Alright, so I've been to Grub's several times throughout the years. This is your typical college town burgers and beer joint. There's a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. The burgers are pretty good and never pressed for the sake of cooking them faster. The fries are decent. The salads (wouldn't be my first choice for this kind of a restaurant) are of great serving size. The servers are mostly cute college girls. So why the star off? For one thing, there's a pervasive scent of third-hand smoke--residual cigarette smoke from the evening bar crowd. The stuff you wear going in to this place will most definitely need to be washed afterwards. Otherwise, there are plenty of TVs streaming live sports at all times. There's a large projector screen in the center of the restaurant for feature games, most likely the Razorbacks. Also, Grub's periodically gives a 10% off coupon for your food purchases (alcohol excluded) when you check in on Yelp's mobile app.

Grub's is pretty rough, honestly. Food is mediocre at best, locals only go there for cheap drinks when other places are closed. The service is usually poor as well. I wouldn't recommend it. There are other places in town with better food.

I would not recommend if you have graduated college. We came here on game day and had multiple issues. Grubs has 30+ TVs and refused to put ONE tv on the #2 auburn vs #3 Mississippi state game since Arkansas was playing. This is a great bar if you like to spend the majority of the game in the bathroom line. Out of 3 stalls in the women's restroom, one was out of order and one had the toilet seat on the floor. The issue was brought up to the manager and nothing was done. Also, the AC vent was molded and dripping nasty water on girls as they stood in line. The men's restroom line was extremely long since only one urinal was open because someone puked in the other and also was not cleaned after being discussed with management. Our server was great but the rest of the experience was terrible

I've been to this restaurant many times and I've had both good and bad experiences. I'm not a big fan of inconsistency in food quality or service so I don't go back on my own fruition. Most of the service is fair but some isn't very good at all. The location requires paid parking for the majority of their business hours. The parking isn't very close, so there is a street you walk across to access the front entrance. This business fills up with a young preppy/greek crowd in the late hours so expect it to be crowded, loud, and without class. The drink specials are pretty good and they have a great happy hour. The food is mediocre at best. Some of it is pretty good and the rest isn't worth ordering. Most of the sides are not good. Some of the starters are decent. The good news is that they have plenty on TV's to keep your attention off of the crowds, spotty service, and mediocre food.

Grubs is a great college town sports bar! Great atmosphere and good food/ drink specials. On Tuesdays they'd have trivia night which is a lot of fun and a two for 10 burger plus two drinks! What a great deal!! It seems to be a bit dirty every time I come in which is why I gave it only 4 stars but other than that this place is pretty awesome.

Really Cheap beer specials but our pitcher had mildew at the bottom of it. Also our pasta was disgusting. Thankfully the manager and server were friendly and very nice about it. I would return for the drink specials but probably not the food. It was a good sports bar atmosphere until the sorority girls showed up and were being the loudest bunch of Woo girls I've ever heard. I had to leave shortly after that. I might give grubs a second shot but not anytime soon.

Mmm, not so good. The food was good enough, but we went because kids eat free on Wednesday, with the one catch that the kids don't eat free. The menu says "Kids eat free!" then "Does not include drink". Ok, no big deal, the kids will just have waters. That'll be $2.29. In other words, you pay $2.29 per child whether you get a drink or not. In other words, "Kid's eat for just $2.29!" This is not stated anywhere on the menu. To the waitress's credit, she did mention it before we ordered, but we were already committed by then. Big time false advertising to get us in the door. Bad PR. A few other things that sucked: - They got my beer order wrong (but fixed that). - The high chair did not buckle. That there is a safety issue. - We both ordered sandwiches, but only Sarah got a pickle. I want a pickle. - There was some other stuff that sucked but these were the worst of the offenses. We've just started experimenting with the whole Kids Eat Free thing and there are lots of other options out there for that. I think we'll move on to one if those and save Grubs for when we just want to watch a game and drink some beers.

Great place, right off Dickson Street, to get a burger and beer. Lots of TVs in this place to catch the game too. Overall, great sports bar. The burgers are damn good. Highly recommend. Only warning is watch the crowds. You may be waiting a while to get in before and after Hogs games.

Sports bar with restaurant on the side. They serve a variety of burgers and have really good cheese fries (the more unhealthy, the better, right?). When the restaurant closes down and bar takes over this is frat central. Cheap beer calls their name and they can't resist.

I love Grub's. The burgers can't be beat, love the fries and fry dip, and the margaritas are pretty darn good too. Not sure if they still do it, but beat the clock is fun as well, with well drink specials increasing a dollar every hour. Seriously, if you're craving a great burger, go here.

The service was friendly and attentive. The pitcher of beer and mugs were ice cold and refreshing. The food was terrible. We got there about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed but they said the kitchen was open until ten. So if your kitchen is open it is expected the food will be as good as it is at 7. If the cook doesn't want to make decent food that close to the kitchen closing then just be honest and say the kitchen closed early or even have a very limited menu. We didn't order anything complex; beef tacos. The little dab of meat on the ice cold flour tortilla tasted like some burned meat they dug out of the trash. Too bad the cook doesn't have the same dedication to customer service as the wait staff. Come here for the beer. Skip the lousy food.

Just moved to Fayetteville from Oregon for work and Grub's was the first bar I went to. Been here twice now and am starting to become a fan. The food is pretty awesome. Had a burger and was introduced to this amazing food called pizza dip! My friends also ordered some cheese fries (which comes with a lot more than just cheese). I like how every night they have drink specials. I'm quite the fan of the $1.25 beers until 10 every night! Plus having the college crowd around makes for some good scenery.
(4)Ryan J.
I like to start my nights here because they have decent drink prices/specials. Crowds vary, some nights very fratty, other nights not so much, not that I mind...have had some fun times playing beer pong upstairs.
(5)Jenn D.
Food was pretty good, atmosphere is also good if you're into sports and watching sports...but if not, it might not be worth going to...
(3)R H.
Great food, okay service. Bad atmosphere. So loud that you can't even enjoy your game. 2-3X louder than a BWW or any other common sports bar. We'll be back, but with earplugs. and a handful of xanex.

This is a great sports bar with a bazillion television screens playing numerous NFL games on a Sunday afternoon. The food is decent too. The barbeque chicken nachos hit the spot! :) Glancing at other reviews, I can attest that I've also heard this is pretty much a college bar and hangout in the evenings. I'm too old to deal with that scene anymore. However, on my Sunday afternoon visit, I noticed many families dining there and it seemed like a typical restaurant scene.

Great burgers, good atmosphere, good drink specials, and a nice patio.

Drank here 8/5/10 It should be noted here that this is only a review of Grub's as a drinking establishment, my party and i were there well after the close of the kitchen. Here's the thing... I'm 27. I'm well past my days of the fraternity party, or the trip to the college bar packin' em in shoulder to shoulder and slinging cheap longnecks at them. when i was 21, i would have LOVED this place. Its big, so there are tons of people, a patio for smoking (i smoked the occasional cigarette in my misspent youth), lots of girls in outfits that would not be approved by their local pastor, and most importantly, cheap ass beer served cold. In fact, other than the townie karaoke pub i damn near lived in for part of undergrad, Grub's probably would have been my favorite bar as a young undergrad. But now? I'm an old 27. The crowds, the rowdy frat guys, the noise, and general chaos just don't appeal to me anymore. Its not that I can't party like that anymore, i just don't want to. the bartender i ordered my one beer here from was friendly, if over worked, and the Budweiser was both cold and cheap. But i like micro-brews. I like good conversation in a place where i can hear myself think, let alone someone else speak. I like a good waitress and not having to fight my way through a crowd to get to a bar so busy that you feel bad for the bartenders if you order anything but beer. I like not feeling like i need to keep my head on a swivel for a guy who's had 3 too many and is looking to start trouble. And that place that i like? that's not grub's. If you're young and looking for the crazy place to party, by all means, i encourage you to go there. The girls were cute and the drink specials were really great. If you want something quieter with a strong beer selection, i recommend Sideways. Now, all that said, i'm told that the food at Grub's is outstanding, so i will be back at some point to review it as a restaurant. I hope that experience is a little more to my liking. But for now, its 3 stars and a nod to my crazy undergrad days.

Grubs has a great happy hour and a pleasant, spacious patio. I've spent many evenings here, hanging out with a group of friends. The food is not always great, but it's also never been bad. The burgers are usually really tasty and are definitely of the huge and greasy variety (in a good way - sometimes you just need a big, unhealthy burger), with a lot of different options for toppings. The waitstaff are usually pretty attentive, but expect slower service on weekends when it's busy. All in all, reasonable prices for decent food and nice place to hang out.
(4)Chris L.
Burgers are good, the french fry dipping sauce is awesome. The patio is so-so, the inside is dark and generally dirty once the college drinking crowd comes out, which packs the place.
(3)Laura G.
The buffalo chicken sandwich is massive and really delicious. The drink specials are usually pretty sweet. But be prepared to deal with lots of frat guys on any given night.
