Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Went to dinner with a friend and we decided to sit outside. To my pleasant surprise there were heat lights that kept it from being cold. The waiter could have been more friendly but the food made up for it. The tilapia was good but I could not get enough of the bread. I told the waiter to keep the bread baskets coming. Will definitely go back.

For a chain, this is as good as it gets. The food us consistently great and the drinks are well made. Definitely sit outside of weather permits! Call ahead on a weekend, the place gets busy!

I was pleasantly surprised. It's hard to find a great restaurant especially coming from eateries in LA/OC/Las Vegas. I love the ambiance of this place. My favorite is the lobster bisque, bruschetta, and fried shrimp appetizer. =) Do try it!

I loved this place! In fact, my friends and I have a blog that is dedicated to writing restaurant reviews in Little Rock, AR. We added our review of Bravo to our blog today! Read our full review at: theyumyumsisterhood.word…

Just plain excellent! From the food to the decor. This place is great. Very nice patio and the best presentation of spaghetti and meatballs I've ever seen, haha. You'll never want to go to the other Italian chains again. They also have a nice happy hour.

I went there for the first time Friday, September 4, 2015. I joined a large party for a birthday dinner. When I entered, two young ladies looked at me unblinking until I spoke first asking about joining a large birthday party. Their response? "you can look around if you want " When we found and joined our party it was 6:30pm; the restaurant was barely 1/4 full, yet the wait staff acted as harried and harassed as if it were full to capacity. Our server was late getting to us, late getting our food order and our drinks were late getting to us. We ordered a second cocktail and wine which didn't come until the meal was over. No dessert was offered, but our checks were handed to us as if to say "uh, get out " The wait staff were rude, never smiled, and acted put out when we asked for anything. The food was delicious. The house salad was chopped small and it had fresh greens, real bacon and flavorful tomatoes. The egg plant parmesan was excellent and arrived hot by a different server. There are so many restaurants to choose from in Little Rock, so many with excellent food and excellent Italian food, that I will never go to this place again because the service was THAT BAD. I complained to the asst. Manager and she responded to my complaint appropriately; however, during my conversation with the manager, one of our rude servers charged our table and interrupted my conversation with the asst. Manager and challenged me in the loudest, rudest manner possible. Her tip was small and appropriate to our experience and I hope this young person learns something from this, but my feelings are she will not. I will not return to find out

It was our first time here and when we walked in the hostess were very nice. The ambiance is cute and I thought it would be a great restaurant for kids. They had paper lining for the table over the white table cloth so kids cool doodle.. well at least mine did. Our waitress, Hannah was really nice. The menu looked good, a bit pricey for the quality of the food. We ordered: Calamari: Big portion - OK Kids Lasagna: Disgusting - my son didn't even want to eat any of it! Chicken tenders, fries, and fruit: Loved the fruit as it was pineapple, strawberry, and blueberries. Pasta Woozie: I did feel a bit woozie from the pasta that was drenched in sauce (I asked them to go light on the sauce and didn't want to bother my waitress when it came out) Spaghetti with 3 huge meatballs: Mediocre and the meatballs.. umm idk. I'd rather have 3 delicious small size meatballs than not so good huge ones. Not sure I'll be back - Sorry, although service was fine so Hannah gets the extra star!

Went to the bar around 3 ish and service fell short. My food was not hot and super salty. I also ordered soup that seemed to the last bit of the batch or was horrible and cold. Usually this place is amazing but yesterday 10/26 was a big disappointment,

Wow...we were blown away last night. My friend and I are passing through Little Rock and found Bravo. Based on the Yelp reviews we decided to stop in. We are so glad we did! It was happy hour so we sat at the bar. We both ordered the blackberry Cosmo at 5.00 each and ordered some happy hour apps to share. We ordered the chicken bacon spinach flatbread, Crispy Shrimp Napoli & burger. Our server Michael was amazing. Best service I can remember ever having...he just blew us away. He brought our drinks and timed bring out the apps so we could truly enjoy them one by one. His timing was perfect...also with our 2nd round of drinks. Very attentive but not overly. The drinks were perfect and the Flatbread and shrimp were off the charts good. I will be dreaming about that shrimp and counting the days until I can have it again! I googled and found out there is one in Fort Worth! Very excited to check it out and get my shrimp fix. Wish Michael was in Fort Worth too! Go here during Happy Hour if you can and ask for Michael!

Yum! I had the lobster bisque (which was the most flavorful I have ever had! And only 5$?!) And a grilled shrimp ceaser salad! It was a really nice and filling lunch, the atmosphere is beautiful but a bit sterile feeling, but I'm sure it wouldn't feel that way in a busier dinner service. Excellent service and delicious food.

Food wasn't good. Service wasn't good. We sat for 15 mins before we got water. Our server used his pen to point at us after we had to repeat our order. He just tossed the straws on the table. I've had better service at Cracker Barrel, not joking. The pizza was gross, the food is expensive and we won't be back. Disappointing, slow, boring, tasteless. No thanks, I'll pick any other restaurant in the promenade next time.

Delicious. Came in for late lunch on Saturday. The food was very tasty and presentable. We had the spagettii and meatballs --- great portion and very tasty. The mahi mahi -- this was deliciously refreshing, highly recommend and light meal for those who are watching their weight ;) We definitely plan on coming back to try other entrees. 4 stars bc they can use some help with customer service. I dont think that the staff was very inviting and kind of stand-offish, not really paying too much attention to their patrons. Service with a smile was lacking here. Otherwise ambiance and food was very good. Just don't mind the service.
(4)Jo D.
Our server was very nice and knowledgable about the menu. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari as an appetizer, then the pepperoni pizza and lasagna. Everything was great!! Pizza is very thin, but that's what we like. Would visit again!
(4)C S.
Came here for my birthday and it was great! I had the shrimp fra diavolo and my husband had the veal Parmesan and both were delicious. I had the white peach sangria which was also very good. Service was great as well!

This isn't my first time coming here but after my service or lack of i was compelled to write one. Normally it's a nice place but this time it started off wrong by the host making us seat ourselves we told her we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the weather and she asked if we knew how to get outside and we both replied thru the doors so she followed us outside and sat us without saying who our server was or anything. Once he finally did show he wasn't friendly and threw our drinks and straws on the table not even within arms reach. He only came back twice to check on us which caused us to leave sooner than we had planned so who ever reads this if steven is ur server beware or ask to be seated in someone's else section.

Thanks to Yelp for recommendation. We loved this place. 6 of us went to this place for dinner. We had to wait about half an hour to get a table but it was worth it. We got a private room right by the entrance. The waitress was super friendly and with an awesome personality. We all felt really comfortable talking with her. Food was really good. We started with appetizer. The bread and the EVOO dip was out of this world. 6 of us ordered 6 different items from the menu. We ended our meal with desert recommended by our waitress and we all loved it. Over all we are glad that we picked this place for dinner tonight. I would go back to this place if I visit Little Rock in future.

Great service and good food. I liked calamari my chicken Marsala was good and my husband loved his pasta. Will come back!
(4)Leland R.
We were looking for a nice italian restaurant mid range on price. We found this place and the food was awsome. We had the Mahi Mahi, Lobster ravioli, Chicken Marsala, Eaggplant Parm, and the Pork Chop. Everything was cooked to perfection. After dinner we tried every desert the bread pudding could have been warmer but the chocolate ganach cake was the best. Service was good and we would come back for sure. I have worked in the restaurant industry and am hard to please. So bravo!!!!!!

Initially, my husband and I were going to eat at another restaurant around the corner. However, the wait was 2 hours and we did not have that kind of time. Luckily, BRAVO! was able to set our party of 6 right away. Not sure why they had no wait time, but we were starving and it was available. Walking in, however, the restaurant is HUGE and was mostly full. The decor was elegant, and what I could tell, very clean. The have an open-air kitchen, which always makes me smile because that means it is cleaned and polished on a nightly basis since it is in full view of customers. No secrets allowed! We had a very attentive and pleasant server. He filled our glasses in a timely manner and checked on us often. Definitely makes a difference in the whole experience. Delicious, warm bread was served with a very flavorful olive oil. I could have sat there an ate the entire serving. My entree was the Balsamic Glazed Chicken with asparagus and spinach atop a side of orzo and farro pilaf. First of all, the portion was very good - too good - as I could not eat all of it. Secondly, the pilaf was amazing. Loved all the flavors in it, mixed with the veggies, balsamic, feta and olive. This truly was a great dish. My husband got the special of the night - mahi mahi wrapped in pancetta. He said it was very good, cooked well. I believe everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Every one left satisfied with no room for dessert. I was unaware BRAVO! is a chain restaurant. I am not from Little Rock, and where I am from, we do not have one. So now that I know this, I can compare it to what we do have, which is Olive Garden. I'd say BRAVO! is definitely more of an elegant, slightly more upscale, restaurant with a great menu and very tasty. I'd go back for sure.

We have loved Bravo since they opened! The Pasta Bravo is probably my favorite, but I've never had anything bad here. You must also get the strawberry basil lemonade. It's awesome on a hot summer day!
(5)Elroy W.
Never had a bad meal here! Lobster bisque is great, spicy scallops great, lobster ravioli great, salad great, staff great!!!
(4)Chance E.
Great service. Fast. I had salmon and the wife had chicken Marsala. Both entrees were wonderful. We will return in the future.
(5)Julie G.
Greatly disappointed by the quality of food and professionalism of the kitchen staff. We arrived at 6:15, served at 7:45. One person in our party never received their order, spoke with the manager on duty only to be told, "it will be out in a minute". Everyone else had finished. Our waiter was fabulous, apologized profusely, and brought complimentary desserts.

Best Italian in Little Rock. I ordered the Chicken Scaloppini and was blown away. We will definitely be back again.
(5)Rob M.
Noisy, boisterous, possessed of a large menu, and a wait staff willing to modify it (and with good suggestions, too!). Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. Yes, a chain, but don't hold it against them -- these guys know their stuff.

So my g/f took me here for some drinks and appys upon my arrival. At first our service was a bit slow (had to deduct a star). My g/f wanted to have her party catered and the manager came over to discuss options. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. It was then when the service picked up. Everyone was super helpful and friendly thereafter. My g/f mentioned that I was a "food blogger" and I'm not sure if that contributed to better service... Anywho... We ordered the following: Calamari: It was good, but wasn't crispy enough for me. I like my calamari with crunch! Crispy Shrimp: This is my fav out of all the appys we had. I would have preferred a bit more batter, but I love my shrimp. Ravioli: Too filling. Came with about 4-5 large pieces and filled with cheese. Too rich for me. Spinach Dip: This was OK to me. My least fav. 2 Cabs: My g/f ordered and she loved it. 2 Muscato D'Astis: I ordered 2 and ended up purchasing a bottle at a nearby wine store to take back home with me. 2 Lemon Drops: We finished our happy hours with a nightcap for the road. It was delish! Personally, I'm not real big in eating out at Italian restaurants; however, this place does have potential in this newer shopping center. This is a great date spot or a place to unwind for happy hour. Apparently, this is a happening place as the outdoor patio got a bit busy for dinner on a weeknight. Total damage with grat = $120.

i didnt know this place was a chain.. but the food here is OKAY.. everything here was mediocre but pretty fairly priced. I really didn't like the fact that they used a glass to hold warm water.. The one thing that made this place especially mediocre was how the salads were DRENCHED in dressing and cheese... i had to pick apart the salad in order to not drink the sauce. Their appetizer shrimp was delicious, calamari mediocre, and pizza mediocre Probably will be ordering something beyond a salad in the future.
(3)Bradley B.
Love this place. They tend to pack out pretty, so always call ahead if you plan on going on a weekend at night. Go. Look at the menu. See something that sounds good? Most likely is. I haven't had anything there I didn't enjoy.
(5)Nathan P.
The atmosphere is kind of pretty, and the food is decent, but the prices are REALLY high for what you get. Someone treated me there for my birthday, and while I ordered the lowest priced item on the menu since I ate a heavy lunch (a salad), I didn't be a whole lot for the price. If you like Italian food, the atmosphere is nice, but be prepared to spend a lot of money on smaller portions of food. For the money, I'd rather have something more like LongHorn's.
(3)Myia B.
Came here with my MIL/SIL...MIL loves the place - she likes good service. I ordered the lasagna and a salad. It was good. The salad was tastier than the lasagna. SIL ordered a flatbread. The portions were a little on the small side. Would I come back? I would give it one more whirl.
(2)Matt P.
Bravo has a nice atmosphere and generally provides a solid, if somewhat generic, experience. Some of the food is good, some just mediocre. It's a good place for a large group. Happy hour on the patio is probably the best way to go.

Before coming into the restaurant, i was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to coming here! I am extremely disappointed that the food wasn't as good as I expected. 1. my food came out COLD. I didn't ask them to do anything about it, but i did let the server know. He did offer to do something about it, but I didn't think it was worth the hassle. The food would have been great, if it was hot! 2. The calamari appetizer was really good. 3. I'm not a big fan of the set up of the restaurant. I don't like low dividers/chairs. Everything was too open and I like higher boothes/chairs. Everyone could watch everyone eating and I'm not a big fan of that. 4. I thought it was really cool that they have a server who knows sign language and she was signing with a couple who were deaf. I LOVE that, it makes me happy. I think I am willing to try this place again, maybe in a few months.
(2)Tam V.
The sister chain for Brio's, the disastrously overpriced/bland Italian chain. This place is almost the same when it comes to price but I will still go here, just because this location seemed to make it actually delicious and also the fact that people in Little Rock don't look at this as a chain as Olive Garden. I wouldn't really recommend the pasta here but definitely go for the steaks (order a cooking grade down from what you want here) or the fish. If you are just dying for pasta based course, go for the lobster ravioli.
(3)T. C.
Our meet up group did a farewell brunch for one of our members here. It was decent enough. I loved the overall look and decor, but as another reviewer said it is really open and people can get all in your conversations...no Bueno. The eggs were horrible they tasted watered down and fake, for that price another no Bueno. Other than that everyone was pretty satisfied with our meals. I wouldn't make this a regular stop on my foodie list.

the Bravo's here in Little Rock is perfect..I have been to others, but they weren't as good as here..I really enjoyed the happy hour..the food is amazing..

Went here for brunch on Sunday (2/10/2013) and was not very impressed. Pasta was mediocre at best. The service was good, as my waitress was attentive. The interior is typical of a Italian restaurant chain. There are much better chains options available (e.g., Olive Garden). The lunch specials during the week might be worth it but I would avoid BRAVO! for dinner. Ironically, this probably one of the better Italian restaurants in Little Rock. I would not recommend taking a date unless you did not a second date! My take on Italian food is slightly biased as I grew up in New Jersey near NYC with a high density of Italian restaurants.

So, technically today is Bravo's grand opening. However, my family and I had the honor of enjoying a free meal - appetizer, side dishes, entrees, and dessert- during Bravo's trial run/preview night. We were very impressed. First of all, let me just say that the staff was very attentive and friendly. They were a tad nervous at times, but working hard to follow procedure and give great service. Our glasses were never empty, and we had all the bread we could eat. The restaurant is in the Promenade at Chenal shopping center, and is beautiful. A large facility, well modeled and decorated. The outside seating looked comfy and inviting, and has a huge fireplace to crowd around during winter. On to the food- classic Italian with a twist. The rustica insalada salad is awesome- lettuce, bacon, pears, pecans, cranberries, and balsamic vinegarette. So good! My husband had the Italian wedding soup, which he enjoyed. The bread was light, fluffy, and tasty. I had a cheese ravioli dish with alfredo, tomato, and pesto sauces. My Mother-in-Law had lasagna- a giant portion, also with alfredo and tomato sauces. My husband had a pesto tortellini dish with jalapeños. And my Father-in-Law had a steak dish. All were excellent! And something different than the norm. If I have any negatives, it would be the dessert. Not bad, just alright. We had the option of choosing NY style cheesecake, chocolate chip bread pudding, or a 3 dessert plate- chocolate cake and ice cream, tiramisu, and a berry cake of sorts. No contest for us- we picked the 3. The chocolate cake was great, the others were alright. Yet, once again, I have no real complaints. We had an excellent experience! Be sure to try it out. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Todd B.
I generally do not like chain restaurants but Bravo! bucks the trend with very flavorful food (and it is consistent.) I really enjoy the braised beef ravioli and the lobster bisque. The flatbreads are a bit dry sometimes but the cheesecake dessert makes up for it if you have an appetite left after finishing the large entrees. I have been half a dozen times and they have always delivered. Unlike other "Italian" chains, Bravo! actually does it right.

after coming here several more times after my initial review, i thought i should update it. everything i have had is very fresh and very good. my original review what that you are better off at macaroni grill, but i no longer believe that. i think i now prefer bravo! my wife does, so i guess that means i do too.

Service poor "C". Food "B" So I had my birthday dinner with friends there this last Saturday. After making a reservation 2 weeks before but then changing it a few days before to add more people to my guest list. And a call from them to confirm. We got to the restaurant on time for a 7:30 reservation everyone was there and they didn't have over table set. We waited an additional 30 minutes oooo also they called to confirm the day of the dinner. We all stood there for 30 then to be seated in the middle of the entrance. Our 1 of 2 servers were okay. But after mixing up my friends drinks and my drink. Waiting another 10 minutes to get one set of drinks, we placed our order and never guessed one side of the table had there meal and the other waited an 20minturs for these. So what was the reason for two servers and a reservation if you are going to mixed up the orders. Ooo did I tell you that also. Our 2 servers where no way close when the food came out to make sure we all were set. After dinner waiting for the mixed up bills. Was another 20 minutes of waiting. Lol the server could Not figure out the bills were messed up. Bad bad. Ooo and also being my birthday I didn't get even a birthday song just free desert DROPPED off at my table. But out of the 2 servers we had one was better ( blond low cut guy). To say this place was okay and was really not impressed on what I have been told. The 30min wait for a reservation. . Okay service and mix up of checks . Long wait for food and half serve food on the table and drinks. This place is a " C" on service and a "B" on food.
(2)John B.
One of the better Italian restaurants in Little Rock. The food is always delicious, the portion sizes are generous, the menu is well thought out, and the staff has always been pleasant and attentive. My wife and I both recommend the shrimp appetizer. We also recommend the lemon drop martinis. Definitely check this place out.
(4)Dana W.
The bread is kind of addicting and the over bearing waiters have calmed down since the initial opening. I have not had a bad meal here. There is a salad I love but don't remember the name. It has crispy noodles and a thin covering of creamy dressing.
