Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Crap. Absolute crap. Came in here with a friend who lives in Globe, and we ordered the large supreme pizza. Supremely disgusting is what it was. It was surreal. I believe this was on Father's Day, and it's right on the highway and was fairly busy and looked like a legit Italian restaurant. Worst pizza of my life by far (and probably my worst meal out, ever). This includes microwaved Tony's Pizzas, botched homemade jobs, etc. Tasted like a stale saltine with 99 cent canned veggies and half-cooked cheese. No fresh toppings at all. About $3 worth of ingredients for $18. Nice extortionate mark-up there, DeMarco's! I don't get it. The guy just looked at us dumbstruck when we each took turns calmly, nicely telling him that the pizza wasn't-a-so-good, you know what I'm talkin' about? No response. No, "Oh, we're awful sorry, we'll give you huge discount...or vouchers for a freebie..." or, something. Really, we were ever so nice, when our luncheon was completely ruined by something I wouldn't feed a dog. When my friend, who had offered to buy lunch went up to the front counter to pay, apparently the girl was a total snot - when she'd asked how everything was and he replied honestly; didn't care, didn't say a word. I hate this place, because we were having such a good day up until being faced with, "Do we make a scene and refuse to pay?" - which we ethically, morally and gastronomically had EVERY RIGHT to do, but...who wants to be that guy, right? And that's what they are likely banking on, the schmucks. Note to DeMarco's and all businesses who obviously know zero about serving quality and charging comparable prices for it, and also about make-goods and (gasp!) customer service - your arrogance and/or ineptitude is well-noted by we savvy customers/online reviewers and we WILL share our minds with others. Word of mouth advertising - a shabby establishment's worst nightmare.

Okay, I know it's Globe and there's nothing else around that's italian. But this place isn't even on par with the former Italian fast-food chain "Fazolis." Is it just me, or should an Italian restaurant actually serve Italian bread instead of some braided mish-mash that came out of a Pillsbury tube???? Sauce was sweet - possibly modified hunts canned sauce. Meatballs were okay. The pasta was cooked beyond al-dente. Waitress is a beyotch! Basically, if you're in Globe, stick to what Globe knows best.....MEXICAN!

DeMarco's wasn't bad. I've eaten there several times and will go back. EDIT: I upped the ante to '4 star' since the food is def good by local standards. :)

Big disappointment! They are stingy on meats. Ordered lasagne & only found 2 crumbs of meat in my serving & there was none in my husband's serving. The cheese seemed artificial because it was rubbery & weird. House wine was very bad. We told the waiitress how bad it was. She offered a different wine which was much better. We still had to pay for the wine we sent back. She refused us a small sample. Olive Garden they are not. Salad lettuce was wilted. & room temperature. Do not recommend.

5 stars ----because--- it IS deffinatly one of the best restaurants in GLOBE. This family business has also recently expanded ,to offer a " sister" restaurant , with the same great menu,in Superior Az. They have great pizza here by any standard. I love that they offer proper Greek toppings like GREEN OLIVES, spinach , fresh tomatos, garlic & anchovies! So unexpected in this tiny town! Dont worry -- they also have pepperoni .... The pastas are also very nice , house made sauces( of course)and come with fresh baked bread & a deluxe salad ( lots of " toppings" , so ask if you are " picky"). They always offer a fish o' the day , I can vouch that the salmon is worthwhile. Then there is dessert . No frozen cannolis here! Crispy pastry& Freshly piped-in filling, moments before it comes to you--- also Lemonchello liquor in the cooler---am I in New York?Sometimes I stop in ,just for the cannollis to-go.They also have about 6-8 Bryers icecream flavors, including Spumoni. They have beer wine & liquor too! This restaurant is family run , always a family member is there, ( maybe in the kitchen , tho) it seems they really care. I guess my only suggestion would be , that the plastic checkerd( sticky) tablecloths seem " cheap". The amosphere says " cheap pizza parlour" but the menu prices & offerings say "fine dining".There are so few " special occasion " places in Globe---- this place could step up the decor/ lighting just a little and be a real place for a date& other "special" times. Maybe even just tablecloths& candles for holidays, like valentines day etc.? Globe needs a " fine " restaurant ----this place is as close as it gets.

Pasta was actually pretty good, penne with olive oil & pine nuts. Service was ok. Most of the menu is standard Italian. Building and furnishings are ok but slightly worn, just like the rest of Globe, AZ.

So good! Had a shrimp Diablo pasta dish and it was one of the best I ever had. Server was super nice too.

I've never visited their actual location but we order pizza from them sometimes at my work. I have to say, it's probably the best pizza place in Globe! (You can tell we order pizza a lot at work). I like their pizza because it's well-seasoned and thin-crust, which is my favorite combo for pizza. There's not too many dining options in Globe, but I think if you're in the mood for pizza, you should stop by here!

Without a doubt, the worst Italian food I have ever had. Bring Italian myself, I can cook circles around the cooks at this place. We ate here on our second trip to Globe and will honestly never eat here again. There were 8 of us and none of us liked our dishes . The chicken Marsala consisted of chunks of dry and tasteless chicken over some equally dry spaghetti... There was no Marsala sauce or mushrooms... The Alfredo shrimp Diablo tasted like some pasta, cream and taco seasoning with some microscopic shrimps... The list goes on... The food was just.. Well, awful.

If you want pizza, this is the best place in Globe. They get 5 stars for their pizza. Except that they use canned mushrooms which is pretty gross. If you want any other kind of Italian food, it's kind of a crap shoot. Salads aren't great (cold cuts are used for the meat in the salads). 3 stars for the rest of their food. Plus they seem to be randomly closed sometimes when they are supposed to be open, which can be pretty frustrating. Overall, 4 stars. Thanks for the good pizza.

Stromboli. Isn't that the name of the evil puppeteer in Pinocchio? Other than the classic fairy tale, this was the first time I've ever heard of a Stromboli. So I asked our very calm-mannered waiter what stromboli's were about. It's basically an inside-out pizza. What's the difference between a stromboli and a calzone? (...insert your own clever punchline here since stromboli/calzone jokes don't exist. No really, I googled it.) From what I could gather on Wikipedia, calzones are stuffed pockets whereas a stromboli is rolled like a burrito. Feel free to comment if you have a better description. Regardless of the various combinations involving pizza dough, tomato sauce, and vegetables, the Veggie Stromboli was a real pleaser! They have other varieties for you meat-eaters and it usually involves cheese. But I was extremely happy with my Veggie Stromboli stuffed with broccoli, mushrooms, artichokes, and tomato sauce. bit.ly/MeaRk6 Points to our helpful waiter who confidently informed me that the pizza dough does not contain butter. Our waiter also had this interesting calmness about him. I was nearly fascinated! The restaurant was also unusually quiet for having so many people inside. Very twilight zone. Just an observation. My only issue with the stromboli was that the mushrooms looked like the kind of mushrooms you get from a can. You know, it has a specific texture and taste from being stored in water. I not hating though. Still good stuff! Generous portion size so I gladly ate half of the stromboli and took the other half for leftovers. When we were leaving, I remember seeing an really interesting margarita flavor on the board. I wanna say something along the lines of Chocolate Basil or Strawberry Basil? I wish I could remember. Not bad for the middle of nowhere!

Stopped on the way back from Lakeside. Clean and good smelling restrooms, warm welcome, attentive service. Food was great, everyone cleaned their plate. Serving size was on the large side. Fresh salad. We will be back. Stop in and have some good Italian

This is a surprisingly wonderful restaurant! The bread and marinara sauce are amazing. To me the sauce can make or break an Italian restaurant and this place does an excellent job. The atmosphere looks too casual for the quality of food they serve.

Sunday, January 19th, 2014 We had the privilege of eating at DeMarco's Restaurant for the 2nd time in a month, and again we enjoyed a perfect meal with perfect service! The meals alone are to die for, but the homemade bread makes it all even more delicious! We can't wait to go back again! See you all there! :-)

The staff was good, attentive and friendly. The place is nice and clean. But we can't say much about their pizza. :( we got mushrooms on ours and they were from out of a can. Not fresh and sliced by hand. Please... Give me fresh ingredients! We have not tried their other food. And it's highly unlikely that we will.

Used to be good. Now all pre packaged, no fresh ingredients, canned. We live in Globe and used to go often -- not any more. Edited 3-23-14. Changed to 3 stars because of really good hot sandwiches on just baked bread plus had a really good pizza there one day at lunch. I'd still hesitate to order pasta type dishes. Just has not proved to a good choice in recent months.

Not bad at all. If this were a different town then I would give it 3 stars. However Globe/Miami doesn't have much variety. The food is pretty good. Some times it is a little greasy. I have always had good service and the prices are not half bad either.

A nice place to eat Italian, considering the population of the town! We were traveling through AZ on our way to NM, and stayed here overnight. We had a half carafe of the house Chianti, which was very good. For appetizers, we had the fried calamari and shrimp cocktail. The calamari was superb, but the shrimp cocktail was warm and rubbery, like they just took it out of the freezer and ran it under hot water to defrost. They were small to medium in size. The cocktail included the six shrimp and cocktail sauce, but they were priced higher than the calamari. Pass on the shrimp cocktail. Our main course was spaghetti and meatball for the wife and lasagna for me. Of course we shared. The meal came with a small side salad and two big, warm rolls with butter. Portions were ample, and we took some back to the motel, where we had a small fridge, for later. Both main courses were very tasy, but the sauce on the spaghetti was only average. If you either live in Globe, or are traveling through it, and have a hankering for Italian, try this place, as we are sure you will like the food and the reasonable prices. Good, friendly service.

De Marco's is the only Italian restaurant in Globe, so there is not a whole lot to complain about or compare it to in town. It is a break from the norm of Mexican food and greasy diner food. Plus, by Globe standards, it is a good "date restaurant." Those are few and far between in Globe. Overall, they serve decent food but the service is usually very slow.

My husband and I just got back from dinner at De Marco's. We were very pleased!!! First off, we had a male waiter and he was fantastic! His service and personality were great. I was torn between 2 menu items and he helped with his recommendation between the 2. I had the chicken parmasean and my husband had the chicken marsala. The parm was delicious!! Clean and fresh white meat chicken with just the right amount of breading on it. The sauce and cheese were delicious! My husband said his marsala was very tasty! I also have to comment on the bread because it is CRAZY GOOD! I would go back just for that alone. I'm excited to try the pizza and calzones next time we go because the waiter said that same dough is used for those. The atmosphere is cute. A row of booths behind a trellace allows you a great view of the place. We will be back De Marco's! Keep up the great work on the quality and freshness of your food! And our waiter should train the other servers because he was top notch!

Well... I tried this place based on the reviews and the fact it was one mile from my hotel. Let me start by saying the calamari tastes more like frozen over breaded deep fried rubber bands. The manicotti was pretty good and the bread they bring is great. In a small town like this one it will do in a pinch when you're craving Italian. The waitress was very argumentative with an elderly customer over him admit tingly misreading the daily special board vs. the menu, kind of a turn off especially when it was only over four dollars. I may come back for other items but request a different server. I've been back several times and other than the calamari and the one waitress, I've really enjoyed the food. I will continue to return.

Restaurant excels at heating up the stuff they buy at Costco. Everything tasted ok and was served hot (or cold for the salads), but from the meatballs to the raviolis, everything was clearly not homemade. If you're looking for a change from fast food in both price and food, this is an option. Think I'd op for my own cooking next time.

Our FAVORITE spot. Kids LOVE the pizzas that even come in XL size. But the Strombolis and Cheesesteaks are the class act here. Coming from Pennsylvania, I KNOW what a real cheesesteak should taste like. These guys bake their own italian bread and offer MASSIVE sandwiches at a great price. Get the large sandwich and eat it for dinner later or share it between two people then and there. You will not be disappointed!
