This place deserves 5 stars. For a hole in the wall Thai restaurant near Little Rock, AR, this restaurant by far serves the most authentic thai food outside of Thailand. I have been to Thailand over 7 times visiting my cousins, as well as for tourism. The herbs used (lemongrass, basil, chill, curry) were outstanding. I ordered the Chicken Red Curry and Minced Chicken with basil. Now that I think back, we ordered too much Chicken that day... LOL.

If you want good Thai food, make the trip to Jacksonville. This is authentic Thai food. Order off the menu. Don't get the buffet if you want the good stuff. And don't be dense: papaya salad is som tom. They have it. The pad Thai is so good, the vegetable curry is great. Egg rolls, spring rolls, som tom. There are places in little rock but they don't compare.

I went to Thai Taste in December 2014 on a Tuesday night and ordered to go. I knew this place was authentic because the owners spoke Thai and the specials posted on the wall was written in Thai and the decorations were very Thai-esque. I was super excited to have found a Thai restaurant somewhat close to Searcy (where I live). I ordered a Pad See Eww for approximately nine dollars--a FULL size portion, which is impossible to find in Dallas! The taste was pretty good for it being $9 and I was very full afterwards. They did NOT skimp on the chicken!!! There was definitely a lot of chicken, but it was a bit on the drier side. Although it did take a while for my order to come out, I didn't mind because I was just watching tv while I was waiting. While I was there, there was a toddler crying, I believe he was related to the owner somehow, which may be disturbing to the patrons in the restaurant. You can call the restaurant to place a to go order and pick it up, which is great for people on the go!

Yum! Their chicken on a stick, egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken were sooooo good. If we have time, I definitely want to try their buffet. Oh and the family is very welcoming and personable!!!

We ordered off the menu. The fresh spring rolls were indeed fresh and delicious. My husband got green curry and hot & sour soup. I got phad Thai. Mine had some hints of Chinese flavors, but was very good. My husband said the curry & soup was excellent. 4 stars goes to the food. The fifth star is courtesy of the friendly staff. We will go back!

Probably the best thai restaurant in the Little Rock area. I've tried a few others since moving here from California and was pretty disappointed until I found this place. It's a good sign when the chef in the back appears to be an elderly Thai woman! I will definitely go back when i'm in the mood.

Visiting from CA so of course I had high expectations. The chicken curry was great. Flavorful, spicy, and contained all the right veggies (bamboo shoot, basil, red bell pepper). Could have maybe used carrots and potatoes but it was delicious nonetheless! We ordered a side of fried rice which was so so. The beef soup was awesome. Very similar to Vietnamese pho soup if you're familiar, but with thicker rice noodles and a heartier beef stock. I added Sriracha of course :)

Very pleased!! Atmosphere bland but quality of food makes up for it. Buffet looks terrible. I ordered chicken curry and chose level 7 on the spice level. Loved it. 15 yr old daughter had pork curry with level 5 and it was to hot for her. Very friendly family owned authentic restaurant.

Disgusting! I would not eat here again if I were homeless and was offered a free meal.

I've been a Thai food junkie for decades and I've eaten at a lot of places, but this was by far the most disappointing. I should have suspected when I saw the bad reviews of the buffet that it might not be very good but I figured I'd take a chance and order from the menu. But the menu didn't include most of the dishes I'd expect to see. No duck. No papaya salad. No drunk noodles. So I ordered Thai curry with tofu - What came out was a giant bowl of coconut milk mixed with bamboo shoots, RAW tofu ( not even firm) and only a couple shreds of tough basil. There was no green or red curry, and what little hint of flavor I detected came from the large chunks of ginger - which overwhelmed the dish with too much sweetness. My friend ordered chicken curry but wasn't able to eat much of it because it was too sweet. Now, I realize that other dishes on the menu may be much better, but I doubt I'll go back to sample any of them.

The service was great when I ate here and the food was average. The egg rolls were good. I probably wouldn't go back here for their pad thai, not bad but not good. I agree with other reviewers who said it tasted more Chinese like than Thai like.

I would consider this to be the preferred Asian Buffet in Jacksonville. I first came here 20 years ago, and it was just good back then. They have Spicy Thai Beef Salad at the buffet, which I love.... Sure, the chicken wings aren't exactly Thai food, but they are fresh and yummy!

We ventured over here by way of recommendation--evidently by someone that has never had good Thai. The food looked and tasted more like Chinese with the single exception being the tea.

Overall experience was okay. The buffet was our choice when we ate there. The appearance seemed somewhat dated and not exactly what I had thought the place might look like before entering the restaurant. The food tasted good, nothing to go back for in terms of mind blowing taste. The prices were minimal for what we ate. However all the personal signs the staff and or management had posted every in the restaurant was bit tacky. NO this and NO that...yadda yadda yadda. Worth trying once if you are up for something different.

Wonderful. Truly authentic thai food. Recommend ordering off the menu to truly experience thai food. Haven't ate good thai food in a while. Love it and will go back again.

Although they have a buffet here, I ordered off the menu. The Pad Thai with shrimp was great. Pretty quick service too.

I love the tom yum goong from here. I like to pour the soup over rice and eat that as a meal. The kaffir lime, lemongrass, and galangal floating in this dish means it was made the right way and not from a paste. The pad thai is also good albeit on the oily side. You can't really get this dish wrong though because it can be found at all Thai restaurants. The papaya salad is tasty as well, but I have to warn you that it is an acquired taste. If you've never had thai food before, I wouldn't recommend that as your first dish. I've been to this restaurant many times, and I've always had excellent service. The owners and waiters seem to remember all customers who walk through the door. As many times I've been here, I've never tried the buffet since it looks like typical Americanized Chinese food. I recommend ordering from the menu rather than eating from the buffet. Save the buffet for the other 30895 Chinese buffet places we have in the greater Central Arkansas area. Oh yeah, do try the pot stickers/gyoza. They're only $1.50 for six, which is a steal.

Thai Taste is our families favorite restaurant hands down. We don't go there for fancy dining. We don't take people there to impress them with the decor. We go there to eat good food and let the worries of the world slip away. We traditionally are greeted at the front door by Jimmy who has a big smile on his face. If not Jimmy then one of the other pleasant people who work there. The food is first rate and I have not found anything on the menu I didn't like to eat. My wife and son have some reservations about the menu, but both have their favorites. I love to order the chicken panang. The dish is spiced to order. I like it hot. It always puts a smile on my face. I also order the fresh spring rolls. Rice paper wrapped around bean sprouts, cilantro, shrimp and lettuce. It comes with a dipping sauce I could drink. The owners give you the sense of being in their home and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Jimmy will ask about my wife if she isn't with me, and while my son was deployed, Jimmy would never fail to ask about him. (And my son would email home often about the hot and sour soup!)

I love this place. The buffet smells delicious but I always order from the menu. It is a nice family owned business. Very enjoyable! I'm not from Arkansas but I have to come here everytime I visit. We are not in Thailand, there is going to be an Arkansas influence!!

We only get take-out but, the food is consistently good. Have been a loyal customer for over 6 years. In that time, we have never had anything we didn't thoroughly enjoy. Their buffet is not like most but, is also, swell. The atmosphere is very casual and off-putting to some. Overlooking that will surely have you coming back again and again.

This is far from your typical Thai restaurant. The pad thai (stir fry noodles) was way too sweet. I believe they left off the most important ingredient which is tamarind sauce/paste. It's suppose to be sweet & sour! They also have lunch buffet which is like the typical Chinese buffet so if u want Thai food, order from the menu. I'd recommend eating in Little Rock at other Thai places rather than suffer and be unsatisfied. I'm part Thai so I know what most authentic dishes are supposed to taste like. I'm raised in the U.S. and this restaurant is not good at all even to the Americanized tongue. Save yourself time & money, don't bother to try this place. :-(

Buffet gets 2 stars. Menu gets 4. Don't be tempted by the trough... I know it's all you can eat, but you would be better served ordering Thai Beef Noodle Soup! ...or some other authentic dish. The buffet is Americaized to a fault.

Good Thai food for Arkansas...I guess? This place basically was just another run of the mill, low quality Chinese restaurant with yellow curry and pad thai on their menu. Though Thai owned, the quality of food and assortment of flavors obviously tailored to the Arkansas pallet rather than sticking to their own. It wasn't gross. Just wasn't very good. My friend had the garlic chicken, resembling ground chicken soaked in a greasy sauce. She wasn't happy with it, but ate it anyway. My pad see yew was too sweet and floated around in a watery sauce. I wasn't happy, either. I ate about half and didn't bother to box up the rest. Even the rice was obviously old and way too dry....who the heck messes up white rice??? Gah! If there were any upsides, the service was good and the owner was very sweet and tended to our needs well. The Thai iced tea was alright, though used a little too much condensed milk. For Arkansas, Thai Taste would be an ok (if that) substitute for Thai food. I don't know...at this point, I give up as far as satisfying any of my cravings for anything Chinese, Vietnamese, or Thai around here. I think I'll just have to wait to get something decent while on my travels. Well...either that, or ummm...eat at PF Chang's. That was a joke.

The Thai food is good. Avoid the buffet, it is americanized Chinese food. Ask for reccomendations, the staff are very helpful. Again not the best atmosphere, but worth checking out. It is the best Thai in the Little Rock metro area.

I actually love this place and have been going regularly for years. It is a fixture in the Jacksonville community. The lunch buffet is not to be missed. The service is great and the owners are very friendly. I recommend anyone go there for a quick and tasty lunch.
