We ordered the Tom Kha and the Larb. Both were excellent. The soup was so flavorful and satisfying. Nice pieces of chicken and lots of veggies. The Larb was very tasty and a perfect combo with the soup. I have had these dishes before at other places in southern California and this place is just as good as anywhere else I have been. Next time we are visiting our friends in Cottonwood we will definately go back. The prices were very reasonable and service was great.

Wow! Authentic Thai and great service. The food tasted fresh and we tried new dishes that were great. Recommend the vegetable rolls for an appetizer. The service was fast and attentive. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. This is a great spot that you should check out.

i've eaten here many times. It's always been delicious. Service is friendly. Note: if they say it's spicy or it has the three chili symbol, it really is spicy/hot. I'll be back!

I Love this place, we go here often. The Hot Pot of soups is an incredibly fun contained tabletop fire and the taste Lives up to the striking presentation. As good as I've had anywhere~ don't miss the Tom Yum with shrimp and the Coconut Tom Kha (I like it vegetarian or with tofu)... better yet, mix them!! The prices are very good, and for the quality a great value. The salmon curry is a generous portion of salmon and their curries are thick and rich like we like them. The saki is warm and smooth and salad comes free with your entree. I also Love the fried veggie egg rolls... plenty to choose from for Vegetarians. You can specify your heat, and it's spiced as expected for frequent Thai diners. The Coconut Princess is a fun change of pace for those who like sweet and lots of flavor. I have a hard time not getting curry, but when I've strayed, I've liked everything I've ordered. As with most restaurants, the only thing that would be an improvement for me is more organic and local offerings and wild salmon. Service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is appealing. Great for dates, lone diners and/or family night out. (Plenty of free parking).

Very good Thai food. Was not expecting such authentic Thai food on our road trip down from Sedona to Phoenix. Definitely worth the stop, yummy food!

We have been here twice and love this place. We drove an hour over the mountain just for dinner at this restaurant. We had their fresh spring rolls and shrimp in a clay pot. Their food is so fresh and the spices sing in your mouth.

I'm thinking of writing "One night in Bangkok makes a hard man grumble, or at least his stomach". This is not authentic Thai food. More like mediocre American-Chinese with cilantro, coconuts and peanuts. Someone told me this was the best Thai food in Cottonwood. Place is clean, staff is friendly but seating is awkward and just has a zero wow factor. The food came out way too quick (2 min) to be authentic or tasty.

Given that the last time I ate at Mai Thai on Main was take out, over three years ago I figured it was about time. Plus I live in a small ass town where 90% of the restaurants close on Mondays (as well as many not being open on Sunday!) Okay, the reality is that my friend Tiffany and I really wanted to go to the newer Thai Palace (which I still need to write up a review for), but they fell into that "Closed on Monday" thing. We both had it set in our heads to have some nice HOT Thai soup. What I learned about Ms. Tiff was that she meant hot as in heat. I meant hot as in SPICY! Which would explain why she got the Tom Kah Guy (coconut soup) and I ordered the Tom Yum Guy (hot and sour, though not sure where they get the sour from in this soup!). When the small bowls came, I was rather impressed at the overflowing nature of the vegetables and chicken. Then I realized that the bowls were sort of on the smallish side, especially coming in right at $4. But that's okay. Quantity is not one of my requirements for a fine dining experience. I would have rather they gave me the exact same amount of soup filler, but in a larger bowl with a ton more broth. That was where the "yummy" was hiding! Since the soups both appeared the same except for the broth, I was able to snake a spoonful of Tiff's coconut broth. Never a huge fan of the stuff, this bowl did nothing to convince me otherwise. And to be fair there didn't seem to be anything wrong with what I tasted, so I suppose I would recommend it. We were eating lite so the only other dish we ordered was their Pad Thai with chicken. You have to always judge a Thai place by how good their Pad Thai is, and this dish was right at that 3 of 5 star range. Nothing particularly wrong or off about it. In fact, all the ingredients were fresh, well cooked, and they even went traditional and threw in two large shrimp along with the chicken. The dish could probably have had a bit more flavor to it. But again, no real complaints. So while I'd recommend Mai Thai on Main, I'd probably direct you to the Thai Palace in old town, unless of course it's a Monday, and you REALLY want to soothe your sore throat with spicy, hot Thai soups!

Mai Thai has the moat amazing jungle curry that I have tasted outside of Thailand and Thai town in LA. I usually get it with beef and Thai spicy. I can feel the beads of sweat forming just thinking about it. I dropped by on my last visit to town and got some green curry (thai spicy) and brown rice, it was as good as anything I could get in San Fran. I had mango sticky rice for dessert and it was spot on, just like in Bangkok. If I had not got take out I would have asked where she got the fiberless mangos. Back in c-wood in a few weeks, hoping the mango sticky rice is still on the menu.

Good Thai food at a great price. The atmosphere is nice, quiet and clean. The staff is friendly an knowledgeable. I must admit that I prefer Thai Palace for the ambiance and quality of food even though it is more expensive. We are lucky to have two good choices in little Cottonwood!

So the food here was fantastic. The reason for the 2 stars? The service. Our waitress was rude. One of the members of our party got up from the table to use the restroom and while away from the table asked the waitress for more rice. A few moments later the waitress was at our table and a different member of our party asked for rice not know that the waitress had already been asked. The waitress was extremely rude in telling our table that she had already been asked. She was short with everyone at our table. She would not even pause long enough at our table for anyone to order any beverages. After the meal she brought us our checks with a 20% gratuity already added in. Adding a trip is not usually a problem but I don't recall it being posted anywhere and I don't believe that she deserved a 20% tip. She also added the tip after adding tax so that we were forced to tip on tax effectively raising the tip to 22% of the meal and drink price for less than exceptional service. I'll never go back there unless I now that that particular waitress is no longer working there.

Will definitely go again but spoiled by our Utah Thai restaurant in Jjordan Landing.

This is my least favorite Thai restaurant in Cottonwood. I came here immediately after a trip to Thailand and found the food amazingly bland and unauthentic. The service was very good and my date liked the food a lot. However I would recommend one of the other Thai restaurants much better

It has little Thai food and mostly mediocre Chinese. Has a long record of health violations.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! We have eaten here once before and it was bearable. This time it was just completely unacceptable! The owner and our waitress were both annoying and pushy trying to up sell everything! If you had a question they were rude and told you to read the menu to find your answer. My husbands meal was absolutely disgusting, I know this because I tried it myself. When he told the owner she said it was because they added a different ingredient and told him to order it different next time. She made no effort to try and help make his dining experience better or offer him a refund. I don't see this option as being unacceptable because I use to own a restaurant and did anything I could to satisfy my customers and make sure they had a good experience, this lady however did not! LAST BUT NOT LEAST, once we paid for our $91.30 tab with a $100 bill, we left the change for her tip. She had the audacity to bring back the change stating that we did not leave a 10% tip! I'm sorry but aren't tips supposed to be based off of the service provided! I could not believe it! If my grandmother did not eat here often I would have taken all of the change that she brought back, since apparently it was not good enough for her, and left! Do not support this kind of rude behavior, please support one of the newer Thai restaurants in town.

Went for a date night mid-week with husband... First the good: Chicken Satay appetizer was perfectly cooked with a nice sauce. The server was very nice. Now the rest: BBQ Chicken entree was on it's last leg. Literally. Dry and OLD. Didin't eat more than two bites and we weren't asked what was wrong. Had the Thai salad, it was okay. Peanut dressing was best part. Also had a veggie dish. Took home "healthy" veggie spring rolls. In rice paper, not fried. Very excited until we took a bite. It was like chewing Scope. WAY TOO MUCH MINT. But made for a fresh breath kiss at end of date night...

Fantastic food, reasonable price & great staff! This is a great place to go for a quite lunch or dinner & actually be able to hear what people in your party are saying as well as have a great meal. We like to start with the vegetarian rolls. They come with a Chili honey sauce this is out of this world. Then decision time. The chicken pad Thai is fabulous but so is the orange chicken, tempura shrimp, spicy mint leaves, pineapple friend rice and ginger chicken. It all rocks. The staff are very sweet and are very efficient in bringing hot food out. I will admit we are regulars sometimes 1-2x's per week and we are greeted with hugs. Take out is also very good, just watch the sauces as they can run out of the containers in your car. Great food, reasonable prices. Love!
