Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My parents (from the Valley) have raved about the food at this place for years.. Made my first visit here today and really enjoyed it. Chips & salsa were very good - hot salsa is nice! Ordered green chile half/half and it was excellent as were the beans .. tortillas with my order were fresh and homemade (yum).. Will return in the near future. .. Very clean restroom, too.

Was a great place just outside of town. I had the white menudo with buttered tortillas and it was excellent. Funny what can be found while out in rural Arizona. Real authentic Mexican food.

We were referred to this restaurant by the park ranger at Tonto National Monument. She said that it was the best mexican food in the world. Perhaps I am spoiled by living in SoCal or perhaps I just prefer a different style of Mexican, but I believe she was sorely mistaken. The food wasn't terrible. And I was pleasantly surprised by how good the margaritas were. But certainly not the best in the world, nor in the Southwest. Both the chimichanga and the combo plate of enchilada, tamale, beans, and chile were about $10. Seems a bit overpriced, especially for being in the middle of nowhere. It was clear that my combo plate was done first since there was a film sitting on the beans from being under the heat lamp. Also, while our server was charmin and helpful, the restaurant was very in-your-face (signs on the menu guilt-tripping you not to use credit and around the restaurant apologizing for not thanking you, which they didn't) about preserving small businesses and small-business charm, but the servers were overly concerned about who had what table and not helping the customer and the cashier seemed bothered when I went up to pay. That said, it seemed like a place for regulars so they must be doing something right for the locals.

I'm new to the area and wanted to explore a little bit. My roommate and I stumbled on this restaurant and decided to try it. I ordered chicken tacos with rice and beans. I was expecting soft tacos but the crispy tacos were an unexpected surprise. The food was pretty good, although the chicken was a little bit too dry. I liked the two different salsas they offered us. Many options on the menu so it's a little overwhelming, but I think it's worth trying if you're ever in Globe!

Best menudo in the area, other items are excellent. Good staff and Eddie Esparzza will take care of you.

I liked it. Food had clean fresh taste. Red chili sauce tasted homemade. Service was prompt and friendly. Devore was quirky but in a good way. Priced reasonably

This is the standard by which I judge all mexican food. Family owned business passed on from generation to generation with authenic homemade recipes. I will drive 2hrs each way just to eat here.

The food was great, as is most of the Mexican food in Globe, however the service was terrible. I was there yesterday, the server brought our food and rushed past our table several times. I felt like I was bothering her when I quickly interrupted her for a refill on my water. She never offered another drink to my husband, we inconvenienced her once more. We had been here before and were looking forward to it. We will not be going again.

Good home town cooking in the Globe-Miami area! The chips are delicious, salsa is spicy (just the way I like it). I had the enchilada combination plate and it was good, though could have been spicier (I didn't ask for it hot, which might be my bad). Also, they had a good salad for those healthier folks-and those are harder to find in these little towns. I'm going back next time I'm in town for work.

We always go out of our way to hit this restaurant on our way home from Tucson. The food is always great. I totally disagree with all the bad reviews about the staff. We have never experienced a rude server on any of our visits. As a matter of fact, the one waitress even remembered us from an previous visit months earlier!! But I do agree that the chip bowl is a little skimpy. Regardless, Guayo's has great tasting Mexican food that makes the trip worth it.

Excellent green chili burro; loved the flour tortillas and salsa! Not a fan of the staff or interior decor.

Very good Mexican food. The red and green chiles are both very flavorful. The corn tortillas are excellent. Both the regular and hot salsas are fresh and delicious. The chips are a little bland, but that's why you have salsa. Shredded beef tacos are nice and juicy, with just the right amount of salt. Always worth going to if you're going through Globe.

Sometimes its good, sometimes not so good--its never great but its never quite bad. This past weekend, I ordered my usual favorite--green chicken enchiladas. This time, there was no flavor, little sauce--smothered in cheese and nearly inedible. Its not worth sending back--one it doesn't cost much and two, the folks that work there are about as friendly as a porcupine.

God Awful. Stopped here because we were famished after an 8 hour grueling hike in the Sierra Anchas, so you would think anything would taste amazing after that kind of workout. Wrong. Where do I begin? I guess with the first items the waitress brought to the table: a teeny-tiny bowl of cold, stale, fried tortilla (perhaps wonton?) chips and two bottles of the worst salsa I've ever tasted. I would take Pace any day over this stuff. They don't even give you a bowl for the salsa to dip your chips in, so you have to pour the horrible sauce over each individual chip. Oh, and should you actually choke down the 5 disgusting chips that fill up this shot glass sized bowl and want additional chips, they cost extra. I ordered the bean burro for an entree. It was saturated in grease, and the beans tasted like and had the consistency of paste. My boyfriend had the cheese enchiladas, and we were pretty confident the "cheese" was Velveeta. Everything was flavorless and the salsa was of no help. We passed a Taco Bell about 2 miles down the road, and I honestly would have rather gone there. Seriously bad. Someone else mentioned the decor - yes, it is hideously atrocious in there, but I could have overlooked that for good Mexican food. This was not Mexican food.

Ate here last week when I was in town to visit with classmates. There were about 20 of us and they put us in a big room where we could visit and talk as loudly as we wanted. The food was very good and the service was extraordinary, considering we did not have reservations. Great food, great service and very good prices. Thank you so much for making our reunion dinner so special.

I was there today with a group of about 20, as my car club stopped for lunch when we were touring the area. Solid Mexican combo plates. They lose a star for the service. We had one server and she couldn't handle us on her own. Too many screwed up orders and forgotten refills. Still, it's wasn't that bad.

Very good red chili meat. Tortillas were fresh and tasty with butter on them. We really love this place hidden on the downtown street of Miami where all the antique shops are. I would suggest if you are in the mood for really good Mexican food hidden away in an old historic town and business district ... this is the place. The only reason they did not get 5 stars was because the service was a little spacey. They kept forgetting about us needing drink refils and just seemed like they had to much other stuff going on but there were only a few of us eating at the time. If the service improves - next time they will get 5 stars because the food really was amazing!

Nothing bad on the menu. Excellent service and food...

I've been coming to this place for 38 years. The food is fantastic. Service ebbs and flows but the food is worth it.
