High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Well folks, it's rare I give out 5 stars and even more seldom when I wish there was a 6th to click on. That said, let's talk about some Italian food! This restaurant is a small chain that was started by a charming older gentleman by the name of Albert Luongo. He's relocated himself to Eureka Springs and has even more recently opened up a location of his italian eating place here in Fayetteville. Where to begin? I've actually waited a while before writing this review, and since, I've actually become somewhat of a regular at this place. Let's start with my first visit though, and have a walk down memory lane. As with any new restaurant in town, I was compelled to try this one, despite its less than fancy location/decor. No worries cause I love dives. (they've recently added a new window and some new seating, it's getting better and better) Located right next to Wes' BBQ, it's a great match for off the beaten path winners. I walk in and review the menu and am greeted by Mr. Luongo himself, who proceeds to walk me through the menu. WHOA WAIT A SECOND. Did I just read this right? Chicago beef sandwich!?!? Yep. Mr. Luongo assured me this was real, even after my explanation that I've never had a genuine Chicago Beef sandwich anywhere other than Chicago. (slow roasted seasoned beef shaved thin, cooked in au jus, topped with mozzarella, grilled peppers and onions) He said I wouldn't be disappointed...and I wasn't. Boy howdy. This was the genuine article, and they even add pepperoni in the "Torpedo" version of the sandwich...and is it huge! For a measly 7 simoleons you can have one of the, hands down, best and biggest hot sandwiches in town. I could talk about it all day, but I won't. On to other things. In my returning visits I've had the calzone, antipasto, PIZZA (very awesome), lasagna, spaghetti, meatball sandwich, turkey sandwich, pesto veggie sandwich, pizza bread, canoli, and tiramisu. None of which has done anything but impress me on their presentation, attention to details, freshness of ingredients and always served with a smile. They also have specials on the weekend that tend to be more stereotypical Italian fare (ie. Chicken Marsala, etc)...beef on Friday, chicken on Saturday. They always sound fantastic, but I'm methodically working my way through the menu...so perhaps next weekend. Everything is reasonably priced (unlike other Italian places in town that barely know what Italian food tastes like and still charge you out the wazoo ::cough:: Bordinos ::cough:: Olive Garden ::cough:: Noodles ) So with that essay written, in closing...do not pass this place up. It's fast, friendly, and delicious without kicking you in the wallet.

The Italian Geraldi's Sandwich, The Mama Mia Pizza, the prime rib on Friday night, and the next day's prime rib sandwich are all as good as you will find anywhere.

How have I lived here for so long and not eaten here? My friends always tell me how good it is, but with so many favorite place already, and their out of the way location; I am just now trying this Wonderful eatery. I am so happy that my 400th review is a great one. I have so much good to say about this place, I don't really know where to begin. Fresh home made mozzarella is outstanding, as was the meatball. All 3 entrees and 2 apps were delicious. I no longer have a need to go to Tontitown for "old school" traditional southern Italian cuisine. I'd type more, but it would be more of the same. Geraldi's you just gained a new regular. Bravo!

This place is off the hook. I'm living in Arkansas but originally from California and spoiled by a history of eating good pizza. I tried the the Mama Mia and it is the best pizza I've had in Arkansas hands down! Had the mushroom ravioli appetizer, great. The garlic bread was great. Service was great. This place is off the path a bit, but definitely worth it. If you want some good pizza, search over.

Top line - really good food in a relax atmosphere with outstanding service. Had dinner here recently, and it did not disappoint. Geraldi's is an excellent Italian restaurant near downtown fayetteville. Good was very tasty, we had the garlic bread, lasagna, and calzone, all were super tasty, but the star of the meal were the meatballs! Service was very attentive and very friendly. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for some good food!!

You get what you pay for and want at Geraldi's. Everything on the menu is good. You get plenty of food so you don't leave hungry. The pizza is the best in town. The pasta is outstanding. No one else around makes better meatballs. In addition to that, there is a good selection of beer and wine. The owner is usually on site and is very attentive. He takes pride in his restaurant. It's also one of the few places that has prime rib on Fridays. Get there early though because it's so good everyone has gobbled it up if you get there for late dinner. Call ahead and ask about that if in doubt. It's not a fancy place and the parking can be a little tight but I have always found a spot to park. I highly recommend Geraldi's.

First time I have been here even though I have lived in Fayetteville for 20 years. Great experience. Don't let the outside fool you, this is a great place to eat.

  • Thamizhachi ..

Super garlic breads and Mediterranean pasta.. The olive oil they use is so aromatic and comforting.. The pizza portions are huge and loaded with toppings.. They could have pasta options that include a lot of veggies..Maybe that is not an authentic Italian way of making it, but the diet-freak in me would love it...

    Pesto veggie sandwich is magical.

Pretty decent New York Style pizza. Haven't tried the pastas since the pizza is so good. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive.

We didn't mean show up on Valentines day, but there we were. Service and food exceptional as always. We got a rose and a chocolate covered strawberry. Pesto and Mediterranean Pesto is consistently excellent !! Garlic bread amazing. Salad always good even tho I just loathe iceberg lettuce. Family oriented yet a great date night place as well. I consider this my 'go to' Italian restaurant, reasonable pricing, consistent, just dang good food!!

  • Lan N.

Pizza Hut is better. Or you could get Totino's at Walmart for a little over $1, and it would not only be tastier, but less caloric. All our food is swimming in oil: garlic bread (sans garlic, only butter), Mediterranean pasta (past al dente and underseasoned, sitting pretty on a pool of olive oil) , and white pizza (dripping with grease). They were somehow voted best overall pizza in the area, so let's talk pizza. Crust: on the thicker side. And not the thick with a nice slightly charred outside and a soft chewy inside. Average quality at best. Cheese: too much can be a bad thing here. Just not the right cheese to crust ratio. Service was good. We were told that they recently started making their own mozzarella for their margherita pizza, but are thinking of using it for all the pizzas. Overall, it's not awful pizza, but with all the other good places to eat in town, I regretted missing out on them for this.

Never been disappointed. Whether it's the pasta dishes or the staple pizza, this place is a go-to in Fayetteville! Consistent smiles and fast service from the staff make this place a favorite...it's a hidden gem!

The best pizza in Northwest Arkansas. Excellent service. One of the truly great places in the area to eat.

Great food. Awesome manager. Live right across the street at Eco and all the tenants love this place. If you go during the busiest time of the day sometimes it takes awhile (but what restaurant doesn't - with the exception of fast food). Definitely recommend the white pizza with added artichoke hearts and the garlic bread.

Our go to Italian spot in Fayetteville. Every dish I've had is tasty but maybe a little over sauced. Though I like the sauce. Bread is great and you get plenty of it. Pizza is very good as well. Parking is the only negative.

Phenomenal restaurant. My colleagues and I often walk over from the UA business building to this place for lunch. There is literally nothing on the menu that we don't like. In particular, Geraldi's makes absolutely wonderful hot sandwiches. The portions are great value for the price. They also provide complimentary garlic bread that is just to die for - literally, because they're heavily flavored with butter and spices. But one thing that trumps all their other offering is their tiramisu. I'm a huge fan of big and bold flavors that get in your face. Their tiramisu is drenched with coffee liqueur that eating one is as good as drinking a couple of shots of Bailey's Irish Cream. The marscarpone cheese is sweetened just right, and the sponge cake layer at the bottom soaks up both the creamy and coffee goodness. Simply divine. Highly recommended.

Geraldi's is a neighborhood favorite and a hidden gem of Fayetteville. The first time I went I ordered the pesto spaghetti and wasn't overly impressed. But boy does the pizza make up for it! The Garlic Geraldi is definitely my favorite - thin NY style, with a nice blend of tomato, garlic, and lots of cheese. And not to mention the portions are huge.

  • Kalli V.

We just moved here and are trying out all the pizza. This place is our favorite. The pizza was kind of new york stye, the mushrooms were fresh and sliced thin. We got a salad to split that came with garlic bread and the bread was awesome, too. On our way out we split a chocolate cookie and even that was great! And try the basil beer from Tanglewood -- it's different. The dining area has a casual, homey atmosphere --it's a little dark and divey, just how we like it. The wait staff all work together and then split the tips. You'll pay upfront after you're finished.

We ate here before a Razorback game. Service was good and friendly. Food was very good--we had the Margherita pizza and it was the best we've ever had. Staff was friendly.

Easily the best pizza in Fayetteville. I ordered the Mamma Mia pizza to go. Very rustic new York style pizza. Crust is thinner but not cracker like unlike some places I've been to. Pizza usually takes about 25 minutes even when they are busy. Often times you order pizza and can't really tell it pizza by smelling but this pizza was so fragrant and incredibly delicious.

  • Fayetteville E.

My go-to spot for delicious pizza and italian sandwiches. Prices are affordable, and the waitstaff is always friendly. Parking is an issue during busy times, but worth the hassle.

  • Kaaryn S.

This place was mediocre at best. We ordered spaghetti and what we got was comparable to opening a can of Chef Boyardee. It was sickly sweet with very little real "Italian" flavor. The garlic bread was decent but I don't know really if you could call it "garlic" because you could only taste the buttery oil that was slathered on. I would have more just called it "buttered bread" and left it at that. People have been raving about the desserts, while I cannot vouch for the flavor, we didn't order one, I can say that all their desserts were all in a deli case at the front of the restaurant which left much to be desired. We did see a few people who had ordered pizza and it looked pretty good and the guy across from us got a huge plate of lasagna that looked great, so perhaps there is something that can redeem this restaurant. May try it again and have something else. With all the great reviews, there has to be something that is better than canned marinara sauce.

  • Shannon R.

Reviewing this restaurant again. Pizza is the best pie in town. Service is some of the worst. Waitresses look like they've no clue about the order in which service is supposed to take place. Waters, menus, wine, order, bread, food. Not menus, waters, order, wine/food. I complain about the service because I brought three friends and family members here for dinner last Monday. We ordered a bottle of wine, but it was not brought to us until our pizza was on its way out. The girls even started mopping the empty side of the restauraunt before we got anything but water (and this was when the other side had 4 tables!) To add, we got the stink-eye as we attempted to finish the bottle on full bellies. Not to mention several other visits when I waited a good 20 minutes to even get a menu. Waitresses of Geraldis: if you want your patrons to be quick and friendly, the pace and attitude starts with you! I'll be getting take out from now on...more pizza, less attitude.

Do NOT go for lunch if you only have an hour. My girlfriend and I went for lunch and we were greeted by Albert Luongo. He walked us through the menu and then left while we decided what we wanted. It wasn't busy, only 2 other couples there. Another older man walked in who must have been friends with Mr. Luongo since they sat across from us and talked for 25 minutes. After sitting there the whole time watching them talk and getting no service we almost walked out. He finally realized he had forgotten us, and we told him we were in a hurry so we were thinking about leaving. He assured us we would get our food in 5-10 minutes and I heard him tell the cook our order. It was another 25 minutes before we got our food that cost $25. Thankfully it was a slow day at work, but I will not be going back there for lunch ever again. Having said that, I don't like giving it only 1 star, especially since I've heard great things, so I hope to return and have a better experience. I will post again after another go.

First visit tonight with my dad. We arrived late on Monday and they were about to lock the doors to restrict more customers tonight, but were kind enough to let us in. We ordered a large pizza and it was delicious, especially the crust! Good size, plenty of serving. We had enough for both of us to have an extra meal at home! Since we were full we didn't spring for dessert this time, but maybe next time. Service was excellent. The waiter was very personable, which really added to the pleasure of our dining experience. He could tell we liked to talk and even pulled up a chair several times so we could have a great time chatting with him before the pizza was ready. Beer and wine, by the way, and the waiter told us about their great prime rib on Fridays. I'm ready to go back!

One of my favorite places in town. When I first discovered this place I had lunch here 3 times the first week. It is THAT good. The people that work there are all friendly and it is a great place to have lunch or dinner. It's not fancy by any means, but the food makes up for any lack of ambiance. I have tried just about everything on the menu I think. The Italian Sausage sandwich is awesome. The Chicago Beef really taste like Chicago Beef! They have a Torpedo, which is a Chicago Beef with Pepperoni (one of my fave's) The Meatball sandwich is awesome (MESSY!) too. My better half swears by the Italian Geraldi sandwich too. Probably the absolute BEST thing about the sandwiches is the bread. They have it made locally every day and it is the best Italian bread I have had around here period. (If you ask nice they will sell you a loaf (about 2-1/2 FEET of pure bread heaven) for a couple of bucks at the counter) I swing by and pick up bread to take home often. They also have really really good pizza. I am hooked on the Mama Mia (Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Meatball, Mushrooms, Black Olives and CHEESE!) but I have never had a bad pizza from here so.... I pick up to-go pizzas here often and they are always good. The crust is a nice thin, hand tossed that isn't greasy and has a great flavor. Give these guys a try. There is a REASON you can't get a parking spot here at lunch.

Geraldi's is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is always simple, well prepared and flavorful. The pizza is as close as you can get to my favorite NYC pizza, with thin crust and delicious, fresh toppings. The calzone is huge and absolutely wonderful. The weekend specials (on Fridays and Saturdays) are great - lots of food for a good price. My husband and I order the special and split it. The sandwiches are great, the spaghetti is great, the meatballs (especially on pizza) are wonderful. I've never ordered anything I haven't liked. This is by no means fancy food. It's just good, solid dishes made with fresh ingredients by someone who knows what they're doing in the kitchen. I understand that there were some issues with people having to wait a long time for their food or for their order to be taken, but honestly, I've been several times and they seem to have realized that it was an issue and are taking steps to make sure everyone gets good service. The waitstaff are very friendly, regardless and are happy to answer questions about the menu.

I like Geraldi's! Their pastas are nice (if a little bland) and they have a good beer selection. Their pizza is marvelous. The service is really friendly, but a little bumbling. If it wasn't for the sometimes-terrible service, I'd give it a five. All the staff is friendly, but they are not always on their game, service-wise. I don't think the soda fountain is self-serve, but you might as well do that if you ever want a refill.

Hey, everyone. Its your friendly neighborhood fat boy and food critic. Geraldi's: believe the hype. I dropped in for a late saturday lunch, and was highly impressed. I had a meatball sandwich, and on a whim, ordered garlic bread to start. Both choices were excellent, and both for the same reason. The bread at Geraldi's is magnificent. Its a house recipe that a local bakery produces for them, and its some of the best italian bread i've ever had. The exterior is crisp and the interior is light and airy. The meatball sandwich also had the benefit of not being over sauced. So often, you order a meatball, and it comes drenched in red sauce, which is nice, if all you want to taste is the sauce. But in this sandwich, the sauce and the mozz were complimentary, instead of overpowering, allowing the flavor of the meatballs to be at the forefront. They were delicious. seasoned nicely, with a great texture, they made a great sandwich, and i can easily see them as an awesome pizza topping. Next time i go, i'll be ordering pizza, and if its as good as my sandwich, I'll be happy to anoint a new pizza king in the 'ville!

  • Michael W.

Loved this place! I've had the pepperoni supreme and the polynesian. Crust is just right. Not too thick and not as thin as a cracker. Nice light dusting of cornmeal on the bottom and the sauce is not overwhelming. Great place.
