Great breakfast, Big portions. The gravy was a tad salty but good flavor. The service was very good even though it was the 4th of July and they were slammed.

Love the location on my end of town now across from Oaklawn Race Track. The best home cooking in Hot Spring, Arkansas for sure. Fresh food a laid back old school feeling all the way around. Phil's is the Best.

Best food so far in hot springs. Service was great too. Try the hamburger steak it was awesome! Really wasn't expecting much when we stopped but we all ate more than we should have and had plenty leftover. Great place to go have a good country family meal.

Not impressed. The waitress was initially unattentive and unfriendly and then tried to make up for her mistake when she left something off our order. The bacon was over done and the biscuits were slightly burned. The sausage gravy was good. My son's fried eggs that he ordered over medium came out hard.

I personally prefer Gregg's Rise and Dine as a good local breakfast place, but Gregg's is closed on Independence Day. Phil's has good food and the prices are reasonable. My only negative is the wait staff is quite unfriendly. The service itself is adequate, just very unfriendly.

What a great place in Hot Springs. Exceptional (I don't use this word too often) service by the co-owner. Quite possibly the best we have ever had. Nice quaint converted house. Lunch special - very large portions for a very reasonable price, good quality (not great quality). With the limited selections in Hot Springs, service, value, and good food - well worth a return visit.
