All you can eat catfish on Fridays. We have driven by this place so many times, and it was always packed. Now I see why. It is a country-cooking, southern-style restaurant.

This place looks like it can be featured on dives, diners, and drive-ins. It was like walking into a southern spot only seen on the food network. None of the tables or chairs matched, people of all ages, everyone knew everyone and they were serving some home cooking with sweet tea! The food was delicious and all homemade! Their daily special included chicken pot pie came with a side and salad for 6.96!! It was a solid meal with surprisingly large portions for the price. I'm assuming this is the southern hospitality at its best. With the wacky decorations, mixed and matched furniture, sweet tea, and southern hospitality I really can't wait till I can stop by again.

We'd driven by this place a few times during the day, and it looked like a good, homey spot so last night we decided to stop in for dinner. I'm always looking for a good, local spot in NWA. Before I begin: THERE IS NO BEER OR WINE. We overcame this news and stayed anyway. If you're still reading this: The scene: The first thing you notice upon entering is that IT'S VERY BRIGHT. It's like eating in a bingo parlor, with drop ceilings, bright fluorescent lighting and a linoleum floor. There's a nice big stone hearth with a wood-burning fireplace (which was roaring because it was 20 degrees out), but it get's lost because of how brightly lit it is. The place could have a lot of charm if they wanted to try. Atmosphere isn't what they're going for here though. They're about serving up an basic, affordable meal...which is just fine. The service: The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Like many places in NWA, they go out of their way to make you comfortable, and they immediately brought us a highchair for our boy. Our waitress was very sweet and great with the baby. She answered any questions we had about the menu with aplomb. The food: It's down-home cookin' for sure. They start by dropping a basket of saltine-type crackers on the table, along with your soda or iced tea. I don't understand it, but a lot of places around here do that. The menu has a selection of mainly meat dishes and salads. I had a cheeseburger and get this: 15 bean soup. Yeah you read that right. FIFTEEN. The burger was pretty run-of-the-mill, but tasty. A basic fried beef patty. I ate it all. The soup was really good. I didn't count all the bean varieties, but I bet there were 15. Navy, pinto, garbanzo, kidney, you name it. Some were more fabaceous than others, as I found out later in the evening. Great soup. My wife had the fried chicken salad with blueberry vinaigrette. She liked it. I did notice it was covered in that store-bought shredded cheese like you find in the supermarket. Our kid had grilled cheese and mashed potatoes. He seemed to enjoy it. Desserts listed included fried Oreos and fried snickers, and something called buttermilk pie (among many other things). We didn't try any of those. Overall, pretty good food with fair portions. Nothing fancy. We got out of there for $23, which isn't bad. I will come back.
