Great place to have lunch with the co workers.

Perfect after church lunch! Great service and delicious food. The sushi rolls had just the right ratio of rice to filling with perfectly cooked rice and fresh ingredients. The chicken fried rice had a generous portion of chicken. The miso soup was nice and hot and with the green tea I got a new bag with each refill. After using a 15% off coupon our meal was only $16.00. We'll be back soon!

It's nice having a Japanese restaurant on Dickson. They have a fair selection on the menu and there is a good sushi menu. The prices don't quite suit the quality but there isn't much competition on Dickson for sushi. They have a nice patio area for enjoying nice weather. The interior has nice character but the bathrooms need attention for numerous reasons. The food isn't exactly the best quality for the cost but they get the job done.
(3)Amber L.
Happy hour beer, wine, sake, AND sushi. You can't beat it. Their service is always spot on. I like their patio in the summertime. The inside is a little small when it's busy. I love their Dickson roll and the one with the filet mignon on top (forgot the name). Omg so good. Best roll I've ever had. Be careful of the rolls that have the raw jalepenos on top. They will light you on fire!! I enjoy heat and it hurt my taste buds. If you want good sushi and a better, young environment than shogun, come here!

We came here on our mini vacation over Memorial day weekend. We started with edamame, and the Alaskan roll. Edamame was great and salted perfectly and the Roll was awesome. The perfect amount of flavors. I got the tofu fried rice and Jesse got the combo fried rice. We both agreed that it was the best fried rice we have ever had, something so simple but so delicious. They have a great wine and beer selection. Our server was awesome, I think his name was Louie, and he was very attentive and friendly. I wish we had one of these places back home!

First, this place is under the same ownership as Shogun near the Northwest Arkansas Mall. That is why the two restaurants' menus are almost identical. With that said, Wasabi is essentially Shogun-lite. This place offers a similar selection of sushi, but far less other entrees. Not that anyone's really complaining, because Wasabi is really more supposed to be a bar/restaurant casual dining place, while Shogun occupies slightly higher echelon. So yes, the sushi is about as good as it gets here in Northwest Arkansas. For those of you who wonder why it's so expensive here, keep in mind that sushi-grade fish is supposed to NEVER have been frozen, and we're pretty far in-land. In addition to sushi, they also have some pretty good fried rice, gyoza (dumplings), and sea weed salad. One note though, if you have a sensitive nose for cigarette smoke, then you'll probably get turned off by the smell in the place for lunch. Several times I've gone in, I was able to smell the residual smoke.
(4)Donna G.
Wasabi is one of our favorite spots in Fayetteville. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Service is top notch as well.
(5)Tori K.
Came here for the first time and ordered a chicken Katsu bento box for lunch. First of all, they have free edamame Monday-Friday for lunch! Second, the bento box is a bargain! Tempura, California roll, chicken Katsu, rice and salad for $8.95! I can't say much about the sushi because I only tried the California roll but I'm looking forward to trying more soon!
(4)Jennifer C.
Definitely amazing sushi and they have a variety of sake and other drinks! We had so much fun here!
(4)Patty B.
2.5 stars... We'll start with the good. :) Location is nice. It's right off of Dickson street. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Service was good. Nothing great. Our server was nice and polite and there to refill drinks. I got the Hawaiian poku and my husband got the rock n roll. The sushi was sub par. The Hawaiian is a huge mix of tuna and avocado with other flavors. I like to be able to taste the sushi and felt like it was lost in sauces and slices. My husbands dish was very small so he ordered another roll and I tried it. For the first time in my life, I got sickened by tasting a spicy tuna roll. It was pretty disgusting. I would not go here again. Sad because such a nice location, but for the price and the value, it's not worth it.

I randomly found myself on a day trip to Fayetteville with my boyfriend, and I am hoping this was just an anomaly situation given it was the Arkansas vs. LSU weekend. Because of that, I think it is only fair to break out the review into parts: 2.5 for service and 4 for food. The wait for two people on this particular Friday night was well over 45 minutes. Jonas and I waited at the bar and got drinks to pass the time, but I could not believe how busy it was. Once we were finally seated, we quickly made our decision so we could get our orders in and hopefully get the food before dawn. Our rolls, in order from favorite to least favorite were: Elvis, Razorback and Oh Baby. The Oh Baby was mediocre at best in my opinion, but the Elvis roll more than made up for it. Again, I'm not sure if this restaurant is always that insane, but I hope not for the sake of local sushi fans.
(3)DANE E.
Very hip young place to get great sushi. It's geared more toward college kids but it's still nicer than most places in town. It's owned by the same family that owns Shogun so they know their stuff. I recommend the "Sam's Roll" it comes out flaming!
(5)Amber W.
I frequent Wasabi when I'm in town and last night was AWFUL! Waiter was all over the place, drink was disgusting, and my app came out after my meal. The person dining with me got habachi filet... It was clearly not a filet, not cooked the way it was ordered and the soup and salad that was supposed to come with the meal was never served. Highly disappointed and probably won't go back and that makes me sad because wasabi was one of my favorite places to go
(1)Jocelyn C.
I will always love their food but they have, undoubtedly, the worst service. It always takes at least 5 minutes for someone to come to our table and we constantly find ourselves looking for our server.
(2)Dave W.
I was in Fayetteville for Bikes, Blues, and BBQ when I stopped in for lunch. (Yeah, I know, strange choice, but I was not in the mood for street vendor fare) The food wasn't as good as the Wasabi in St. Louis. The main issue that I had was the deplorable restrooms. Dirty, disgusting, and falling apart. Quite frankly, the whole restaurant was dirty.
(3)Jennifer J.
Wasabi has good sushi and great lunch and happy hour deals. My son loves their fried rice.
(4)D R.
My friends and I ordered chicken and steak fried rice to go earlier tonight, and we're fairly disappointed with what we got. When you get charged $12.99 for something, plus gratuity, you'd expect quality. Instead we got a tiny order of food that was practically charred. Love the sushi, but definitely got ripped off. Honestly, how do you mess up chicken fried rice?
(2)Matthew M.
Good Americanized sushi. Lots of options and pretty tasty considering its in NW Arkansas. Lacking on the entrees and appetizers, but I don't think many people come for anything but the sushi. College-town feel since it is located on Dickson street (close to the Univ. of Ark), but makes for a good casual date. Seems a bit pricey for the lack of ambiance, but the sushi is definitely good.
(3)Tommy N.
All things considered, the sushi was okay. When you're in Arkansas, you gotta work with what you got. What shouldn't be excused would be the painfully slow service. Twenty minutes before we got our bottle of beer. Ten additional minutes until we got the sake. After the table of four beside us finished their food despite coming in after us, we got our sushi which again, all things considered, was just okay. We didn't order much. Just a single order of sushi for each of us. Three orders of sushi total. It wasn't a busy day either. Less than half of the seats there were occupied. Maybe the waiter was new. Maybe the cook was new. Maybe, but it doesn't take 20 minutes to pop open a beer or two.
(1)Abbie J.
This is my personal favorite place in Fayetteville! I love the "Sam roll" and they have the hands down BEST fried rice in town!! The Goya (pan stickers) are great and so is their house salad! Yummy! The martinis are really good, if you sit at the bar ask for Thomas!
(5)Jian L.
This is based on my expectation in Arkansas. This place has nice atmosphere, full bar and many different choices of sushi rolls. My favorite is the sushi burrito, nothing jumps out but I luke it! I would come back again if I need sushi and im at Arkansas.
(3)R H.
Really good Sushi. If you like ShoGun, you will like Wasabi. I'm pretty sure its the same menu. I know the sushi is the same. The Dickson St. Roll and the Baked Baby Lobster roll are my favorite!
(4)Amanda W.
Best and freshest sushi around. Prices are good. I've never been disappointed here! This is my favorite sushi place ever.
(5)Preeti S.
There is nothing great about this place - Service - awfully slow and unfriendly Food - Rolls and sushi is as non-authentic japanese as it can be Price - Reasonable Ambience - OK If you want real japanese food - this is not the place If you want something to drink - go to a cool bar If you want funky rolls - i dont know which place to recommend but this is not it
(3)Todd M.
Sushi is at best so-so. But the service makes this place awful. I have done it twice, and I am done - won't be back. Believe it when you read the bathrooms are disgusting and the place smells like an old wet cigarette bar.
(1)Amy W.
This place is ok. Their lunch bento box could have more variety and options for the customers. The price is expensive considering other places has more options for what you are paying for. Even though this is a branch from Shoguns, Shoguns in Fayetteville has a way better menu and food.
(3)Ginny H.
Service is not great, but the food is yummy. Try the volcano roll, it will blow your taste buds sky high...
(4)Heather H.
Pretty decent sushi. Service was good. Food came out a bit too fast..but who can really complain about that? Enjoyed it and would go back.

This is an A for service. I'm allergic to gluten - which means anything with wheat, rye, barley. That makes sushi eating hard for me. I don't live here, so I couldn't access my usual knowledge of local places to eat, so when my friend wanted to go here I followed. These guys were great, and the waitress even went to get someone from the back to ensure everything I got was allergy-free. They fairly customized my meal, and charged me next to nothing! I highly recommend this place - great service, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere.
(5)Taylor W.
Currently my favorite sushi spot in Fayetteville. Good food, great atmosphere, friendly stafff. Usually get the eel and tempura shrimp rolls with fried rice -- all so good. The dragon roll is another favorite. Could have more wasabi and ginger when first served, but that's like most sushi places. Ate at Tokyo sushi once when there was a wait here and regretted it (see review for it to see why).
(4)Ginger T.
The food itself is excellent. I'm a vegetarian and I often experience problems eating out, but the sushi here is very customizable. However, the service is really, really bad. My sister and I went here about three weeks ago and we were almost completely ignored, as we waited 15 minutes to have our order taken (and no, it wasn't busy). We asked for no onions in the vegetable tempura, but sure enough, we are served vegetable tempura with onions. And when we pointed this out, the waitress roller her eyes and huffed. If you want food from here, order takeout.
(2)John P.
Sub-par sushi. Slow service. Just buy some in a grocery store... It's the same...
(1)Laurie R.
Visiting our son for a few days and he brought us to this place! Tried several different sushi, but absolutely loved the Sam's Roll and Baby Lobster Roll! Service was not great and neither was the ambiance of the place, but who cares when the sushi was great!
(5)Dre T.
Awesome sushi and a great atmosphere! I cannot wait to go back, everyone was good looking and very well mannered that worked there as well as the good looking patrons. We stuck around the bar longer than we had originally planned and had a blast! The food was great, even for our buddy who doesn't do sushi!!
(5)daniel s.
The servers are hot, the manager is good looking, the decor is lively, the food is delicious, and the bar is fully stacked. What more can you ask for? Come here for a chill time. It won't be as rowdy as every other bar on Dixon.
(5)Brittany G.
Fun atmosphere and yummy sushi.
(4)Linda P.
Totally unimpressed! Service sucked. Food was ok. Bathroom was nasty with no paper towels AND you had to touch 2 nasty door knobs to get back to dining room! Hope kitchen staff has another sink to wash up in.
(1)D R.
Took my Aunt out to lunch. This a cool. Its only the 2nd time I come here. I get the the Lunch combo BBQ Chicken. For 30 bucks you get 2 lunch combos with soda. It was pretty quite because it was after the lunch rush.
(4)Julie B.
I hate this place..I doubt the bartender i had is still there but he was probably the worst I've ever had including seattle and that says quite a bit..and deff. not worth the money, go across the street to Jose's. it's not as hip but you'll have more fun trust me.
(1)L P.
Amazing sushi and fast service for a Saturday night, but again it was a game night. The decor is retro-ish and somewhat romantic bc it is dim in there. I went around happy hour and believe it was 15% off sushi!!! Great deal for awesome food! Parking can be a tight squeeze bc of the parking lot size.
