Colton's was a good option for road food while in AR. I got a salad with mashed potatos. The mashed potatos seemed almost drab, there was something muddy about their color and my choice of cheese and butter as a topping did little to help the situation. My steak was poorly seasoned and honestly...everything about Colton's said I'm trying to be Texas Roadhouse and doing a poor job. The peanuts at the table just scream of the same place. My main lament was the steak itself. It didn't have a solid seared crust on the outside with adequate salt. I need a tasty exterior to go with my juicy center.

My experience started off good, as the hostess & waitress were fast & friendly. The picture of the ribs & catfish caught my eye. My meal started with the fresh rolls and honey, and were very good. When my entree arrived, the catfish & sweet potato fries were both good, as well as the steamed veggies. Unfortunately, the ribs were not good! They were NOT slide off the bone and melt in your mouth good like I had hoped. Instead, I had to rip the meat off the bone, and you could actually hear the muscle fibers ripping, leaving a bunch of meat stuck to the bone. What I did pull off was chewy. Avoid the ribs!!

We came here for a work dinner and I was not impressed. The best part of the meal was the peanuts on the table and the service - and that's about where it ended. We started with the fried green beans, which were decent, but the southwest ranch sauce had virtually no flavor. My steak was well over cooked and lacked flavor. I had to douse it in Colton's steak sauce to make it palatable - but the steak sauce is strangely sweet, so ask for A1 instead. And of course, being in a dry county, there was limited drink options. The only wine they have is Woodbridge, and between the five people at the table drinking, we essentially shut them down. The waitress had to come back to collect our empty glass so they could wash it out and re-serve it because they ran out of glasses! All in all, I was not impressed.

After reading other reviews, we were hesitant to try this place. My wife and I had the catfish and ribs for lunch. The catfish was among the best we've ever had, and the ribs were tender and smoked to perfection. Our server, Whitney, was friendly, courteous and attentive.

This is a Southern steakhouse, but there are plenty of options for people who don't like southern food. There's a wide selection and in my experience the food is consistently good- And the rolls are amazing.

My husband and I ate here on Sunday evening and it was wonderful! We both had the Filet cooked medium and it came out perfect! So tender we didn't even need a knife. Our child's food took a little while to arrive and before I could ask, our waitress apologized for it taking so long. She said the child's plate looked way over cooked and hard so she had them remake it. To me, that was a great catch and what waitresses are suppose to do! Look at the food BEFORE it comes to the table. We will be back soon!

Had a terrible culinary experience at Colton's about 4 years ago and swore I'd never go back but was given a gift card recently. This trip was much better; the food was fresh, the service attentive, and my glass of cherry lime-aide was never empty. I'm not a believer yet but I'd at least consider a return trip.

Not happy with this lunch! Had the salmon salad. Wow, they cooked that salmon so well it was one step away from jerky. Rolls were good, fried pickles were adequate. Sorry that this review was not good, but it this meal was just not a good one.

Service was so so. Steak was great, but ribs and sides were awful. Needs a manager to run and could be a much better place to visit. I would not recommend to others

Good service, friendly waitress, but less than stellar food. Prices were decent for lunch menu, looked overpriced for dinner.

This place is very casual with lots of families dining in. A bowl of peanuts is provided as you are seated and customers toss the peanut shells onto the ground. You get the idea. Prices are reasonable and my steak was good, but the mashed potatoes that came as a side were completely room temperature. Waitress was indifferent. I would not recommend this place.
