with a Victorian/Western flare appropriate to the barren ghost town feel of Jerome. Were you ever unsatisfied with anything the owners would fix it in an instant...they even give you their cell phone to call in the middle of the night if something is that array...which it isn't and wouldn't be because the rooms are spacious, everything is clean, and bathrooms are beautiful. In addition, breakfast is wonderful. It's not just some shlock afterthought like most places. If you stay more than one night (which I think there is a somewhat flexible two night minimum) you can definitely expect a different breakfast each day. They take dietary considerations seriously and plan accordingly so all you have to do is mention your needs. You can even expect a midafternoon snack of cookies to be there after you've gotten your shopping or touring around done. An all around excellent experience...I even walked around in the room barefoot, which I'm sure, to some people might not sound like much, but I never do that except at home...I'm too much of a paranoid germ freak in hotels They could charge a heck of a lot more and it would still be worth it to stay at the Ghost City Inn.
