Burrito grande was fantastic. Tortillas are awesome. Service was a bit slow but in fairness they were busy. I have had better margaritas, salsa was not my favorite and it was a bit noisy, but overall a very good experience. A good addition to the NWA food scene. We Will visit again.

Terribly slow service, could rarely get a server's attention, food was awful. This is off our list of local fare.

Excellent food, , huge portions, attentive service. I've had the tacos al carbon (both steak and chicken), which were awesome. The chips and salsa they serve before your meal are perfect-- thin, crispy chips and two different salsas. I have to stop myself from filling up on the chips to leave room for the food! Really great lunch specials-- big portions for a few bucks. Definitely one of Fayetteville's Mexican gems.

This place has the best service of any restaurant I have ever been to. The waiters were really on top of everything. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We have found our new favorite Mexican place!

This is top notch Mexican food. Not 100% authentic, but a nice big traditional menu with a lot of dishes you won't find around at other places. I've eaten here 6 or 7 times, and I have not had a bad experience. my only complaints if I must is the Tres Leches Cake was a little stale or old, and the Margaritas are not that good, but not too bad as I usually drink 3 or 4.

Very Good Mexican food. About 10billion different choices for food. Very cheap and a nice decor. The brightness of the bathroom was a bit shocking considering how dark the restaurant was but I'm not complaining. Very clean and incredibly polite staff. We'll be back.

Great Mexican food! Every time we go it is packed and for good reason. The food is always good, fast, and cheap...how I like my Mexican :)

If this is the best Mexican restaurant in Fayetteville I'd hate to try the other ones. Maybe our expectations were too high considering we just moved here from LA and are used to really tasty Mexican food. The service was good. We liked the 3 different types of salsa they bring out and we got refills on both salsa and chips without ever asking. The food however was mediocre at best. If you like your food bland and swimming in melted cheese this is the place for you.

Consistently good food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. Their chips are always hot and fresh and the salsa selection is good. I love their seafood enchiladas and charo beans. The food isn't too heavy for Mexican, not too much cheese but just enough. They have a good selection for vegetarians and the gluten-free.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Northwest Arkansas. We always like local flavors and this is the best by far. The ingredients are very fresh and the service consistently very good. Some favorites ... Chicken / Shrimp Fajitas, Flautas de Pollo, Shrimp Mazatlan, Bean Soup and the salsas (you get 3 different types). If you want good local food, great service at a great price, definitely come here.

This place has good food. Plenty of seating indoors. The fun thing is they deliver a few different sauces to the table with the chips. I like it.

Due to the Razorbacks baseball game being played across the street, we ventured to the original La Hacienda location for dinner the other night. We were expecting a quiet dinner, much the same as the new location on W 15th Street. Were we in for a surprise! We wondered why all the cars were in the parking lot. Were so many people getting their nails done at the nail salon a few doors down? Oh, no. Everyone was at La Hacienda. The place was PACKED and jumping with activity. I had to wonder how all the employees ran back and forth through the crowd without so much as dropping a chip. The service was good with super friendly waitresses. (Better yet, a student's mom works there, so I got a big hug!) The chips and salsa were super and I loved the fact that they brought our the guacamole that went with our entrees right away. They don't even mind if you cheat and eat the guacamole with your chips! (Am I the only person who tries to hide the fact that I'm using my guacamole for the chips instead of the entree?) They had excellent guacamole, by the way, just like the other location. I had requested extra seasoning on my fajitas and they were happy to oblige. They were absolutely delicious. The only reason I've taken off one star in the rating above is that I'd requested corn tortillas. When flour were brought out instead, it took a very long time to get someone's attention. In fact, I had to hold the red, plastic tortilla container high in the air before someone finally looked our way and came to our table. As you can guess, our food had begun to cool by that time, etc. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

First let's start off with their Margaritas. They have the best going as far as Tex Mex restaurants go here in Fayetteville. They are a helluva lot better than LaSquirtcha's. Anyway they have happy hour Monday thru Thursday from 4-8 and that's when the ritas are just 4 bucks. Not a bad deal for frozen or on the rocks. My favorite thing to get there is Tacos Al Carbon. I always get two so I can get both chicken and steak, however during my most recent visit I noticed that they had fish tacos as the special of the day. It was kind of expensive at $9.99 but the meal comes complete with rice and a side salad. I ended up putting the salad, which consisted of pico de gallo and lettuce, on my taco. Overall the meal was great, the margarita was better. I probably wouldn't spend 10 bucks again for three tilapia tacos. The "sides" were ample enough nor tasty enough to warrant such a steep price. I hate when restaurants charge higher prices for fish dishes and serve tilapia. For ten bucks you can go to Walmart and get all of the ingredients used in their entree and feed four people. Trust me, it can be done. Overall, I like this place. I've been coming here for four years now and I think it rates high on the list of places with similar offerings in this area. Check out their patio in the summer time. It's great for just sitting back and enjoying one of their awesome margaritas.

If you like La Huerta, Acambaro or any of the other decent mexican places you should try La Hacienda. It's better! The staff is friendly, service is fast and the food is excellent. The standard dishes are all good but my favorite is Tacos Al Carbon.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
