After hearing great reviews of the place, my dad and I decided to try it. I agree with some of the other reviewers, heavy on the fusion, light on the asian. Everything was served with gourmet portions and the chef obviously spent much more time on the appearance of the food than the actual flavor. I'm not big on presentation if the food tastes great. The service was great but the food was bland. We won't be back.

The food was hit or miss, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to trying a new Asian restaurant, new for me, in the area. If you like typical Chinese take out places or P.F. Chang's, then this may be a good place to go. If you expect something a little bit more interesting and authentic, go ahead and pass this place up. Some of the dim sum was good and some was bad. None of it was great. My noodle dish was good (Chinese rice noodles with chicken) but two friends gave a thumbs down to the Pad Thai and Thai Curry, respectively. Although Americans typically expect larger portions than necessary, the small portions of mediocre fare did not satisfy anyone's appetite. Lastly, and I don't mean this offensively as we all have different personalities, but the owner was entirely too overwhelming for us. We're even chatty, Southern gals but this was just over the top. She was very pushy and a bit confusing when we tried to ask questions about the food. I'm sure her intentions are good but if you don't like in-your-face service, beware!

On Valentines Day I called in an order to Lily's. When I showed up 30 minutes later for pickup, I was told it would be just 5 more minutes. After 45 minutes of sending the attendant back and forth to the kitchen to ask how much longer, I finally got my food. When I arrived at home, the order was completely wrong. I called Lily's to complain and ask for my order to be credited back to my credit card. At this point, I was done with Lily's, telling myself I'd never eat there again. The attendant transferred me to the manager who was so apologetic. She not only acknowledged the mistake they made, but went out of her way to make it right. She took my name, asked how many apps and entrees we had ordered, and said "please find it in your heart to give us another try and your next order is on the house!" A few days later I called in my new order. The customer service was fantastic, the order accurate, the food amazing and the manager remembered my name and comp'd the order. About 2 hours later, the manger left me a voicemail following up to be sure that we were satisfied. A great experience that guarantees I will be a repeat customer at Lily's Dim Sum. I'm a fan.

Little Rock and Arkansas are known for awesome barbeque, but I wouldn't visit Little Rock without stopping at Lilly's Dim Sum. The food is prepared fresh to order and it is healthy eating. The mix of customers intrigues me from kids to seniors. I like the atmosphere and the owners are always on hand to greet customers and to make you feel welcome. The menu is diverse and there is something for everyone. I enthusiastically give Lilly's 5+ stars. Wish I was there right now!

Lilly's is about the only place we go out regularly to get restaurant fare because they cook fresh, healthy food with imagination and are sensitive to allergy diets like gluten free. The waitstaff are good and the owners who come out and talk to you are hilarious. Its a quiet friendly cafe with an artful edge to it. They support many local community charities and are very environmentally conscious. Their food is diverse and interesting. I do wish they had more "dim sum" and maybe "then some" too, but they are fantastic for a smallish city like Little Rock. The wasabi dumplings are fab. The encrusted tilapia is my fav. The coconut creme brule rocks.

Doesn't taste like real Asian food. Ordered shrimp Kung pao noodles and is drenched with sauce, noodles were so sloppy. Crab cake doesn't even taste like crab and sauce that came was mayonnaise with ketchup. The dim sum tastes like store bought ones, very very thick covers. No chili sauce, just sriracha! Not even Asian. So disappointed. Paid $47 for all the crap. Fast food Asian food tastes better.

It's unfortunate that our 2nd experience dining at Lilly's was completely different than our first! In fact, I haven't had such a negative, rude customer service experience in a long time. It all began when we had 5 people dining in, which is apparently a "group". As a few from our party were running late, they had us wait at the entrance as they don't seat partial parties. We understand some restaurants have this policy, so we were fine waiting (despite the fact that they only had a few occupied tables, and the entire B-Side section was empty.) Once all members from our party showed up, we asked to be seated. The hostess was VERY dry - she wasn't friendly, didn't smile, and overall wasn't someone that I would hire to be a hostess. With that said, she mentioned that they would need to push two tables together, but then came back and said that we would have to wait for the party to leave from the "larger" table (that sat 6). It took another 10-15 minutes until we were seated. During that time, we discussed going elsewhere, but kept thinking things may get better. Once seated, it took awhile for our waitress to check on us and take our orders. Thankfully, our waitress was friendly, but admitted that she was the only server and quite busy, so service was a little slower than normal. A friend ordered wine, and when it finally came, the glass had lipstick all over the rim. Our waitress apologized and came back with a new glass (with more wine than normal), which was appreciated. Despite the food being good, and our friendly waitress, the rest of the staff we encountered was not pleasant. Another lady brought our food to the table, and also did not smile and her demeanor was very off-putting. Overall, they just seemed very annoyed that we were there, and I really am not sure why. Was it because we all arrived separately? Was it the "group" of 5? Was it the 9 year old? I have no clue. Yet, I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.

We love Lilly's! The peanut sesame noodles and dumpling sampler platter are two of our favorites. When they offer steak wraps as a special (they should put these on as a regular item), they are a must have...delicious! The coconut shrimp is very good, although the last time we ordered it, it was overcooked. A nice wine selection and cozy, laid back atmosphere rounds out the experience.

Lilly's is one of our favorites. The Thai Coconut soup, served in the winter, beats just about anything I've ever had, and the dim sum is unique. We eat here anytime we are in Little Rock.

OK. Let's start with the Cucumber Salad. it's a salad, yes? if i wanted a weensy dish of mediocre marinated cucumbers, i would have hit up the salad bar at my local grocer. tasty? eh. moving to the spring rolls. which, needless to say, left very little to the imagination. very. VERY. little. those suckers were tiny. i know this is supposedly a dim sum joint, but the menu design and implementation suggests anything but. did i mention the spring rolls were cold, dry, and had DEFINITELY been sitting pre-made in a stock fridge all day? mmmmm! listen Lilly - if you're gonna offer spring rolls, MAKE THEM FRESH. it ain't hard. i done it - and i'm a white girl. and now let us discuss the "tamari dipping sauce" - which is less of a "dipping sauce" and more of straight up tamari in a cup. come ON Lilly. put some effort into this. that's what i'm paying for. if i wanted tamari in a cup with dry pre-made spring rolls, i would have asked my mother to bring me "something asian". you have potential. make it like you mean it.

Fresh food that will tantalize your taste buds. Price is very comparable to what you would pay for the nasty processed frozen foods u pay for in the local drive thru's.......great lunch specials with a nice variety to choose from and the staff make you feel very welcomed, especially the owner that always likes to add a personal touch to your dining experience !

We had to wait 45 minutes for our food and we were the first bunch of the lunch crowd to arrive. My curry consisted of peas, chicken, and rice. I payed $12 for a smaller lunch plate with hardly any vegetables. The spice was legit, but I didn't get my money's worth. Not impressed.

Lilly's is a great experience. Owner Nancy Tesmer creates lovely, tasty Asian fusion to accommodate any dietary need. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and comes steaming-hot from the kitchen. And if it takes a few minutes, as sometimes it does, they have a kick-ass wine list! It's small and intimate and quiet, but never stuffy. Annd be sure to sample the gomae and the dim sum dumplings. I don't get there near enough, but when I do, I leave with a happy tummy!
After hearing so much about Lilly's Dim Sum I decided I wanted to try out the place! :) My first visit I got a dumpling sample platter featuring 2 of a few of their dumplings. I must say that the experience was a bit of a let down, but not too terrible. The little cuties were a bit smaller than I expected and seemed suspiciously made from frozen. For my entree I ordered their specialty crab cake platter! Golden crispy crab on the outside, warm rich center with a special tangy sauce. On the side: white rice, lima beans, purple cabbage, cilantro, and a lime wedge. The combination was flavorful. My only complain at the time were the staff. I'm picky when it comes to cell phone etiquette. If you're on the job, make it not so obvious when you talk on the phone, or receive/sending a text. While waiting for our food my love and I were able to hear the kitchen staff's phones ringing and being answered. Just a situation that bugs the f***ing h**** out of me.

The bi-bim-bap (mixed vegetable rice) was served with soy sauce. Let me say that again, SOY SAUCE. Even my Guatemalan friends would know that there's clearly everything wrong with a bibimbap served with soy sauce. The stuff on Lily's is fusion food at best. and frankly I don't understand how Lily's won awards with this kind of food. I'm assuming the awards were based on something other than the bibimbap.

Lilly's was in Memphis at least five years ago. At the time, it was one of my absolute favourite restaurants. They were in the building which is now Celtic Crossing. Then they moved to Little Rock. We kept saying that we would have to find them and try them again in their new location. Well, we found them on Friday. I'm sorry to say, it was a bit of a disappointment. When they were on Cooper street, they had a cool location with great atmosphere. Now they're in a strip mall. The food was good, but not as exceptional as when we had it in Memphis. My favourite appetizer, cold sesame noodles, tasted a bit gummier this time. One of my remembered main courses, Korean Bibim Bop, was still good, but seemed to be watery. It didn't help that the restaurant seemed awful warm (AC not working right?), the food was very hot, and it was spicy. It made for an uncomfortable meal. Maybe we rememebered them with rose colored glasses, but I don't think so.

I'm an Asian food snob, so this might be a harsh review on an establishment in Little Rock. Positives: nice waitstaff, good ambience Negatives: the bibimbap I ordered not only did not come sizzling in a stone bowl, but also lacked the proper gochujang sauce and was SOGGY. Bibimbap is supposed to be crispy, not soggy, folks. If you're going to offer bibimbap, at least attempt to serve it in the proper way! P. S. If you're looking for dimsum, you're not going to find any here. Totally misleading name.

Aesthetic: Cute, clean, small, and dark. FOOD Starters: Miso Soup. My bf and I ordered one to share, but they made us two HUGE bowls of it instead. It was very good, not salty, but very tasty. Meal: Korean Bibim Bop with Tofu- the meal itself was large. Very tasty, the rice was cooked well and the egg was great. I'm a big lover of sunny side up egg on white rice, so it was very delicious. Minor downfall- too heavy on the sauce. BF had the Korean Bibim Bop with Grilled Steak- he loved it an had no complaints there. Waitstaff: Very nice, not talkative but not rude at all. I thought the price was a little high considering real Asian food is pretty cheap to make. I know it is Little Rock, so I guess the competition to keep the prices of food down doesn't exist. If you want some "Fusion" Asian food, this is the place to go. I don't not go here often b/c it is expensive for the food you're getting, but an occasional visit is fine. Parking is abundance.

I took my Aunt to brunch here on Sunday to try and give her a taste of how we do brunch sometimes in DC. This place is very Asian fusion, and the only "dim sum" here are potstickers. So obviously they use the term loosely in the places name. However, not matter how departed from the actual cuisine they may be, the food is good and the service was great (note, not owned or staffed by Asians). We had the following: Chinese Spring Rolls---the first one was crispy, but the second one wasn't because the hot mustard they were slathered in deflated them. Vietmanese Summer Roll--nice and fresh Chinese Pork Potstickers--I have had better out of a box. Cold Sesame Noodles---BEST DISH I HAVE HAD HERE Korean BimBimap---While it had the elements, it wasn't the dish at all. You may say, wow--you weren't extremely adventurous in your ordering--well the menu was very Americanized.....Considering this is in Arkansas it is good for what it is. However, since I live about 10 minutes from Annadale VA I can't say I was impressed. Also, what is the "Then Some" because--that could have made my meal alot better.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out after hearing good things from my friends. I ordered chicken pad Thai. It tasted like noodles in peanut butter. I was greatly disappointed. As far as the dim some, I had more expectations also. There were only a few things you could order. I didn't know it was an Asian fusion. I would have just eaten at p.f. Changs. If u like Americanized Asian food, I guess it's a good place. I haven't been back.

After reading glowing newspaper reviews for Lilly's, my family drove to Little Rock to see for ourselves. Major disappointment. The servers were about the only good thing about this place. The food, as the reviewer below me writes, advertises itself as Asian fusion, but is heavy on the fusion and not the Asian. Our Dumpling Platter for Two had eight *tiny* dumplings, and the shrimp and pork ones were indistinguishable from each other. Our bowls of Spicy Asian Gazpacho were more like runny salsa. We also ordered a Hong Kong Tofu Bowl. There were maybe four *tiny* pieces of tofu and three bean sprouts on top of a bed of peanut-drenched noodles. The peanut sauce was tasty, but not better than I've had from a Lean Cuisine box. I really wanted to like this restaurant, as Arkansas needs more good Asian places.

LOVE this place - definitely the best thai food in Little Rock. The chicken pad thai was to die for, with just the right amount of spice. They even had a delicious Malbec for a very low price per glass - I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious, non-pretentious Asian dinner.

Much as I try to make allowances for this place, I simply cannot recommend it. First of all, the place is really small, and somewhat cramped. We were seated in a narrow hallway that led to the bathroom, which was already weird. Further, the decor was really weird and entirely unappealing for someone trying to eat. Biggest problem for me was price-to-food ratio. For $10, you get four pieces of siomai, and four pieces of gyoza. This would be fine if they were particularly good, but aside from the wasabi siomai, they all tasted about the same, regardless if they were pork, veggie, or shrimp. This is probably due to the fact that they were all swimming in the same overpowering sauce on their shared plate. Go to Chi's down the street, and get four siomai for like $3, and the taste will be about the same, if not better. $11 gets you two crab cakes, and these gave you very little distinct flavor and a mite too much breading. Not terrible, but again, not very memorable. For dessert, we got the wontons with ice cream. Ice cream was kind of boring, as it was just three scoops of standard flavors with two fried wontons on either side, covered with sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate and caramel sauce. Wontons came out burned and the whole thing was kind of a confused mess. Not terrible, but certainly not worth the price. Finally, a bright spot would be the soup. We ordered the Thai style soup with coconut milk, and it was really quite good. It had a very light and unique flavor that was worth the $6 for the somewhat small bowl that was offered. Our server seemed really rushed and was somewhat inattentive. I felt like he was trying to check the boxes of serving a table with as little time as possible. Polite enough, but I felt like second-class guests, as if he thought the other tables were more important than us. Since we were seated in the back near the restrooms, I couldn't tell how much attention the other tables were getting, but the other server who helped a different table in our narrow hallway was much more friendly to his guests. All in all, we left hungry. This might be why they decided to line the walls with pictures of starving people from third world countries, so perhaps to make you feel less bad about having spent so much on so little food. All their good classy artwork was unaccountably in the bathroom, out of the view of most of the clientele. After we left, we made quick stop to Burger King for $1 Single Stackers with Onion and bacon for no extra charge, just to try to get some bang for our buck. Finally, there's nothing wrong with Asian Fusion with a modern twist, and I feel it really shouldn't be judged to be "inauthentic". It isn't meant to be authentic. However, if you're going to be creative, at least make it good. Lilly's has a winner with its soup, but really nothing else was sufficiently enticing. I'd consider going back here perhaps on a less busy day, or their prices drop so I don't feel as swindled. I wish they'd update their website menu, as well.

Dinner was worth the 25 minute wait. We started the meal off with the wasabi dim sum dumplings and they had just the right amount of heat and the flavor was delicate and the dumplings were bite sized and just right to start the meal. I ordered the panko crusted talapia and it was perfect. The fish was cooked to perfection, it was flaky but had an almost creamy flesh, the panko breading was light and stayed on the fish when i cut into it. It was served with white rice and stir fried veggies and if you want overcooked greasy veggies DON'T ORDER here. The Veggies were crisp and tasty and not greasy or oily. My Husband had the special, Gen. Tso shrimp and it looked beautiful, the shrimp was plump and perfectly cooked, the broccoli was green and crisp and the Gen Tso sauce smelled delicious and it was lightly sauced and perfectly cooked. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and could describe the menu selections and was able to make suggestions. For dessert we chose the Moochi balls. These fried little balls are just a little bite of heave. They come 4 to an order. Red bean past rolled with rice flour fried and covered with sesame seeds drizzled lightly with a Carmel sauce. They smell like fresh zeppolis from the Jersey shore, and the taste is delicate, not too sweet and a perfect ending to a perfect evening. If you find yourself trying to decide where to go for dinner, go to Lily's Dimsum, perfect for a date, or dinner with friends or a family dinner. We can't wait to go back.

Wow. Things NOT on the printed menu: award winning coconut shrimp soup. "it's our winter soup". "But we have spicy gazpacho type soup instead" Brown rice. "it will be 30 minutes for brown rice or you can have jasmin rice instead." Thai iced coffee. "we quit serving it a long time ago. It wasn't very popular." Me: "can you do the spicy curry not quite so spicy?" waiter: "all our sauces are pre mixed." To be clear - my only real complaint is that the owners haven't printed current menus. The sample of "gazpacho" we had was quite good! Staff was great. We didn't like the particular entrée we had. Prices are reasonable. We will go back to try again.

A small, classy dim sum restaurant.

Just a situation that bugs the f***ing h**** out of me.

i feel like i need to say this. the dishes them clamed to be vietnamese food aren't vietnamese food. that's all. :)

Although it is a great idea to have various Asian countries mixed into one restaurant it would be great if the flavors were present, everything was BORING and American.

I wish they'd update their website menu, as well.

if you put dim sum in your name then you probably ought to serve it. pretty weak execution all around. service was prompt but somewhat smothering.

My Husband and I ate there two nights ago and it was very good. I got a grilled chicken on noodles dish that was fantastic and my Husband got the panko breaded tilapia and it was also very good. The service was great too.
