My boss and I came from out of town to take some special customers to dinner. I found Theo's on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to try it out. They have valet parking which was very helpful since I couldn't find the parking spaces very easily (out of towner...) We were welcomed warmly at the reception area and we waited at the bar for our guests where the bartender quickly got us our drinks and even took the time to have a quick, nice chat with us. Our table was already available when we arrived but they let us wait for our guests. When we were seated, our server Wade was polite and allowed us to talk to each other for a few minutes before we had to look at the menu. He was very helpful with the menu (no one at our table had been here before, even the "locals") and he suggested the specials which sounded very interesting. I had the venison ribs which were a little spicy, made with chipotle sauce and other chili's and spices, and they were amazing! Others had the wild boar ravioli and the roasted chicken. All dishes were extremely tasty, according to the others. The prices for the entrees and appetizers were very reasonable. The environment was classy but not stuffy and it was very relaxing there. Our customers were very pleased with the dinner and the company (of course!) and they both said that they would have to bring their spouses back there. And my boss said I hit a home run choosing Theo's, so that can't be all bad, right? I highly recommend this place: if you are a local, you have a real gem there! If you are from out of town, it's a great place to visit.

This is a very nice restaurant. I've been several times since moving back to the northwest Arkansas area. The food is consistently very good. The cocktails are good and formidable. And the service is always outstanding. And it is all delivered with an absolute lack of pretense. A great place for a drink, Or celebrating a special occasion with a significant other.

Had three appetizers - duck quesadilla, sliders, and calamari. Only the duck was anything to write home about. Drinks were great, though. Tasty house malbec.

Had dinner here last night with friends, seated right away even though we were 15 min late for our reservations. Service was good, drinks as always were GREAT!! Long live the Moscow Mule and Basil Gimlet :) All of us had salads, spinach salad with walnuts was fantastic, and everyones main course was on time and perfectly cooked. Had the molten lava cake for desert, absolutely no complaints about Theo's. Valet parking, great lounge for before or after drinks, and the food was worth the price. $280 including tip for 4, good price by any white tablecloth standards!

Oh Theo's....Oh Theo's....you have a LOT of potential. Even more so if you are properly staffed....I would definitely give our (second round) of food a 5 star. OK, so here's the deal. It's hard to write this review b/c everything had to be done twice - and that is so disappointing overall, BUT before I go on, I do want the readers to know that Theo's manager and GM both were amazing and made our experience as good as it could have been making up for all the lack of service we received for the first hour or so that we were there. That is why this is not a 1-2 star review. I just hate that any of the "bad" even had to happen b/c the good was GREAT. I would DEFINITELY go back - I'll start there. The food was memorable in a way that leaves a great impression but our service really put us off on the wrong foot and stayed that way EVEN after we complained to the hostess. Our waiter Erik was such a big disappointment, that he single handedly ruined what could have been our best meal out the whole time my friend and I were visiting Arkansas last week. We went on a Wednesday night at the recommendation of our local girlfriends and celebrating our lasts night in town. They raved about Theo's and we sat outside on the patio (it was a cool 75 degrees and it was crowded). They were CLEARLY overwhelmed and we considered ourselves patient as we had to wait....and wait....and wait. We asked for a pitcher of water (no they can't do that). OK, can you do TWO glasses (yes we can, but it was never brought). Hummus was ordered and the amount of hummus to dippers was WAY off, so we ask for more dippers (no problem....NEVER EVER came....ever - the whole time). All of us except for one ordered steaks (two medium-rare and one medium) ....almost an hour went by before our food came and when it did, the veggies were cold and the steaks waaaaaaaaaaay overdone. I will say that once the 2nd set of steaks were brought, it was NOT the chef's fault. I imagine they are right on EVERY time but our waiter never brought the food and it sat in the window MUCH too long, while our steaks were still cooking on the hot plate. This was when we asked for a manager and both came over. They were rockin' awesome. Our waiter (Erik) was still completely oblivious to his actions and asked if we wanted to box up our left over (uneaten b/c it got old) hummus and (badly cooked) steaks while we waited on our fresh food. Um....no dude. We'll take more drinks (never came). SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH. This guy was just NOT getting it. Serving might NOT be his bag. Not really sure what was going on but it was incredibly frustrating. When the steaks came out the 2nd time, they were PERFECT....I mean, MOUTH watering and delicious. I got the butter lump crab on mine and it was INCREDIBLE. My asparagus was fine and the potatoes were well worth the carb intake. Overall, DELISH and I would certainly order again! The managers continually checked on us and apologized. It was unnecessary at that point for them to continue coming by but they were worried and stressed and I could tell they definitely cared. I appreciate this so much as I'm in the service business too! They SAVED our meal by also sending out four different delectable desserts. LOVED the chocolate brownie bowl and creme brulee was good (but not the best I've ever had). Then.....never in my life have I experienced this, they comped our WHOLE meal (everything!!). They paid for our dinner on the house and profusely thanked us for our patience. It goes to show that when you aren't pitching a HUGE fit and acting foolish, restaurant owners/managers will step up and do the right thing. I know some folks would throw and cuss/leave and never come back but just a simple conversation and a sympathetic consideration for our feelings along with doing the right thing made up for what could have been a disastrous experience. They really DID NOT have to pay for our meals but it was so amazing that they did. They paid it forward that night and we really did enjoy our 2nd go at the meal and the food was so good and the unexpected kindness of the two managers made us feel all very connected. I felt their pain and they felt ours. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and would go back if I ever am back in the area. I just would NOT recommend Erik. He is oblivious and not good at all at keeping up with a four top. He certainly didn't SEEM to care and even at one point told the hostess he wasn't our server! It was ridiculous. So avoid Erik and give the steaks a try. YUUUUM.
Maybe our favorite place in the world. A quiet, sophisticated bistro in the heart of the Ozarks. Knowledgable and talented wait staff (especially Jordan Ivey) make for a memorable and delicious meal. 5 stars!!!! Every time!

Valet parking. Service was excellent. Reservation on time. Seated and served promptly. Starters are excellent and our favorite was a pork shoulder with slaw. Yes, a starter. Salads were inventive and excellent. Filets cooked as ordered and moist. Fish was fresh. Outside dining if you wish. We dined inside and very conversation friendly with great service.

Hardest review I've ever had to make. If I don't have anything positive to say is rather not review... But everything had a great side and bad side, but in the end I will not return. The food was delicious, but not adequately portioned. I don't do big plates so when I complain about 5 bites, that was my meal. Our service was terribly slow and and we spent most of our time without drinks, but the waiter was super nice and tried to compensate. Drinks were very watered down so stick to beer or wine. Some drinks at our table were not even touched because they were bad and some food was sent back. Hummus appetizer came with such an enormous amount of hummus it was wasteful. Ask for extra carrot sticks or pita bread and we were charged extra, which is fine, but they need to adjust portions who wants to throw out 2-3 cups of good hummus? Two hour wait from seating until dinner was served. I ordered the sashimi and was served 5 bites of food. If someone orders that as a meal, a server should warn, it's only 5 bites. Do not like smoke? Do not sit outside. My bad, but cigars and cigarettes are fine if you are in the mood but I was overwhelmed.

Theo's is a great place for a cocktail. Their list is phenomenal. Over a few visits, I had the Bed of Roses (sublime), the Basil Gimlet, the Thin Man, the Lie to Me, the G&T, the Fleur-de-Lis (another highlight), and the Lemongrass NYC Sour, which was honestly one of the best drinks I've ever had. One night we stayed for dinner. The duck confit risotto was warming and delicious, and my friend loved her double cut pork chop. The dishes were as beautiful as they were tasty. If you're in the area, don't miss this one!

We wanders in here late after a night crawling Dickson St, in search of some dessert to wrap it all up. So I can't speak to the actual food on the menu, but we ordered some molten cake and a couple of dessert cocktails from the bartender. She was great, giving us the detail of what was in each of the very tasty drinks and confirming we could still get our choice of desserts before ordering. The cake and drinks were totally decadent and exactly what we wanted. Pricing was not a surprise considering how swanky the restaurant was. If we make it back to Fayetteville any time soon, we will have to try dinner here to round out the review.

Solid service, excellent and creative food preparation, and smoothly styled environment. Had the duck w/ wild mushroom risotto and it was absolutely excellent. Duck was falling off the bone and risotto was creamy and flavorful. Cocktails are creative and effective. Overall, an honestly good establishment.

Found this place on Yelp. My co-worker and I were in town for work. It definitely does not disappoint! We sat outside on the patio and loved it! The martinis are delicious and so was the food. Heading back to Fayetteville in January and looking forward to visiting Theo's again!

Not only was the food great, the service was awesome! We made a reservation for 4 on the Arkansas v. Georgia weekend. A few hours before or reservation time, we wanted to add two more to our table. We called and they said it couldn't happen. When we arrived, we asked again. Again, they said they were just too booked but they would reserve a table for our extra two in the bar (and they typically don't do that). But, the hostesses weren't done yet. They scrambled around and when there a cancellation, they moved an empty table up against ours and we were able to eat with our extra two! They could've just forgotten about us...I mean, we were already there and going to spend money. But, they went above and beyond to help us out! Thanks Girls!! The salmon with the cranberry sauce and spaghetti squash was phenomenal! It will become my new "regular" meal when we are in town for ball games. Wine selection is great, waitress was attentive, but not bothersome, and very knowledgeable. You need to make your reservations waaaaay in advance because this place books up. It's that good.

This is a great place to spend your night relaxing near Dickson. The food is great and so are the drinks. There is is a variety of seating: patio, bar, lounge, and restaurant. Parking can be tricky but they have valet parking that is very convenient. It might be a challenge to locate and park but it's worth the effort. Delicious food, great service, and relaxing atmosphere. They are on the expensive side but they always have good specials and the menu is great!

What a great night at Theo's. Thursday night drinks for $5 and the food was perfectly prepared. I had the wild boar sausage ravioli and my mate had the mahi mahi special. They were both incredible and the service excellent. Go there!

Fayetteville's quintessential date night/girls night out/ party night place. The atmosphere is very sexy here. Great outdoor patio space, cute indoor lounge area and comfortable banquet style seating in the main dining room. The cocktails are very unique here. They do a Thursday special martini night and have some inventive options- all 5 bucks. Their Campbell cocktail (their unique take on an old fashioned) is a must try for bourbon drinkers. As for apps we got the BBQ pork and tuna tartar- both great great standbys and would recommend. We shared a salad with the fried goat cheese- very tasty At $32 the filet is to die for! I got mine rare and it was super buttery. It comes with mashed potatoes and a choice for a second side and they allow you to swap the mashed so I got the mushrooms (tasted like candy) and the brocolini. Our server recommended ordering it with chili sauce which was fantastic. Dessert was the chocolate molten cake with caramel which we were assured was homemade, the Carmel was definitely from package. My one criticism which takes this place from 5 stars down to 4 stars is not enough local farm offerings. Ak has amazing hydroponic greens, mushrooms, also organic and high quality wild caught fish would be a great addition to their menu. Of course this would also bring up prices, but would be interesting to see if people are willing to pay for quality.

This is one of my very favorite places to eat when I'm in the area. The happy hour specials are really a good deal. I've always enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service at Theo's. The last time I was in I had the Oyster Po Boy. My initial plan of eating the filling and leaving the bread went right out the window after the first bite. The sandwich was just perfect. The oysters were lightly breaded and fried, the tomatoes were perfectly red (in January no less!), and the spicy sauce served on the side was an excellent accompaniment. When I ordered that sandwich I was really looking forward to fries, sometimes a girl just has to have some fries! When my plate arrived, it came with chips. I got the attention of our server and said "I thought this came with fries." Her response, "I'll get you some right away." I still don't know if it was my mistake or the kitchen's but it really doesn't matter, rather than question anything our server took care of it. That is excellent service and I appreciate it!

The wife and I have been to Theo's twice now, and plan to make it a staple each time we visit. The food has always been great, the steaks are wonderful, especially if you get the crab meat on top....WOW! We actually liked our waitress so much the first time that my wife asked for her again the second time, which they were happy to accommodate. I will update later with the waitress's name, as I am am terrible at remembering them. Overall, not a bad thing to say, and the valet on a game night makes it even more awesome.

My wife son and i went out to say good bye to another year. The wait staff was good and the menu was plentiful. As the main coarse arrived my wives steak was seriously under cooked and then i noticed that my son had this awesome rib eye cooked to perfection. I had ordered the rib eye as well and as i took the first couple of bites realized that the had substituted a NY strip. I ate what i could choke down as it was tough and no where close to a good marbled rib eye. When the bill came i checked and sure enough they charged for 2 rib eyes,(the strip is $20 less). I should have asked but I am tired of complaining only to get vague gestures of sincerity. They did comp the deserts for the under cooked steak. taz38258@cox.net

This restaurant was a little too upscale ( which I like) for my husband so we sat in the bar area. It had a really nice feel to it. It had tables and booths but also big cushy chairs around a smaller coffee tables. He ordered off of the bar menu, filet minion sliders. He loved them, I did too. He also had the au gratin potatoes, he loved those too and he's a picky eater. I had the scallops with mushroom Risotto. The scallops were just OK and one of them had sand or a piece if shell in it. That said, the risotto was the star of the show, absolutely fabulous!

The atmosphere is great. Lower lighting, cloth tablecloths, 1930's style ceiling lights, and the dining area is on not on the same side of the restaurant as the bar. It also has an outdoor deck. We sat down and our waiter was quite slow to acknowledge us and I stopped the young lady that seated us, after more than 5 minutes, to order a bottle of wine. They were apologetic about the wait and brought us sorbet. After that our waiter was on top of things. The oysters were good, last time they were the best I had ever had, better than I've had in New Orleans or on the East Coast. The cheese plate had two cheeses I really liked. My steak came out over-cooked and I did send it back. My friends steak, a different cut, came out just the way it was ordered. There was a hard-to-see sardine in the toasted bread that came on the plate with dinner. We weren't told that's what it was, we guessed and did ask. I was not impressed with that and that we weren't given the option to go without a sardine in the bread. I did not eat mine. The creme brulee was fabulous. This was my second time but will I go again? I'm not really sure.

I went to Theo's with 4 friends when I was visiting Fayetteville. It was an absolutely beautiful night and we sat outside on the patio, where people can smoke and carry on as much as they like. I actually liked the atmosphere, lots of happy, young people, and a train crossing not so far away, from which you could occasionally hear the blaring horns of a crossing train a la "My Cousin Vinny" (and that's Alabama, I know). The wine list was pretty good, I had a flavorful cabernet, and my friends loved their cocktails. I didn't have an appetizer, but had a NY Strip steak straight away. It was undercooked at first, no big matter, the waitress took it back with huge apologies, and quickly fixed it. (I never send back steaks, but this one needed to be...) In the end it was a very tasty steak, rich, buttery, and salty, mmm. I had brussels sprouts, one of my favorite things on the planet, on the side, and they were decent, nothing spectacular. The waitress was friendly and helpful, and us city-folk enjoyed eating this good food outside late in a casual atmosphere.

Wonderful food in an upscale, very pretty, professionally run restaurant. Loved the basil gimlet, and $12 for a wine flight of South American wines with nice size pours felt like a bargain. Asked server about salt beets before ordering this appetizer (I'm a big beet fan). When I truthfully told her, when asked, I was disappointed that they weren't "sweet" as usual, she immediately told a manager, who came right over and asked if they could replace them with something I would enjoy more. Class act! Table really enjoyed everything, especially foie gras, pasta of the day gnocci with bolognese, perfectly cooked seared tuna, cod (for a landlocked state, lots of fish on the menu, and everything we had was excellent). Apple dumpling dessert was a delicious conclusion. Chef and pastry chef clearly know what they are doing. Valet parking made it very easy.

Last night, my friend and I went to Theo's for dinner. In the three years that I've been living in the area, I have eaten there probably seven or eight times. Whenever someone asks me, I say Theo's is my favorite restaurant in NWA. Last night, the food was still very good (we shared the scallops and arugula appetizer - excellent!-, I had the NY strip and my friend the roast chicken "coq au vin"). However, a few details about the service were far from adequate in such a place: 1. The place was cold (temperature-wise). We asked for a table change since it appeared that one of the air conditioning outlets was hitting directly on us, but the second table felt even colder. Neither my friend or I took off our jackets during the whole dinner (and nobody asked us about it, either). 2. When the appetizer came, we still didn't have any bread served. I asked if we could have some, and the waiter came back saying that the bread was in the oven and it would take a couple of minutes. After that, all we got were three slices of not-so-moist bread (for two). 3. It took more than 20 minutes between the appetizer and the entrees were served. And the restaurant was emptying out at that point. It felt too long. Overall, our dinner experience was not bad, I will go to Theo's again because the food is still great, but I feel these details could be easily corrected.

ended up here during happy hour last week. i had a basil gimlet and their pulled pork slider appetizer. the gimlet was nice -- sweet and bitter with flecks of fresh basil. the sliders would have been much better if one of mine hadn't been 1/2 pork fat. sure, fat is flavor but i'm not a fan of having entire mouthfuls of it. the bbq sauce, however, was some of the best i've had in awhile (considering good bbq is quite rare in CA). i also tried a bite of my friend's duck quesadilla. it was so heavy on the toppings and accoutrements, though, that you lost the taste of the duck. the service was a bit spotty, but we were a party of about 20 with more than a few separate bills, so i don't blame the staff for getting a bit flustered.

Definitely upscale, and definitely the best in it's class. If you're on a budget, order from the bar menu. The list includes sliders, fries, quesadillas, etc: all under $10 ea. Thursdays are currently Martini nights. $5 any martini.

This is a great upscale restaurant that is partitioned into a main dining area and a large bar/lounge. The decor is dominated by black, with the walls and leather seating all blending in. The menu has a great variety of salads, sandwiches and main entrees such as filet, rib eye, and fish. Theo's also has an extensive wine list and offers prix-fixe menu options, with or without wine parings. There's also a great mixed drink list - the bellini cooler was good. We went on a Tuesday and most of the restaurant was set up for large parties. Apparently we were smack in the middle of wine Tuesdays, in which diners can order a 3 course dinner for $30 with the purchase of a bottle of wine. Our service was great although slightly eccentric. All three of us ordered the filet, which was a great cut of meat (we thought this may be the case since there are a ton of fields full of cows in the area). The hostess was friendly and helpful with other restaurant recommendations for the remainder of our week. There is valet parking, which was convenient due to the temperature drop. Plus the valet attendant was adorable and opened the door for all three of us ladies. I would definitely recommend Theo's to anyone in town or visiting. If you're not up for dinner, the lounge seems like a great place to spend an evening!

We were excited to try this place but for the money and the pretension, we've come to expect more. The service was cursory at best and the food was well - ok. The salad, the grilled asparagus and the drinks were very good, but the fries were borderline burnt and soggy and although the New York strip had some rich deliciousness to it's preparation, it came out quite rare when I'd ordered it medium. Furthermore, the factory-farmed cut of meat was not as good as it could be. Even if we just caught them on an off night, I don't think we'll be back since there are a couple other nice places in town we like much better (Greenhouse Grille, Brick House Kitchen, Bordino's, and in Springdale - James at the Mill).

Great food and ambience! Had duck quesadilla which was awesome the Tamarind BBQ sauce made the dish! Lobster ravioli was quite good and the Peach Flambe with the cinamon gelato was incredible. If I go back to the area again I would definitely go back!

Ate there tonight. Definitely a great place. The food was fairly decent, the service was over the top! Theonly problem was a dude at the lounge area decided todrink that one and only beer he had bought. Evidently he can only drink one beer and then become obstinant. Started getting too loud. But without any hesitation, The management made him leave. Totally good place to eat. Good Job Theo's.

For several years now Theo's was a favorite of my husband and I as well as friends, it was really good, but tonight our meals were mediocre at best. My mozzarella potato gratin was not baked long enough, the potatoes were crunchy. My "Theo's rib-eye" was so ordinary and uneventful it was a shame they wasted a rib-eye. My daughters veal ordered the veal, which looked like a frozen fish stick on the plate and tasted about the same. The veal was dry, over breaded and very over cooked. Our service was average, the waitress had no personality, and seemed as though a connection with us as customers was an effort. For the amount of $$$ we spent, and the below average food preparation, we were disappointed with Theo's.

I enjoyed my food (what little of it there was...), but found the atmosphere here to be a little dank and depressing. The price is outrageous for portion size and they seem to think their food is a lot more impressive than it actually is. The desert, however, was fantastic and the wait staff was really attentive.

My boss and I came from out of town to take some special customers to dinner. I found Theo's on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to try it out. Oh Theo's....Oh Theo's....you have a LOT of potential. Even more so if you are properly staffed....I would definitely give our (second round) of food a 5 star. OK, so here's the deal. YUUUUM.

We just moved here from San Francisco and this is the best meal we've had since moving to Fayetteville! Comparable to meals in SF and other major cities. Great service, food and atmosphere. We had the Octopus, Duck Risotto, Filet and Creme Brûlée. Just excellent!

My favorite place to eat while in Fayetteville, service is great and the food is amazing. Will be there again soon

The Prosciutto Wrapped Scallops with Arugula was amazing!!!!! I could eat that every day!! Also had risotto which was absolutely delicious!! Can't wait to go back!!

Perfect place for a date. Very good food and drinks. Happy hour is fantastic! Try their different martinis and other alcoholic creations...you won't be disappointed. Their hummus is also very good. Perfect location to go to Dickson afterwards and they have valet parking.

If you are looking for a place to get some great drinks in a great atmosphere...this is the place. The service is also awesome. The waiters are always great. Very friendly and knowledgable.

The atmosphere was great. The food was good and the service was fantastic. My first time and i really enjoyed it. It's not the finest restaurant in town, but it's good. I will be back.

Someone told me this was the best place in town to eat, now that I've been there I believe them. Excellent appetizers, and an exotic drink menu to die for! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a steak and the pork tenderloin and both were perfect.trust me, you will love it!

(4)Matt F.

Strawberry lemonade shots, sliders, calamari, steak tatar was good!

(2)Justin B.
Best restaurant in Fayetteville for fine dining. Far superior to the over-hyped Bordino's across the street. Great food and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
(5)Wils M.
$5 martinis on Thursdays, enough said. Nice atmosphere/ patio.
(5)Nick H.
Great food and ambience! Had duck quesadilla which was awesome the Tamarind BBQ sauce made the dish! Lobster ravioli was quite good and the Peach Flambe with the cinamon gelato was incredible. If I go back to the area again I would definitely go back!
(4)m s.
(4)Pamm P.
(2)Penny M.
I enjoyed my food (what little of it there was...), but found the atmosphere here to be a little dank and depressing. The price is outrageous for portion size and they seem to think their food is a lot more impressive than it actually is. The desert, however, was fantastic and the wait staff was really attentive.
