About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! At first glance, you won't want to eat here. Looks like a shack. I wouldn't recommend eating in because the restaurant is super small. Get it to go! The fried rice is always on point. It's about $7 and is usually enough to split with someone else. They can be sticklers when it comes to giving you sweet and sour sauce to go. So be persistent when you ask. Hopefully one day they will expand and remodel

It's unfortunate Arkansans rarely use Yelp to review. I think they just use it to check on the ratings, which is fine. I love Fried Rice! This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. At first glance you may think "wow where am I..........." because of the neighborhood and size of the restaurant. There 3 things I usually get: Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, or the Spicy Chicken Fried Rice. I don't know what it is but their fried rice is on point. Maybe a bit much oil for my liking, but nonetheless, it's got great flavor. The service is mediocre. As for the majority of asian restaurants, they don't get the proper server training. So as you can guess, they're not always attentive to their tables. Food comes out fairly quick too. Cash only!

No frills. Good food with a great price. I would say this is more Chinese than Thai, though. Definitely not the healthiest choice, but you will have leftovers. I recommend the Spring rolls, spicy fried rice and combination Lad Na. Not the fanciest place, but you know local, small time places often have the best food in a hidden package. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Tip: Cash only

It is easy to drive by and miss this place because it does not look like a restaurant. It's pretty divey and there are not a lot of tables available. But don't let that fool you - this is probably one of the better Thai/Chinese/Vietnamese places to eat in Fort Smith. The menu is pretty limited, but I cannot say we have anything we did not like. One of their surprisingly great dishes is their Beef Salad, though it's not for those who cannot handle heat. I love the Pad See Ew and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The Pineapple Fried Rice has some curry cooked in with it. I wouldn't say it is too spicy, like hot, but it does add a richer flavor to the dish that I enjoy. The Chicken Fried Rice is pretty solid as well. The appetizers... OMG... the appetizers are worth the trip alone. They definitely have the best fried egg rolls. And the cream cheese wonton (there's no crab in it) are great. The prices here are great, though keep in mind that they do not do free refills on drinks other than water. The servers do speak broken English, but I have found them to be very friendly. One warning I will offer: I would not recommend going 30-45 minutes before they close with the expectation of eating there. They definitely want everyone out by closing time and will repeatedly remind you they are about to close if you sit down near closing time. OH! One more thing... they only take checks or cash.

We love this restaurant. The food is addicting and they remember you if you are a regular. The portions are huge! I love the beef and pork combo fried rice and the appetizer combo plate. The tempura is on point!

My girlfriend lives here so she brought me here for takeout. I had egg rolls and spicy chicken fried rice. The portion of rice was large for the price. There were nice size pieces of chicken in the fried rice and it tasted good. The egg rolls were good as well. This is the 1st time I have had egg rolls this small but I liked them. Just the right amount of filling with a crunch of the roll. It looks run down but if you're foodie then you know that doesn't matter. It's worth a try if you are in the mood for this type of food. I will be going back to try the beef salad. I would give 5 stars if they accepted credit cards. NO CREDIT CARDS.

The food here is so good and authentic. Highly recommend to eat here if you're ever in town. People that live in fort Smith are regulars and visitors should try this spot. So good! It's like a hole in the wall but they are very well known.

This place wasnt too bad. I have dined in and carried out. Both times I have gotten my food hot and fast. Waitresses are all asian (as expected) and not all their english is spoken very clearly. But the food is certainly what you are gonna come here for. It is presented well and they have a wide range of drinks to pick from and it has kid friendly juices as well (Minute Maid I do believe). It is pictured! I would definately come here if I was in the mood for asian going down Midland. They do have a decent sized parking lot and the place might not look the best but they keep it clean.

They are known for their fried rice, and it is the best in town! It may look run down on the outside, but it doesn't stop me from returning. Prices are very good for the abundant amount of food. I eat here at least once a week. I always get their fried wonton and combination lad na or fried rice.
