I'm giving Mellow Mushroom four stars, not because I think its the best in town, per se, but because I haven't found anything better. As is noted by other reviewers, pizza is often a subjective, and even very personal thing. I happen to like true NY pizza. This isn't that, but than again, neither is anything else i've had in Fayetteville. For what it is, Mellow Mushroom is good, even very good. I found the crust to have flavor, and it was properly cooked. The sauce and cheese were in the right proportions to one another, and the cheese tasted like it was a quality product, worthy of the cost. The toppings were good, and while i've only had basic pies from there, I imagine the specialty pies are of equal quality. The next time i go, i'll likely try either a salad or a calzone, as both seem to be good options. While its not the NY slice i crave, Mellow Mushroom does have two other things going for it. First off, they do have a quality beer selection, in both draft and bottle. The last time I dined in, they had Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, which is a delightful compliment to pizza, and a quality session beer all on its own. The other thing they have is a great staff. Every time I have been, I have met friendly, helpful staff who seem genuinely happy to work there. This is the mark of good management. Managers that can build a team with esprit de corps who are good at their jobs are somewhat rare, and they generally also know how to put out consistently good food. If i find a great NY pizza here, Mellow Mushroom will no longer be my favorite pizza join in Fayetteville. But until that time, its a pretty good substitute.

BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!! Way to go Fayetteville! If you have not been here....it is a MUST! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is THE BEST! Plus they have GREAT beer specials!!! This is the perfect hangout place! I love it!

I am in love. I got a build your own salad and a mega veggie vegan pizza. It is the best vegan pizza I have ever had, get the regular crust instead of gluten free. it's so delicious! Great atmosphere great service!

The food choice is mediocre, pretty typical for a pizza restaurant. Good food but not a priority if I were to pick a nice place to eat with family. Environment and staff are friendly and laid back.

What great food and friendly prompt service. The atmosphere us fun with vibrant colors and 70's theme. This is perfect for the family who needs to play "I Spy" while waiting for the pizza.

The two reasons why I rated so low were service related. Food was actually good. My waitress was just out of her league, and they only carried a few of the beers that were on the list. We went through 5 rounds of putting in an order the the waitress, her going to the bar, bar telling her that they didn't have "X" and then coming back to tell me. All this while the food order got messed up. All in all it took two hours to eat a meal that had to go back twice and a rotating lack of beers.

Ate at a few of these places around the country. This one has been the best yet. Ordered the Maui Wowie minus pesto and red sauce and the Asian wings. everything was cooked to perfection and the carry out service was excellent!

DELICIOUS PIZZA!! We loved their BBQ pizza and it's a bonus that they deliver! I recommend going here than any other pizza chain. Have to try something new and local. We're new to NWA, so it was nice finding this place. Eating there again!

The pizza here is tasty - but I might never eat it again after looking at the nutrition facts, yikes! 600+ calories for a piece of the 'Holy Shitaake' pizza - I could have deep dish for that. I DO really like all the flavor combinations, and I thought the pizza crust was above average and unique tasting. Definitely had more flavor than the standard crust. Great for eating alone or dipping. The only thing is, there's a lot of it - and it is pretty thick/dense (maybe where all the calories come from?). If you're into that kind of pizza - great! If you're not a big crust person, you can skip. Minus a point for forgetting the tzatziki sauce that was supposed to come with our "Mellowterranean" pizza. The sauce, when we did get it, was not actually tzatziki - instead, it was some combo of sour cream, feta and herbs. Still good, just not tzatziki. We also got a salad that was pretty decent.

As vegans, this Mellow location were very surprisingly on top of their stuff! The waitress knew automatically how we have to order our pizzas. Even said no butter or parmesan on the cruat before I did. We sat on the patio and enjoyed it. Very spacious & didn't feel forgotten. Our food came out fairly quick and they got our order correct. Overall, had a good experience! Mellow Mushroom's just tend to be consistently good every location I have tried.

I am in love with Mellow Mushroom's crust. It is so flavorful and crispy, yet light and fluffy. I do not sway much on what I order and I would recommend the Thai Dye pizza to anyone and everyone! It is such a unique pizza with curry chicken, cucumbers, thai basil, and sweet chili sauce which I could drink through a straw. I'm not often a huge fan of pizza but I will return time and again just to eat some Thai Dye because it's pizza... but really, it's not. :] We also just found out that they have lunch specials which blew me away. 1- 2 topping slice with a very large side salad and fountain drink for $6.99. I can definitely handle that.

The menu is creative but the food unfortunately just is not good. The quality of ingredients and preparation are poor. My order has came out incorrect more than once. They do have a great beer selection though.

Decent gluten free pizza with vegan cheese option. We don't prefer mellow mushroom, but it's somewhere to go if you want fast take out. The specialty pizzas are something to try out because of the flavor combos, but there's nothing great about their ingredients. The reg and gf crust is decent, but not something to rave abou.

Great pizza. I enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken pizza-very spicy and your mouth will be on fire but yummy. I only wish the bacon was in smaller pieces and more of it. Its the right blend of chicken, bacon, ranch and buffalo wing sauce. Not crazy that they have no domestics on tap, not everyone likes Boulevard, Fat Tire, etc. The muffaletta bread was a really good appetizer. You got to like black and green olices though. My biggest complaint is their address. DO NOT USE GPS because you will end up in SW Fville in a neighborhood. The Mellow Mushroom is located off Joyce on the other side of 71 from the mall, behind the post office.

Ate here my first night in AR, and was glad I did. The ambiance is really fun - from the low key staff, the paintings everywhere, and the giant disco VW hanging in the entryway. My waitress sat down to chat with me for a few minutes since I was dining alone, and gave recommendations when I asked about appetizers. I ended up having the cheese bread, which was great (crispy, cheesy, lots of herbs) and a Holy Shiitake pizza, which was awesome - super rich and full of mushrooms, plus topped off with a great garlic aioli and truffle oil. I finished up with a peanut butter cookie, which was a heavy, greasy disappointment after the rest of my meal. Overall, a great relaxed joint to eat some good, made-from-scratch pizza and enjoy a drink.

I love eating at Mellow Mushroom. However this location seems to be hit or miss on getting my order right. Kind wait staff. Just inconsistent on getting my order correct. Also, order to food time is on the slow end even for a pizza joint. Think I'll be skipping this location for the Rogers location for a while.

Best pizza by far. Friendly servers/staff. Bartenders knowledgable about the awesome beer selection. Very cool vibe/decor. Good TV's. Definitely a place for a beer nerd/beer snob to visit. They don't even waste any taps with miller lite/bud light (they're available in bottles). Highly recommend... Appetizers: bruschetta, meatballs, Greek salad (w/ esperanza dressing) Pizza: Mighty Meaty, House, Magical Mystery Tour, Thai Dye, Maui Wowie Check out trivia on Wednesdays at 8:00 to win Mellow gift cards.

Pizzas & sandwiches here are great... yum! Fresh ingredients, nice selection of veggies, and delicious wheat crust makes it all "feel" nutritious. They also have very good salads. One of the few spots where u can get a good, hearty salad. My office caters lunch from here alot, and it's a popular after-work hang out spot. Simply put... I'm a fan.

When I visit, I'd love to come back again. 1) Fun atmosphere. I enjoyed the psychedelic designs painted on all the walls throughout the restaurant. It had an semi-open kitchen so you could see the chefs and servers at work. They also had an open patio that would be perfect for a casual Friday night out. There's also ample parking spaces. 2) Great service. The waitress was professional, kind, and quick despite a busy lunch hour. The staff there in general were all fun to interact with. 3) Awesome food. The 6 pizzas we ordered were served exactly as we ordered and came to the table sizzling hot. Every pizza flavor was delicious and the selections are creative. I think the Holy Shitake became my personal favorite! I find that this type of pizza, which is somewhat reminiscent to brick oven pizza, is a nicer alternative to greasy ones like Pizza Hut. Even my parents, who can be the pickiest of eaters at time, absolutely enjoyed their time here. I look forward in coming back again! Overall, Mellow Mushroom is a fun and eclectic addition to Fayetteville.

I no longer eat pizza, (can't) but I eat here at least once a week as I work nearby. (Chicken caesar, no croutons, & tomato basil soup.) Love it, but what I love most about this place is the cozy comfy atmosphere and an absolutely awesome staff! So friendly and anxious to serve. I took a friend here with her 5 year old (who's free spirited) and the server was so kind and helpful it kind of blew me away. Also, the selection of beers, bottle and tap, is really well chosen and even served in the appropriate glassware by folks who are obviously passionate about what they sell. Refreshing in so many ways.

There are several great things about this place, the ONLY reason for two stars is the service. You'll notice this in all the reviews as they rave only about the food... Things I love: *Best Calzone in town - Be easy, all Calzone's take forever to cook. *Amazing Beer Selection - Get the Beer Card, its a bucket list item. *Great Patio - Fans, lots of plants, plenty o' space, covered , not on an open road, and gets good a breeze. Things I loathe: *HORRIBLE SERVICE - Consistently terrible service. Makes me wonder where the management is... *Tad Pricey - A lot of worthy Pizza competition here in town. Best pizza in the area. Probably the best pizza I've ever had. Now pizza is a very personal sort of thing, and one's preference is very much dependent on what you grew up with. That said, I've had pizza at a couple of the best New York pizza joints in NYC. I've also had genuine Chicago deep dish pizza. In my opinion, this blows them away. That said, I'm sure there's lots of folks who just find this "OK" and nothing special. I've taken 3 friends/family on 3 separate occasions here and they were all in agreement that this was the best pizza they'd ever had, too. But that's only a small sampling. The pizza is fairly thin crust, but not so flimsy that you can just roll it into a sandwich like NY style. The crust is the best part, but the toppings and ingredients are first rate. It's expensive, but you get a good bit of pizza for your money. A 10" pizza is closer to 12" big and would be enough for two light eaters. A single topping 10" runs around $12. However, they have loads of interesting and curious specialty pizzas with oddball toppings. If you're a beer connoisseur then this is a top spot in Fayetteville. They have a huge beer selection. The ambience is, well, kind of loud. It's very much a college-themed restaurant with psychedelic colors/decorations and a a constant cacophony droning on. Not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner, but hey, it's pizza, not French cuisine. There's a nice outdoor area which can be covered, and there's regularly live music on weekends. This is a special treat I get about once a month or so. It's expensive to be much more frequent.

Trivia nights are fun, especially if you have a large group that can help answer questions. The crust is filling, but that's not such a bad thing cause you can split a pizza with more people. My favorite so far is the Caesar-Caesar pizza which is pretty much a caesar salad on top of a pizza. Sounds crazy, but it's more of a crazy-awesome. Obviously if you avoid caesar salads like the plague then you'll probably want to skip this one. I look forward to trying one of their calzones next.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
