Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

Just a small bite before I fly out of town. No complaints about the food. It is conveniently located within walking distance of my hotel. I had the Yucatan Chipotle Chicken salad and enjoyed the spicy dressing drizzled on the meal. The service was lacking but this was due to the restaurant being understaffed. My waitress was also tending bar. She had to prepare the alcoholic and regular beverages, take orders, and bus the tables; she had 4 tables for which she had to serve. Each time something was needed, she had to walk pretty far to get back behind the bar to refill a water or get extra napkins. She was great and kept a smile on her face. Poor girl got run ragged and this was at the beginning of early lunch! All in all, the food was like every Friday's I've been to and that's a good thing.

It's a TGI Friday's, so you know what to expect. The food is standard for a chain restaurant, though as a keto eater, I'm really happy they moved the tomato mozzarella salad to the standard sides menu, and their ginger lime slaw is fantastic. So hard to find low carb sides when you eat out. Also, their evening weekday bartender is one of the best in town, so if you're around in the evening and want a drink, go for it. The one negative about this Friday's in particular: they feature live music and karaoke and, frankly, aren't equipped for it. It really kills the atmosphere if you're not there to see whom ever they have playing or sing karaoke. If they could move that to the patio, it'd be better.

Mom and I went here on Thursday night to watch game 7 of the NBA finals since I didn't have cable hooked up yet. Was surprised by how busy it was on a Thursday night! Our server was great, can't remember her name but I think it was Amanda. She was really friendly and had a great personality. We started off with a couple drinks, electric lemonade for my mom which she loved and a blackberry long island for me, which I didn't care for too much because it had too much blackberries in it, but was still tasty. We got the 3 course combo deal and the spinach dip was amazing! I loved it. Mom got the bruschetta chicken, also great. I got the shrimp and fries, so it was good too but you cant really mess that up too much. Had another round of drinks and had to take the dessert and half our meals togo which made a great meal the next day. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the kareoke on Thursday nights. Even if I wasn't trying to watch the last game of the NBA season, I wouldn't want to listen to a bunch of people butcher country songs or even worse KILL pop songs while trying to enjoy my meal and company. But maybe this is why it was so busy on a Thursday night....

I have been to this location many, many times. I have consistently had good service. If there was anything ever wrong with my order, it was fixed immediately. I've never had to wait very long for service and the new outdoor patio is a nice touch. I use coupons frequently and have never felt I was treated any differently by the wait staff. The menu changes frequently which can be good and bad. I've had two favorite menu items removed but that's not this locations fault. The atmosphere is nice and the music is never too loud (unless you go on karaoke night which I try to avoid.) College age staff with minimal turnover, it seems.

Worst Turkey Burger Ever. Sapped of all moisture and taste. Go to the grocery store in buy some ground meat then put it on the grill. Cook. Serve. I hate staying in these towns because these chains are overwhelmingly most of the options. At least the aesthetics of the interior are less the 'through-crap-on-the-wall' of Applebee's. Go to Hooters instead a few feet away instead; if the food isn't much to look at, at least something else is.

You get what you pay for, and also receive what the owner is willing to accept. Our underexperienced server was so eager to run us through her night's timetable that I almost thought I was standing in line at the Burger King. Thanks for asking if we're ready to order for the fourth time, but maybe we aren't treating your table as a country food trough. Classic friday's: tired old recipes, steaks w/ steamed vegetables sans seasonings, food reminiscent of airline dinners, and an atmosphere awash with hollow kitsch. I was reminded of another chain restaurant fact, don't order salads with any expectation above a plate full of iceberg lettuce and a 2 tablespoon serving of dressing, puh-lease! Its called mixed greens, red lettuce, leaf lettuce, anything but head lettuce and iceberg! At this point i have to give a shout out to my friends for the compromise we struck by frequenting a blah chain; one was voting for La Hurt-ya. NO.

I'm not sure where to start with this place that was once a good place to dine and drink. I've been to Fridays for many years because it was one of the few chain restaurants in the area, and my last visit was simply bad. We had a group of 12 and were told it would be a 15 minute wait, but we waited 40 minutes to be seated. Our server was bad, she kept getting our orders mixed up, AND forgot the birthday girl's drink and food. They did an awesome job renovated the restaurant, but my only dislike were the black toilets. Sorry, but I would want to clearly see what I'm putting my tush on before sitting. For a Saturday night the place was fairly empty by 10PM. The quality of the food and service of TGI Fridays has severely tanked.
