In a town full of great coffee shops, this stands as one of the best. Not only do they serve great beverages, but they serve a wide assortment of food ranging from breakfast sandwiches, to waffles, to hamburgers. They also have wifi, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. So in short, it's the perfect destination for a working college student. However, this place has a tendency to become very crowded and noisy. Also, some of the seats are awkwardly placed so it can get cramped. Finally, I feel that this place tries too hard to be all things to everyone, which results in the barista's and the cooks to become confused about what to prepare at times and how, which could lead to long waits for food and drinks. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it can be frustrating. It's a great coffee shop nonetheless.

I have worked in a coffee shop and other various customer service oriented positions, and I have to say there is nothing appealing about this shop, the beverages (didn't try the food), or the service. Really the only plus is the nice scenic view from the patio. The girl working behind the counter didn't greet me when I walked up to order, and pretty much ignored me until she finished what she was doing. Granted, she was busy making a drink, but it's still good customer service to acknowledge a waiting customer - That was the first part i had a problem with. She was nice when she took my order, but as soon as I payed she went back to ignoring me as she made my drink. I noticed that the only straws they have are behind the counter, and they are all sleeveless straws that are exposed. When she finished making my drink she grabbed the straw with her bare hands (I hadn't seen her wash her hands up until this point), stuck it in my drink, and put the beverage beneath a heat lamp without a word. I understand the intention behind the heat lamp, but you don't put a frozen beverage underneath one. And, the fact that she grabbed my straw with her bare hands really grossed me out.

I go here way too often. More than Starbucks!! The reason I choose this cafe is mainly because of the proximity to NAU and where I live. I like that there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well. This has become my ritual spot for study sessions, but be warned, wifi can get annoyingly slow. Especially during their busier hours. If I am honest I would say their food is just mediocre. The prices are on the steep side as well. I remember one time I came here after class for lunch and it pretty much burned a hole in my wallet. All I got was their Gyro Salad ($7.95) and a strawberry banana smoothie... The total was $15.76. The smoothie was absolutely flavorless, too. A girlfriend got their passion fruit smoothie once and barely drank half, since it was too sweet. Smoothies NOT recommended. The only one I enjoyed was their taro one. RECOMMENDED: Omelettes! I usually get their Flagstaff Omelette (~$6.95) and I love that it comes with your choice of toast and potatoes. I feel that's a fair price for what it is. I also would suggest getting their combination specials. They have a deal for a ham/cheese croissant or bagel with a side of coffee for $4.95. I think you can also do that deal with any pastry in their display case. Can't forget! Happy hour everyday 4-6 pm. All drinks are buy one, get one free. What's great about this spot is that there's tons of foods and drinks to choose from! Plus, the atmosphere is perfect for getting some work done with some buddies. Convenient location walking distance from campus.

This is a great place to grab an espresso drink and some breakfast or lunch. They have a short order grill as well as a wide selection baked goods and of teas in addition to coffee drinks. My personal favorite is the egg and cheese croissant. This place is popular with students. most of the time it is a good place to study. When I worked at the University I would hold team meetings here once a month or so. They have a stage that hosts local artists some evenings. It is not a good place to study when a band is playing due to the noise and crowd.

I visited Flagstaff in August and Campus Coffee Bean has the best espresso I've ever had. The Barista was very professional and provided great service! Appreciated the abundance of places to plug my computer in and the spacious seating areas.

Could be a mixture of nostalgia and pride, but this is my favorite cafe in Flagstaff. Good food, good coffee, plenty of space to spread out and read, work, and have good conversation. Unlike other Flagstaff cafes, it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. No crazy hipster vibe or intimidatingly "cool" baristas. You can park without worrying of being towed. I appreciate that. I feel welcome there, comfortable, and the music somehow magically always adapts its volume and style to perfectly promote my reading/writing/work I've brought there that day. I've been a regular for five years and look forward to many more. Love it.

I was passing through Flagstaff and I always prefer to take my business to local shops as opposed to chains like Starbucks. This place was so cozy and had an extensive menu for breakfast lovers. I was content with just a bagel and butter but what I LOVED was their giant array of teas to choose from! Literally 2 walls lines with various teas to choose from. I wish I had that set up at home. The wait to order and receive my bagel was pretty long, but they were busy and the guy ringing me up was also who was making the drinks and bagels as well. I tipped him for the hustle because I left a happy girl :)
(5)Corey M.
Great place still! This place has been here for many moons! Every time i come in it's great food and coffee. Great breakfast all day and good music. Good place to hang out on the west end of town.

This was the first coffee shop we were taken to last year when my daughter decided on NAU. Last Wednesday the 26th I went in early because I was catching the shuttle to Phoenix to fly home and what an awful experience. Usually there's really nice employees there and they take care of you. NOT THAT MORNING!!!! An old guy was there VERY RUDE AND TOTALLY WORTHLESS!!!! I always put heavy whipping cream in my coffee and always get it when I ask. NOT FROM THIS JERK!!! And then I like medium or light roast...NOT THAT MORNING!!!! Basically was told to find another coffee shop in Flagstaff. Or don't go early in the morning when the OLD MAN is working. HE WONT HELP YA. OR EVEN SMILE !!!! Don't know if he's the owner or not but if he is it's a good thing he has nice students working for him or don't think this place would have made it past the first month....any suggestions of another coffee shop will be great:)
(1)Kelly T.
Went for breakfast. Small line. Food was good. It took over 30 minutes. 1 cook who was trying hard but needed help. The owner is slinging food up in the window that the customers have to pick up and figure out who's is who's. He needs a class..... WEAK!
(3)Drake N.
Place is awesome. Coffee was delicious and the bacon egg croissant was amazing. It touched my soul. I'd like to move here bath in the scones. The painting on the wall will give me lots of nightmares, but that's OK. I've been dealing with the darkness for quite some time now.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I am not sure how I want this to go. I usually lean on the side of higher ratings, and I am this time as well, as I really want to give this place a two star, but I really think it is because other yelpers may have built up my expectations. I chose to come here for a few reason, all of which I got from Yelp. 1. It was highly reviewed on a whole. 2. Reviews said it was a good place to get work done 3. Reviews said it had fast wifi 1. The wifi, was VERY slow, clocked in at .583 Mbps, there was also very few people there, about 10 total, so I don't think it was just getting sucked away by others. 2. As for a a good place to get work done, there were lots of outlets, and tables, but they had music playing VERY loud, which is poor for working / studying / etc. 3. As for it being highly reviewed on a whole, outside of the two above, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Service was friendly, but very slow. This may be atypical due to the time, as we were there around lunch, but it is very doubtful I would choose this place as a destination again.
(3)Leah B.
I'm just not a fan. Slow service. Very basic breakfast sandwiches, omelets, burritos. Last time I had a chorizo breakfast burrito which was very bland: way too many potatoes, cheese and greasy choizo wrapped in a flour tortilla for $7 with a pathetic little orange slice on the side. Adding a coffee served in an old school small mug was $10. Today, they were out of most bagels, so I got an egg and cheese on a mish mash (everything) bagel. No choice of cheese and I don't think they offer egg whites. On the menu its $3.50 which is very reasonable. However, I added a large coffee which was $2.35. However, the guy at the register said, oh that's the breakfast special and charged me $5.95. I don't really care, nor did I say anything, but why would the special be MORE MONEY than if you got them separate. The ambiance reminds me of a old school musty cabin with mismatched decor. I haven't tried lunch here, but probably will not....
(3)Rob B.
After noting that this place holds a four star rating I came in with high hopes, but lost what enthusiasm would have made this place one of my regular hangouts after I swallowed the last drop of coffee from my small 12oz cup and learned that all refills are not only self serve but .50 cents ea :-(....... So much for the idea of sitting here to sip coffee. Now I realize that 50 cents of course won't break the bank but with a name like "Campus Coffee Bean" one would almost assuredly expect to at least find plain black coffee available at a reasonable price....so much for accommodating the poor college student in this area. Now I am aware that this is the 21st Century, and things have changed. I have adapted to the fact that decent coffee cost more money. I am not opposed to getting my own coffee when that is the setup but in this case, the $2.35 price for one self served 12oz mug of black "gourmet" coffee, and .50 cent refill charge didn't feel right. In fact it just left me with a renewed affection for any establishment where I can still stop in for a cup of hot coffee, read the paper or visit with a friend while enjoying the pleasure of that coffee kept hot by pleasant wait staff, who by the way I am quite willing and glad to reward afterward for making such an experience possible. Obviously I am in the minority as many do seem to enjoy this place, but none the less in my old school mind I cannot see giving this place anymore than (2) two stars!!!

The first time I ate breakfast here and got food poisoning, I figured it was the Thai place downtown I visited for dinner. The second time, I was willing to pass off as just bad luck or a rare mistake in food prep. This being the third time, I'm forced to conclude that something is seriously wrong with the Bean's kitchen. The coffee is decent. That's the best I can say. The prices? Not so much. A bagel (Made by Biff's, available there for $.95) and a cup of coffee run over five bucks. Getting a decent breakfast or lunch costs upwards of twelve. The staff is mostly friendly, however there seems to be little to no oversight. Whether or not you get polite, efficient service entirely depends on who works the counter that day. I've waited for five minutes at the counter, first in line, for the young woman taking orders to finish wiping a table. Honestly the only thing the Campus Coffee Bean has going for it is the location, which is probably what keeps it in business; it certainly isn't the food, the prices or the service.
(1)Sacha A.
Ordered a breakfast bagel and a triple espresso: total $10.35. I double checked. But that was correct. $5.75 + tax for a small bagel. It was freshly made. I have to give them that. But still. For a college coffee place. Then a single espresso is $1.85. Every extra shot $0.85 cents more. That's harsh. Anyway. Coffee was great and bagel OK. But I won't be back at these prices.
(2)Mike S.
Really good place for breakfast. The omelets are big and they come with potatoes and toast. The coffee is organic and is really good. Very friendly employees too.
(5)Aaron H.
The works breakfast burrito is fantastic and I loved hearing Jane's Addiction on the radio as I ate my breakfast. Would've given five stars but they didn't have a bold coffee that suited me. You know, the kind of stuff they have to treat you for bruises rather than burns if you spill it in your lap. Other coffee selections were tasty, though. Overall, great local place for a quick breakfast!
(4)Rico M.
Awesome place. Love the atmosphere of the shop. Their Gyro Plate is to die for... So delicious. And they have Boba Tea which I've been dying to have some for quiet some time. Love this campus coffee and it's always a good place for me to edit my photos.
(5)Arlin B.
The Campus Coffee Bean is a great place for a tasty cup of Joe, some small sweet bites and super fast wifi! This iis a great alternative to some of the other coffee places in the area. The staff is usually very friendly and eager to make you what ever you're caffeinated craving for. I do think their baked goods, especially their muffins are the Best thing they sell! They offer plenty of room for you to use whether it's to have some lite convo with someone, reading a book or hogging a table with multiple laptops trying to make this place your office... So if your in the area and looking for a very good place to enjoy some coffee/tea, this is a great place. I hope to see you there!
(4)Miaki M.
This was my go-to place when I came to NAU for my summer classes. I usually came in the mornings for coffee and breakfast to go. I always ordered the same breakfast (ham/egg/cheese croissant) and have never been disappointed. The same goes for my blended mocha drink. I just wish that it came in a smaller size when I didn't need too much of a jolt! In the mornings there always seemed to be 1 person at the register/making drinks and 1 person cooking. Since they make your food to order, I always made sure I came early and had enough time to make it to class. If you're in a rush head somewhere else, unless you're the only 1 in line and no other meals are being prepared. Service was always nice but sometimes slow, depending on the person at the register. However, when it was slow I noticed that the cashier was usually having a friendly conversation with the customer at the counter. In those cases I can excuse slower service because it shows the employees are actually taking an interest in their customers. I tend to not be lenient when employees are slow because they are chatting it up with coworkers, although this has never been the case here. Other than wait time my only complaint is the price. My breakfast easily cost close to $12. Had I gone to a fast food place, it would be half to three-quarters of that price (based on portion size). I don't know if this is the norm in the area due to location but nevertheless, the price prevented me from stopping by as much as I wanted to visit. I wish there was a similar place closer to home. When I am back in the area, I'll be sure to stop by!

I am sure that this place was once THE favorite coffee place for students on NAU, which is less than a block away. In the last few years, however, a LOT of development has seen the introduction of several coffee chains located directly on campus - inside the various eateries and academic buildings there. Starbucks and Einstein and others have the benefit of locations that are far closer to dorm rooms and classrooms, which I am sure means less business out at Campus Coffee Bean. That's a shame, because this place is very nice. Open at 6am 7 days a week, it may be the only coffee shop in town to have such excellent early morning hours - with a full kitchen to boot! That's right. All the food served here, from breakfast at 8am to lunch and dinner until 8pm is made in house. At that point, one could almost stop calling it a coffee shop and start calling it a full service restaurant. But... at the same time, the coffee-house vibe is so carefully cultivated that it would be a shame to downgrade the status to that of a restaurant. Instead, we will call it a coffee shop with an excellent menu and kitchen. This place has ample seating, room for at least 60 including some very cozy tables off in the corners. There is also plenty of patio seating which is perfect for the unseasonably warm afternoons Flagstaff has been experiencing this January. The aformentioned decor is excellent. Very functional and befitting a coffee shop so close to campus. Despite the clear targeting towards college students, everyone in the building besides myself is over 30. It's 7:30am and there are only five of us so far. I am sure it will get more crowded towards lunch and into the evening. I have heard tell that hey host events here and that it is a popular place for students to meet off-campus. An extra-special bonus in my eyes is that the seats are ALL cushioned! Every single seat that I can see has a comfortable cushion for your bottom. almost as if to say - Hey! Stay a while! Relax! - It's one of those little details that a lot of the shops I have visited so far tend to miss. Plus, it's actually warm in here! Even sitting next to the window, as I tend to do, I am plenty warm. Howabout the coffee? Well, for an extra 50 cents, I was able to sample several kinds of coffee this morning. It's all serve-yourself and the refills are by the honor system. It's pretty good. The mild is mild, the medium is medium, the bold is exactly what I'm after. Not quite as good as Rendezvous, but a little better than some of the places I have sampled so far. I find that I am quickly becoming much more picky about my coffee. I suppose I should have expected that. The blueberry scone I got is just a little on the sweet side. Too much sugar for my taste, but it goes well with the bitterness of my coffee. I paid $5 and change for the scone and coffee, which is about $1 more than I think I should have. It looks like there might only be one person on staff for the early morning shift - but it isn't a problem. Service is fast and personable, though not quite as smiley or friendly as some places. Not a big deal; I do tend to give off a "fuck you" vibe before I've had coffee. I know a lot of people like that. No point wasting a smile on someone who hasn't had coffee yet (?) ;-) My only gripe about Campus Coffee Bean is the relentless country music coming through speakers hidden away throughout the building, including the restrooms. My headphones do a fine job of blocking it out - but if it is a staple around here, it will serve as a barrier to me returning. In fact, it might help explain the complete lack of students here... I could probably ask them to change it, but I hate being THAT high maintenance customer. The wifi here is very responsive. I can comfortably stream music, facebook, email and write on the site without encountering any issues. Certainly faster than most places I have been so far. The password is posted at the cash register and was fairly easy to find without having to nag the staff for it. Overall? I like it here. I would certainly come back if the country music would go away. I also hear excellent things about the food - so perhaps a midday or evening visit is merited.

Visited flagstaff for my first time this summer and while in town got the hankering for a good breakfast burrito... Yelped it out and decided on this place. One of the best Breakfast Burrito's i've ever had for sure. The meat was cooked perfectly and the burrito was the size of a regular chipotle burrito (which is great for a breakfast burrito). The potatoes were also cooked perfectly and the whole thing overall tasted delicious. Only downside is that our food took a solid 15 minutes to make and there was nobody ahead of us in line. Food is amazing just don't plan on being in/out too quickly.
(4)Dennis B.
Looks neat and it is a cosy little busy place, I saw someone getting breakfast and the plate looked good. It was some potatoes and eggs, I went to look for boba but they don't have any until summer. Lame. I asked for Thai tea and I got a Thai Frap instead, was 5.80 I did not want to cause a scene so I took it and went. Their Price for the Thai Frap was expense and it was not want I wanted, but the other half liked it so oh well. They have a HH at 4 until 6 for drinks if I remember right, so maybe I should come back for just reg coffee and drinks and some food, they also offer salads.
(3)C. N.
This is one of my favorite places in Flagstaff. There food selection is always fantastic. They have, obviously, great coffee, teas, and other hip drinks. The breakfast burrito is particularly awesome. Also the Grand Canyon sandwich is excellent. The atmosphere is chill and there is nothing pretentious about it. It is usually nice and quiet where one can do homework or other studies. They have a great open mic on Monday nights, live music on Friday nights! Not to mention, some of the cutest baristas in town! :) Overall a great place! Highly recommend!
(5)Jonah F.
Real local honey! Huge tea selection, self serve so fellow tea snobs this is the only place in town. Food is well prepared and fairly priced and the coffee is good too, though I'm mostly just leaving the review for the tea. Super fast wi-fi with lots of seating and the place has the feel if an independent who cares, attention to detail and chill staff. I wish every town I visited had a place like this.
(5)Alex L.
Decent coffee. Food seems a little overpriced. My main complaint is the service. I don't understand why the service is so slow here, even when it is not busy at all.
(3)Christopher G.
The trick with this kind of place is to manage expectations. We went in looking for a casual, hearty breakfast - we left a bit disappointed. The atmosphere is exactly what we wanted: it's a university kind of place, with slightly grungy decor, lots of students studying, and cheap refills on the coffee. I feel comfortable in cafes like this. The food though was a bit sad. I had a classic bacon and eggs breakfast, but the potatoes were almost stone cold, the bacon was over-cooked and small, and the best thing going for it all was the rye toast. My other half had a stack of pancakes, and while they were fine (real bananas and walnuts are always good) they were simply too big and heavy. I will give them full points for a good cup of coffee. If you just want to hang out, and you're not expecting too much, then it's a good place. If you want a nice brunch, I imagine Flagstaff has better options.
(3)Margot B.
Being new to Flagstaff, this place was a perfect first-find. They have a great selection of breakfast foods (both for comfort and health) and a HUGE selection of drinks. Seriously, they have at least 10 different kinds of chai. Also, definitely worth mentioning, the employees and even the crowd are all super friendly!
(5)Ez M.
I've been coming here for years. Finally compelled to write a review after a year-long absence. For $3.00, the coffee should be way better. And they tack on a $0.25 charge to a credit card sale under $5.00 which is not just offensive, I think it could be illegal...
(2)S O.
We stopped here when traveling cross country and are so glad we bypassed ihop (nasty!) which is nearby. The atmosphere is nice and they have a nice selection of coffees. The food is OK, but the pastry was not. The breakfast burrito was pretty good.
(3)Larr G.
I have been going to the Bean since it opened. at one time it was my off campus office. The coffee is good and the food is tasty. You can get a full meal or just a snack. The is outdoor setting in the summer and plenty of seating indoors. I like the Mars Hill. The owner, Roger, is often there in the morning, so he is hands on. The staff is friendly. I have never seen the place dirty, but I guess it can happen, so I disagree with other reviewers on this issue. The is even a bit of a view of the Peaks.
(5)Phil N.
This was a good place as an alternative to the big guys (you know who). I stopped in there 3 times over the week that I was in flagstaff and had a baked good every time. I must say the muffins were pretty darn awesome. As for the coffee, the drinks depended on the barista. After my brother-in-law and i were there two days in a row, he asked if he ordered something different because the cup was only half full that day as compared to the day prior. I just explained that different people make drinks differently, however, its not what I would expect from a good coffee shop. I will say that the Mochas, iced and hot vanilla lattes and plain lattes I had were pretty tasty though. The lines were always there and moving quite slow so that is a little bit of a bummer.
(3)Brandi B.
When I first moved to Flag a couple of years ago, I loved to eat here and kick back with a cup of coffee. Now? I almost never come here. I've had my drinks come out as the wrong drink several times, but it is so impossible to even get to the counter in the first place that it isn't worth fighting the crowd to get back to the barrista and get it fixed. The booths and tables are almost always dirty. They refuse to run their A/C for some bizarre reason, so it is always hot inside. And then there's the internet - not even worth hooking up to. The food is still good, and I have yet to get rude service (mostly just rushed service, which is understandable with how busy they always are). But it just isn't worth it for me to pay the prices they're asking.
(2)Dallas H.
Love this place!!!! One of the last really cool coffee places around. Its got that cool vibe, ya know?
(5)RA-chelle S.
I've been a patron since the late 90's & its a must stop for a cup of coffee or tea. See students studying or someone performing. Friendly atmosphere.
(5)Rebecca R.
The closest coffee shop to campus, which explains all the students hunched over their laptops, sipping coffee while they illegally download music (campus wifi prevents such mischief). The bagels and breakfast burritos are filling and cheap, perfect for the college budget. Food and drinks take a while to come out. They have a great selection of teas that you can order iced or hot. They also have bubble tea! They might be the only place in all of Flagstaff that does. With space to spread out, free wifi and nice bathrooms, this is a good place to go if you want to study. It's never to loud to read or do homework. They also have open mics and occasional shows, so this can be a happening spot at night, too!
(5)Jeff K.
I can't comment on the food as I haven't tried it yet (though it looks good) but the coffee is fantastic! They can make really any drink you want and the staff is friendly. The environment is low key and casual with students often doing homework or just hanging out. Worth stopping in!
(4)Caitlin B.
Food=good. Coffee=a little expensive, but good. INTERNET= TERRIBLE. I am spending the summer in Flag studying for the CA Bar Exam. Since Flag doesn't have any prep courses available in person, I'm taking my course online. The major component of the online course is a streaming lecture series, which I have to watch pretty much every day for the next two months. I had a dream. It involved biking to the Campus Coffee Bean every morning, getting coffee and breakfast, and watching a lecture in one of their comfy booths. Unfortunately, my dream was shattered this morning when I discovered that the bandwidth at the 'Bean is LITERALLY (I checked) 392 KB/s. I couldn't even load yelp to write this review. Instead I had to get on to NAU's campus and log in to the NAU network (6364 KB/s, FYI). Campus Coffee Bean, you just lost a summer's worth of business. :(
(2)Sopheak S.
Their coffee is awesome here. A wide selection and you really can't go wrong. It is a great place to just chill and maybe do some homework. They have wifi and a really nice atmosphere to get work done (coffee helps too). I have yet to try any of their teas, but I will soon and write an update. Be sure to come here between 4 and 6 for their happy hour! 2 for 1.. what a great deal! My girlfriend and I went here yesterday and tried their taro boba. about 6 dollars for one drink... a bit pricey.. but its the only semi-boba I know of in Flagstaff. It did not taste like taro milk tea at all... but if you don't know it is suppose to be taro milk tea... its pretty good. I wouldn't get it again, I'll just stick with their coffee and try their teas.
(4)Robert B.
Great coffee shop. Food is great. Friendly local staff
(5)Valerie C.
I enjoy the carmel iced latte very much. I usually order the chorizo burrito as well and it's very filling and good! It's a very casual coffee-hangout atmosphere. The staff is very nice. Sometimes the wait for the food is a little longer than expected but everything i've ordered from there has always been delicious! The green tea chai is also a good reccomendation for a drink!
(4)Erik P.
It's a interesting place to hang out near campus. The food is ok at best and the drinks nothing special. Usually pretty full because it's popular with the NAU students. I don't know why. I've been to better so it's gets a 2.
(2)Nathan P.
Get the Gyro. It's delicious. Coffee is decent but the food here is great. Also an awesome location to do homework and get things done, or just come relax and watch local bands.
(5)Bethie G.
Oy, has seriously gone downhill. Waited for I don't know how long just for a cup of coffee and no one to be seen except for the infamous grumpy line cook who you just don't want to make eye contact with. Finally left without anything because I was tired of waiting. This used to be such a great place, it makes me sad to see this happen.
(2)Sarah Y.
The Campus Coffee Bean is a good place to meet up with friends or study buddies. It is close to campus and offers good coffee, yummy treats, and acceptable food. There is nothing out of the ordinary about it, but there is nothing bad about it either. Keep in mind... this is not the place to stop in for a "quick cup of coffee" because the line is always long and the service is always slow.
(3)Brittany J.
The coffee is about just as costly as Starbucks, but the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. I like the green tea chai and the apple cider is also very tasty (and cheap). The internet is also free and pretty fast.
(4)Sarah S.
Great place to stop in for a decent cup of coffee. Not the best I've had, but I like that they have almond milk and they also have a few gluten free dishes.
(4)Farrah J.
This is a great place to study by yourself or meet up with a group because they have a couple booth and long tables and free WiFi and a pretty laid back vibe. It's close to campus, though, so a lot of people have the same idea and there are students camped out with laptops. The food isn't spectacular, but it's not bad. I would probably recommend breakfast entrees over lunch. There are some pretty interesting items on the menu, though and they have pastries, bagels, etc. They DO offer vegan options. Their espresso is probably my favorite choice and they always have funky special seasonal drinks, although I've never tried one. The 'happy hour' is from 4 - 6 p.m. and means buy-1-get-1-free coffee drinks, which is pretty cool. Tea & coffee refills are 50 cents. They have pretty interesting live music sometimes too.

I had a really good greek omelette here. My husband had the pesto breakfast burrito which he didn't love but I did. They had an awesome selection of teas. They have a weird refill set up however. They have everything out on a table which makes it seem like it would be free refills. But then they have a little sign saying to put 50 cents in a box if you get a refill. That's fine, but weird, if you aren't familiar with it you might have to go back to your seat and dig around for some change. And then while we were there the employees were complaining about people not doing this. If you really want people to pay for their refills move stuff behind the counter, and don't complain about customers when there are customers there.

Yummy and nice place.

I like Campus Coffee Bean. I really like Campus Coffee Bean. In fact I love Campus Coffee Bean. Am I enamored? Infatuated? Oh yes. Here is a brief list of what this baby has going on: -really good coffee -great espresso drinks like cafe americano and cafe mocha -smokin' fast wifi even with a crowd of laptop wielding NAU students -diner style breakfasts. Seriously. Eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast, omelette's, etc. -pastries -a full lunch menu that is served until 9pm. -friendly, hip staff -funky atmosphere -who knew I would like green tea chai? -I'll get used to your acoustic heavy soundtrack...small price to pay for everything else you bring to the relationship Campus Coffee Bean you had me at coffee. But you gave so much more. Will you move to Utah with me and be my second spouse? Can I give you my hotel room number? Call me.

So awesome. Simply stated. Lots of space to do work, reasonable prices... everyone is spread out (not cramped). Lovely, simply lovely.

Inside it looks like a Neo Hippie haven ... kinda neat actually ... the coffee it's self ... "ok" ...

I'm only in Flagstaff like once a year, if that, but ever since my friend took us here in 2009 I've been a fan. We stopped in for drinks over the weekend while we were visiting and I just love that this is a REAL coffee shop, not a lame Starbucks. The cashier/barista was pleasant and my drink and muffin tasted just as I wanted them too, delicious.

Great atmposhere, quick wifi, and friendly patrons. Lots of space, decent enough amounts of outlets (from what I could tell-but I didn't look that hard) Dude at the counter was amusing, so I gave him a tip even though he only got a mug off the shelf and a pastry out of the display. Said pastry was tasty, too cold at first (chocolate filled croissant) but was at the right temp a bit later to be properly enjoyed. Drip coffee was a bit chilly, but I suppose with the outside temp in the 40's that doesn't take long even if its inside. Parking lot is a hoot...but was total Flagstaff. Coupon found in the campus coupon book-found it at a display at the bookstore but seemed like there would be other displays around town. Non-Chain coffee shop which is HIGHLY lovely and refreshing compared to what is readily available for the most part. I'd go back the next time I was in Flag if I was in need of coffee and wifi.

This is a great place to hang out, meet up with some friends or just sit down for some coffee and food. There are plenty of chairs and table, and booths as well as a bar area. If you're studying there are about 3 or 4 tables in the back area away from everything which is nice. A lot, if not all, of their menu items (food wise) are named after things in Flagstaff or around Flagstaff. I had the Mars Hill sandwich which was great, I also tried the strawberry banana smoothie which was very good as well and they put fresh fruit in the smoothie too! And they also offer yerba mate!

It's a nice place to study and it's so near campus. There are always college students there with there laptop. I tried a smoothie and a caramel coffee kinda drink. It was pretty good. Though it's quite similar to Starbucks.

The poor guy behind the counter was clearly overworked. The only one there; running around trying to take orders, make drinks, ect. I ordered an iced, nonfat, sugar free double shot caramel latte... "We're out of sugar free caramel" Weak. Ok, I'll just take the regular I suppose... 5 minutes later my drink comes up and it's hot. Another 5 minute wait till he clears the rest of the customers that were in line. Then another couple of minute wait for the drink to be remade... The end result... it tasted as though it was mostly sweet milk. No coffee flavor at all... that and a biscotti for 7 bucks? I expected more.

Good coffee, good baked goods. Very pleased. Great baked goods, great coffee.

decent internet and wifi. lot's of seating. coffee drinks are kind of watered down. nice happy hour from 4-6 with 2 for 1 drinks. better coffee places in flag though...

I love this place. You can sit here for hours and do your homework without the baristas giving you dirty looks for not buying more. Their coffee and food is a little pricey but it's worth it if you need to write a paper. I've written many a paper here and this place never gets too loud to concentrate. It's also a great place to meet people to work on projects. The young Dems exec boar regularly meets here and I've met there a few times with study groups and others. The have a fantastic tea selection and the food is always really delicious. The one downside is that sometimes they have open mike night and ive accidentally found myself writing a paper while people are playing. I've also been kicked off the stage thing a few times while studying so that bands can set up. Usually the music playing isn't really my thing either.

We go here everytime we are in Flagstaff to hang out, use the internet etc. This is a great local place with a nice, local coffee house atmosphere. They play great music and I enjoy the decor and flair. The coffee is pretty good. Stronger than what I usually find in local coffee houses. The sandwitches and baked goods are really good as well. Sometimes the other food can be hit or miss but as far as coffee house food goes, it's some of the best. The wifi is really awesome as well. It's suprisingly quick given the number of NAU students who are there on the computer.

I like this place. Spacious, good food and coffee. The veggie breakfast burrito is great. Free WiFi (though a bit spotty). My only complaint is how slow the food is, and it is relatively expensive for what you get. I call ahead 15 minutes and place my order, if I know I am going there.

I love coming here. I love the wide array of seating. You can sit at a counter, or a booth, or a table near the mini stage or (my favorite area) in the hallway leading to the bathrooms. They have such good coffee (way better than Bookman's. Not better than Macy's) and it's cheap for the most part. You can buy a cup for a dollar something and refills are $0.50. Or you can get an endless cup for two something. I'm not really a fan of their mochas -- they always taste chalky and I'm not sure how to broach that issue when I talk to the barista. So I avoid buying them. I'm a coward.

Good Coffee. Great spot to hit on the way out of town. Not my fav but I will go there for sure to support the local business'. Not amazing coffee but better than most and especially Starbucks.
(3)Randy G.
Great coffee and great tea. The baked goods are great, and the ambiance is nice. Also, wi-fi gives it some extra points. Nothing exceptional, nothing horrible. Except.... Don't go at night, the music is terrible.
(3)Christina L.
Please can I have a coffee house such as this one in my town? Went here for a cup of joe on a visit to Flagstaff. Pretty cool. I'm at UCLA and we only have Starbucks, Coffeebean, and Peet's. Corporate America runs through the veins of the fellow Bruin. Such crap. Sigh.

Aside from its proximity to campus, I don't really know what the attraction is here. Maybe its the live performances? I haven't seen any yet. Yeah, its convenient, but nothing I've had was particularly good. I've been here three times for meetings, each time getting a drink and a pastry. Got the hot chocolate on the first time, a mocha on the second, and a chai this last time. Bland, bland, bland. They were all too watery for my taste. The pastries I've had there are not much better. The cinnamon roll was really really dry, and more bready than what I expect of a cinnamon roll (I guess Cinnabon spoils us). The muffin I had today was good, after I dipped it into my chai, but nothing special.

This is a great place to go to if you are vegan. I found some vegan cookies they were selling as well as other vegan stuff. They have a clean restroom and have good service.
(4)Chauncey C.
Love this place. been coming since high school. free internet. cheap drip. i love it. its everything a campus coffee shop should be.
(5)Jennifer B.
Great place to get a cup of coffee and study. Free wifi and plenty of seating, even when it's busy.
(5)Carlos J.
Laid back coffee shop with lots of selection and seating.

Seriously thee best Coffee I've ever had! And I've had quite a bit of coffee! We left Flagstaff, headed to Sedona & back home again. Couldn't stop talking about Campus Bean! I can't wait to go back! It was awesome to experience seeing the kids sing & play. We went for breakfast (awesome) & sweets in the evening. I wish there was a place like Campus Bean near home! Don't remember her name but the girl at the register, who also was the barista, was a sweetheart. Loved the chill vibe, different seating, music & location.
(4)Andrew B.
Very nice cafe / coffee shop. Quiet with lots of comfortable seating, modern interior, good WiFi, lots of power outlets and easy parking. This has become one of my favorite places to work.
(4)Katie C.
I don't mind this place. But, some people rave about how amazing it is. It's alright. Except the atmosphere sucks. There's always a horrible acoustic set that will make you want to escape to the patio only to realize there is no escape.
(3)Joanna Y.
I stopped at this place for a coffee yesterday and the first thing I noticed was the filthy pavement around the outside tables. Then the door handle which looked as though it had never been cleaned. I can only guess at the dirt that must be lurking where we can't see it. I won't be back.
(1)Charles B.
Easy stop if you're transiting on I-40. Great coffee and good treats. Service was friendly and prompt. Seems like a great neighborhood haunt, if you live in Flag.
(4)Cody M.
When I lived in Flagstaff many years ago, the Campus Coffee Bean was a regular stop for me, as it had great coffee and a good cultural ambience. I spent countless nights listening to poets reading their latest works and musicians strum away on their acoustic guitars. Unfortunately, life pulled me away from that mystical little town in northern Arizona, but when I make it up to Flag to visit, the Coffee Bean is always on my list of places to stop. They have a great menu, and I usually stop by for breakfast, before having to head back down to the Valley.

It's been years since I have been to this place and I remember now why I liked it so much. Excellent coffee and an outstanding omelette. If you are in Flagstaff ever, for anything, you have to at least swing by and grab a cup 'o joe.
(4)Sarah L.
Good food. Relatively inexpensive for the quantity and quality too. The cooks are really quick too! The drip coffee is meh. They serve Seattle's Best which is not that great. They make a really good apple chai and have a huge selection of tea, though, and their mochas and stuff are just fine. The food is really good. They have soups, salads, sandwiches (try the Mars Hill, hot, if you're not a vegetarian), all kinds of baked goodies, Naked juice, Jones soda, fruit, yogurt, chips, boba tea, a variety of chai teas, great (huge) muffins, and the best breakfast burrito ever (the tree hugger, or something-potatoes, cream cheese, spinach, and eggs). The food service can be slooooooow, though, so prepare to wait awhile. The employees are pretty cool and nice. The atmosphere is nice. They have a stage and frequently have musicians...though usually not anything I'd want to listen to so that sort of negates some of the good atmosphere. It's pretty big inside so there's lots of space to spread out and read the paper, study, hang out, etc. The parking situation sort of sucks because there are so many business right there.
(4)Ken T.
100s teas to choose from. Good ones. Real food for breakfast. They cook their own eggs. Bagels from Biffs. No microwave. Best I've found in Flagstaff so far.

Went in at 9:30am, and ordered three meals for me and my kids: drink and a scone, coffee and a egg bagel, and a cheese omelet. They were in a small rush, and I watched the guy behind the grill drop the spatula on the ground he had been walking all over, and pick it up and continue to use it. Around 9:45 my egg bagel was ready, but no scone and no omelet. My kid's cheese omelet was finally delivered 25 minutes later. We know because we had the receipt and they had a clock on the wall. Watching people in front of me and behind me get their orders made and served, I asked about our omelet to have them act like they were somehow victims and I was being unreasonable to ask to have the plates ready within 25 minutes of each other. So, if you want great atmosphere from a crew of butt hurt servers that drop spatulas on the floor and continue to use them without washing them, I heartily recommend the Campus Coffee Bean.
