This is a new joint in Fort Smith (opened early 2014) and, frankly, I don't really understand the thought behind it. We're blessed with tons of steak places, local and chain, plus at least two restaurants that are exactly like TRH (Logan's Roadhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse). So, right away it has to bring something new to the table. Does it? It sure does. What's that? NOISE! Great googly-moogly is it loud, and not just because the place was packed (all new restaurants in Fort Smith are packed out for the first few months). There's loud music, shouting, dancing (yes, actual dancing), TV noise and much more. I don't mind a lively restaurant, but this place is just plain deafening at times. In addition to the noise, the atmosphere is very much a G-rated Coyote Ugly. Occasionally, the servers and waiters/waitresses stop what they're doing, crank up the music, line up, and dance in the aisles. Now, I like to have fun as much as the next guy, but a) it's kind of annoying to watch your waitress stop what she's doing and dance to Martina McBride while you still haven't gotten your food and b) it's a little... awkward... to have a 15 year old bus boy shaking his moneymaker three feet from your surf-and-turf. The under 16 crowd seemed to like it, but no one else really did, including the staff being forced to dance. That being said, it's not all bad. Our waiter was good... a bit over attentive (he literally offered us "fresh, piping hot, delicious rolls" like the waiter from Office Space) but he seemed like a nice guy trying to do the best he could. The food was actually pretty solid as well, except for the butter which, for some reason, has cinnamon in it. Because that's what I want with a dinner roll... cinnamon butter. All that is the only reason this place gets any love from me at all because, besides that, it was like eating in the middle of a junior high cafeteria left unsupervised. The obvious direct comparison is Logan's and, while Logan's isn't great, it's better than TRH. Also, I can't fail to mention something that happened while I was there. A waiter was carrying a tray over his head and a full glass of water fell off and hit another employee in the head. It was, frankly, a pretty scary moment and the girl might have gotten a concussion. The waitstaff needs better training, especially if they're being forced to dance in the aisles.

Went there with my girlfriend to grab some dinner. We had heard many good things about it so we decided to give it a try. We got seated immediately and our server was training a new employee so she had a follower the whole time, which in my experience of working in restaurants means two things- 1) it slows you down a bit but 2) you have an extra pair of hands and eyes. We ordered the fried pickles as an app and they tasted completely over seasoned and salty. Our entrees were fine, but most definitely not impressive. Our server came up to the table three times. Once to take our order, again to refill our drinks, and finally to drop the check off. Other servers ran our food and the manager checked up on us once. I thought maybe our server was busy with a large party or something, but she seemed to only have two tables. Us and the one right across from us, whom she got things for without turning around to clear plates or check on us. As a server myself, I would say the service was terrible and it's sad to see that's who is training upcoming staff. Food not impressive. Service bad. Two stars because the rest of the staff was nice. Seriously, go to Longhorns instead.

Meh is probably not the word I would use, but I've definitely had better dining experiences. Food is very good and not an issue price -wise. Place is just crowded and very noisy. Service is often slow and makes you wonder if they could speed things up by not doing the line dancing server schtick. The complimentary peanuts is a cool thing and we usually get some to go when we leave.

Other TRH's are great. This one is not. Food tastes like everything was frozen at some point in time.

The food was excellent, the waiter very attentive and the wait time not too long. The only thing I wasn't to big on was the noise... Loud music, dancing by the wait staff etc. It is similar to Joe's rabs shack with the dancing etc.

This was my first time going to Texas Roadhouse. I used their call ahead seating which was great! My parents wanted to try it and with my sister coming into town, we could only go on a Sunday afternoon. The entire place was packed but when I arrived i only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. A hostess brings you to your table with hot delicious rolls and cinnamon butter! Yes, cinnamon butter! You can enjoy the rolls and peanuts until your waitress comes to you to take your drink order. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. Our food came out hot and tasty! I had the road kill and highly recommend it if you like your protein mixed with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. My meal came with two sides and picked steamed vegetables and a baked sweet potato. Since the portions are huge, I was able to take half my meal home and eat the rest for dinner. While we were eating, a hostess came by and asked us if this was our first time. We said "Yes" and they gave us a bag of peanuts and asked us to come back and have a free appetizer on them! It was such a pleasant surprise and we definitely left looking forward to coming back.

Fun atmosphere, but just another restaurant. Wait staff was dressed "road house"-y, although some people needed to rethink the booty shorts and too-small shorts. Some people wore shirts that said "I my job" but their attitude said they'd rather be anywhere but here. While our waitress was very friendly, 90% of the staff looked as though the restaurant had to scrape the bottom of the bucket for servers. (And I'm NOT just trying to be mean or rude) had to wait quite a while for our drinks, and later the waitress had to ask if we ever received our appetizers, even though it was obvious we hadn't. Food finally came out and the steak was VERY dry, loaded baked potato was over cooked, mashed potatoes were runny and tasted like powdered potatoes, and the "Roadhouse" steak sauce was terrible! (No where even remotely close to an off brand A1). We were still eating (chewing and forks not laid down) when the waitress asked if we needed a box and laid our ticket on the table. $50 for two adults (drinks included) was a little high for the quality, if you ask me. I probably won't return even though it wasn't a terrible experience.

I went there for lunch celebrating my husband and I third wedding anniversary. The service was great, The food was well done. It got a little loud once in a while but that was okay. Overall had a great time, I recommend going there.

This location is great. We have eaten there many times and we have always had exceptional service and never had a bad meal.

Really good food and service. However, it is so noisy with loud music you cannot carry on a conversation. I think they must be aiming for a younger demographic than I am a part of. We will be back for the food but not for the entertainment or atmosphere.
