On my 1st visit to Little Rock, I was driven 30 minutes into the country. Not much around. Then we stopped at Cotham's. The building look very old and hangs over the swamp. It was lunch time and lots of cars parked. Inside is also old with lots of memorabilia. Service was good. Food took a little longer to get. A older guy was doing simple magic tricks and some balloon animals for the kids. We ordered a jalepeno hub cap burger, and regular size jalepeno burger and fried pickles. The both burgers are essentially the same. Hub cap is about a pound. Regular is about half pound. Burger was good and tastes fresh. Comes with French fries that are fine. Also got fried pickles. Big serving. Can share with up to 4 people. Overall an unique place. If you want to make an afternoon drive then worth the trip.

I can honestly say that Cotham's is overrated. The hubcap burger may be their claim to fame, but it just isn't that good. I was expecting the best burger this side of the Mississippi from all of the hype that I've heard. The fries were boring, but the fried pickles were a big winner. The atmosphere is decent and I liked the feel of an old timey general store that it has going on. If you have never been, you could hit Cotham's in the City and save yourself a drive.

We were in Little Rock this weekend by chance and wanted to try the Shut up Juice Challenge and the Mean Pig BBQ, but arrived too close to closing time so we re-routed to Cotham's for a hub cap burger. Charming location, building, staff and a darn good burger. Large (1lb) and juicy although cooked medium well +. Great iced tea and the fries were the standard frozen variety Fun time. If I hadn't just eaten a few hours prior I would have tried for the quadruple.

An awesome place to grab a great big homemade burger and some damned good fried green tomatoes. Definitely worth the extra travel time, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Ask for swamp water coffee if you feel like making them giggle. The old building is located on top of a swamp.

Although a good atmosphere, the food is much to be desired. The hubcap burger was not too good, bigtime overrated. The service was friendly, but it can't make up for the huge disappointment that cotham's really was.

Great burgers and soul food, with great, friendly servers. The atmosphere is a real blast from the past. The only thing I didn't really care for was their fried green tomatoes.

Had the standard size cheeseburger, which was quite large. Saw them bring out a few orders of their "hubcap" cheeseburgers, and those were even larger. Fries were good, and my wife enjoyed her chicken with gravy order. Free refills on the iced tea and sodas we ordered. Shared a Peach Cobbler with vanilla ice cream for desert and we were full. Not fancy inside, and the place looks like a wreck from outside, but it was a quiet, pleasant dining experience.

A typical meat and vegetable place like you find all over the south. I've been to much better though. I probably should have tried their burger, as they're supposed to be great and that seemed to be what everyone was ordering. I realize the location inside of an old country store adds to the charm, but I just couldn't help but think about how old and dirty the place was. The food was OK. I didn't think their selection of vegetables/sides were very good, as there was nothing "green" to choose from. I went with co-workers and we waited a long time for a table. The place was really packed from 12:00-1:00, but once we were seated, the waitress was very attentive.

Such a cute little restaurant. It has an old country feel to it. It's kind of creepy late night. The floors creek and there's just a wooded area around it. It's the perfect setting for a horror film! The food was decent. I ordered the jalapeño burger. I noticed every sandwhich/burger on the menu comes with mayo as it's dressing not catsup or mustard. That must be an Arkansas thing. The burger was decent. Not among the best I've had but not horrible. The fries were good. Again not amazing but not bad. For my burger and fries the total was $7.95. Not a bad deal. Also, the place is BYOB. There is a liquor store 3 miles up the road you can grab things at on your way to the restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly! We were the last people in the restaurant right at closing time. They made no actions to rush us or get us out. They let us finish our meals and even talked to us for a good ten minutes after we checked out. Overall this was a good experience. I would definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere and the history behind it. Do note that garmin takes you to the wrong address. You'll end up at a hair salon in the sticks. Use google maps or follow the yelp map!

The atmosphere is great however our waitress is a b****! Not only To us but everyone she was in contact with. If she is so miserable, get another job. The food was good, service very average. It was a Saturday evening at 5:00 pm, but no excuse for attitude. Otherwise pretty decent experience.

The Hubcab is a pound patty w/cheese and fixings on a normal bun. The bun is the hubcab and oversized patty is the tire around the hubcab. What the menu doesn"t tell you is that you can order more than 1 hubcab patty. I have seen people eat double and triple hubcabs...each patty weighs 17oz. A quad hubcab was showcased on ManVFood. It isn't a challenge or anything, was just advertised on the show, attempt a quad at your own risk, lol. Enjoy.

A real country style eatery that I really enjoyed. Half of the place is built into a swamp and there are farm animals all around the outside of the place that makes me wonder if they are tomorrows meal. The inside looks like an antique store and is dark but this place delivered for me. I ordered their hubcap burger (massive) and housed it.

It's been a few years since our last visit, and we thought it was time for another try. Weekday lunch is much faster than Saturday, as you might expect. The food was hot on the table in no time. Onion rings appeared handmade and were delicious. The patties fall apart as you cut them, meaning they are probably freshly made, never frozen. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and want to see an old-timey dive. For us, there are better tasting burgers at David's, but we'll probably come here occasionally for the atmosphere.

Cothams is one of those places you second guess yourself just before entering. Once you walk inside, see the regulars and taste their burgers that you just washed down with sweat tea, it all makes sense. However, do not be mistaken...it's country. It is in the middle of nowhere, off the beaten path, in an old wooden building that hangs over a swamp. To the left of the building is a pin of pigs and goats. I have been to Cothams many times and each time is always good as the last. The building is weather beaten with a fading sign. On the menu it tells the story of the building, where it started as a general store and a lock up for local criminals, and naturally it is now a burger destination, the ultimate hole-in-the-wall. Cothams is famous for the "Hub Cap." A burger they say that is the size of...well...a hub cap. I have yet to devote the time or the room for The Hub Cap but it is in the near future. I have seen it and it looks to be a challenge, but there's no prize for finishing it...just the heart burn that may follow. The menu has several options besides burgers but the burger is what they are known for. Their regular burgers are always good, with nothing greatly different about the taste, but they use freshly ground patties that come out piping hot. I think it's more of the atmosphere, the regulars and the employees that make their burger so good. The fried pies are a great way to end lunch as well. Cothams will always be a stop when I'm in town...as long as it hasn't fallen into the swamp below.

Fun and tasty. On our never-ending trip up to DC, I decided that we needed to stop here to eat. This was for 1) My sanity, and 2) an interesting side trip. My sanity had been taking a beating, due to the fact that the hubband was doing what he refers to as "driving." I, however, felt more like it was "narrowly avoiding large tractor-trailers, and thus escaping an untimely death." This place was fun, but we did get a LOT of stares. Mostly people trying to decide if hubs was a terrorist* or not. If you are a person of color (or even if you have a good tan going), you may want to come during the day, and with several other people.... We both got burgers. They were large, juicy, and tasty. Nothing I would ever crave, probably. I would come back if we were ever in the area, though. *(Not a terrorist, people. Just a meat-eating Hindu).

Out in the country - - old country store atmosphere with the sweetest folks to wait on you. Real old-fashioned burgers . . . not the thin, been smashed & frozen until they are dried out cardboard burgers . . . these are really juicy, thick and yummy burgers. Get yourself a big plate of fries and a tub of sweet tea and you will think you've died and gone to heaven! And you won't be hungry again until the same time tomorrow. Be sure to leave a big tip so they'll save you a seat! This place can get crowded. Be sure to take the time to go to Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park while you are out this direction. Walk some of those calories off!
