So in my travels to Rogers, Arkansas on a bit of working vacation, I had booked a stay at the Guest Inn via Expedia.com . The price was more than reasonable for lodging and it was located in an area close to where I needed to be. My arrival was anticipated and overall my stay was a positive one. Now keep in mind this is an independent hotel. It's not part of a chain. So if you're the type that is expecting a luxurious suite quality room on a traveler's budget, then you're going to be disappointed. This hotel is a basic stay kind of place. There's no frills or fluffed up extras. Just a clean, affordable room to stay. The Good: All the staff were simply amazing and accommodating. When I checked in, there was a trainee behind the desk who was having a problem. Rather than wait around for the manager to get back with him, he checked me in and gave me a call later to figure out the financials. There's also ample parking. The room was surprisingly very clean and housekeeping came in daily while I was gone to clean up (no banging on the door early). They also offer free wireless internet, which is awesome for business travelers. On the last day (after a storm), that internet was down but I was checking out so it didn't bother me. The room is also equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave. Great for preparing your own meals. The Bad: Although this hotel is located on the busy Highway 71 Business Route, there's very little in regards to dining or shopping nearby. There's a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market about a country block (about a half-mile) south down on 71B. Not sure if was advertised or not but there isn't any kind of coffee or breakfast in the morning, either. The location is also not very central. If you don't have a vehicle for transportation, it will be difficult to get around. The Ugly: The property and rooms seems to be quite dated. They are maintained and kept up but lacking in a modern aesthetic. The ceilings were comprised of "office tile" ceiling and lighting is fluorescent. With only two usable plugs on opposite sides of the room, it made it difficult connect on your bedside. The TV was one of those big tube types. My $.02.... If you're not interested in paying for frills or lavish extras, this place is a good place to stay. It's also quite affordable. Staff was great and friendly. I highly recommend the Guest Inn to business travelers who get a "per diem" or those who are traveling on a budget. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Smells like shit in this room, the couches have cum shots. It also has a huge hole in it. I don't trust sitting or laying down on the furniture cause I feel it will give me HIV. This tops the worst place I have ever been to.
