Decent place. It's typical "Dickson St." mid range fare. Everything we had was good, but nothing was great. We've had a few of their menu items and we leave full and content each time. There is a lot of potential here and we will be back to try and tap it.

My boyfriend and I are locals here. We love Farrell's. Great for watching sports. Their sliders and crab cakes are to die for! I only wish they had more craft IPAs on tap. Other than that, love this place! Its a must for out of town peeps AND locals. Try the sliders or the crab cakes-- seriously.

I am honestly surprised this place doesn't get more business. It is in a prime location, and their food is of great quality. I recommend getting a chicken club. It also has a better beer selection than nearly any bar in Fayetteville. Food is great, beer selection is great, it has ample space. Can't ask for much more!

So we were looking to grab a burger whilst in Fayetteville and we were led to Farrell's. The place is a pretty cool sports bar, pretty wide open and like most good sports bars, very loud and covered with TVs. We were able to snag a comfy booth in the back and then took some time to look over the menu. They have many good options and a nice selection of beer too. Eventually I went with the Hangover burger. For me, a fried egg on a burger is almost impossible to pass up, my kryptonite. But this...it was different. Bacon. Egg. Hash browns. Cheese. A thick, seasoned, flavorful patty. Damn, totally awesome. After my first bite I said aloud, in my best Jules from Pulp Fiction impression, "THAT IS A TASTY BURGER!" And it was. Oh and the bun is buttered and grilled on the flat top to round things out. Literally the perfect combination of burger for those looking for an all-in-one burger, or as it's name denotes, a hangover cure. The hash brown patty really seals the deal, never seen one served on a burger. The burger patty had a great flavor to it, they have to have a nice seasoning they add to the mix before grilling these up. Definitely a top burger experience for me and should I be around Fayetteville again, I will be stopping by to try some of their other creations. Appease Jules and have a tasty burger.

My first time at this bar/restaurant. The service was good. I went there with a friend of mine after working out. We ordered chicken wings - a quantity of 18 wings - they were good but we thought the price was a little high $17 for a qty of 18. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich, the chicken was missing from the sandwich. The chicken breast was so small very disappointing. My friend ordered a Phillycheese steak and there was there was a small portion of meat on the sandwich. Both sandwiches were around $13. I was personally disappointed on the portions of the meat on both our sandwiches. I had dinner at Bordino's the night before and it was a pleasant experience. I would not recommend the food at this place or go there again.

Def no better place to watch a game on Dickson. Great staff, delicious food. What else could you ask for?

This place is very fast for lunch. Partly that is because lunch time for this place really isn't very busy. Their food was pretty good. I had their lunch special, with arugula salad, angus slider, and tomato basil soup. The salad was slightly over-dressed. The angus slider was very good. The tomato basil soup was decent. It took about 15 minutes for my entire table to get our food.

Right on Dickson street. It's a popular place with more tv's than you can shake a stick at, pool tables and shuffle board table. The shuffle board table had a bunch of mean looking centenarians posted up, they got rowdy and were thrown out. (Just keep your eyes low and don't talk too loud). Service was good. We had some wings and a couple of salads. The Cobb was huge, and my gf said it was good. I had the mini Cobb which was really really small and some wings which were awesome. The place gets busy, and you feel like you are sitting in the middle of a dance floor, but I still think this place is great. (I was kidding about the old people posted up at the shuffle board table).

The venue is pretty good but the food and drinks are over priced. Service is not good and the bartenders should consider new professions. They offer free pool on a horrible table that seems to be an afterthought to the program of the space. It might be okay for shooting drunk or with a beginner but the table is in need of attention. The menus are very nasty and should be replaced. I had the mini crab cakes since they were highly recommended but they were all bread filler and very little crab meat. I decided to stop at the starter section of the menu and find another place to eat.

This is by far the best sports bar in Northwest Arkansas. 35 beers on tap, a huge projection screen for games, and free pool make for a great environment created by Tim Farrell.
(5)DANE E.
A place for unpretentious grownups on Dickson street. Quality food, good beer/liquor selection, and pretty good service.
(4)Nathan W.
The food far-exceeded my expectations. The service, however, was less than stellar. From ordering the appetizers to receiving our entrees took 75 minutes. While our server was nice, she was far, far too busy to provide decent service.

Made a quick trip to Fayetteville from Tulsa - only a couple of hours away, tops - for a Friday night/pre-Valentine's Day stay at a B&B. Found Dickson Street Inn, an older Victorian style home sitting right on Dickson Street. More about that in another review. Anyway, being right there - and for those not familiar with Fayetteville, Dickson Street is just off the southeast corner of campus of the University of Arkansas, and is THE party/nightlife destination in Fayetteville. We walked up and down both sides of the street looking for a place to grab 'dinner,' which for us was going to be some wine and some 'bar food' appetizers. So, we decided on Farrell's. We were there a little early for a Friday night, around 6:30 or 7:00. Still a pretty good crowd on hand. No problem getting a table, though. Waitress was nice, and made a wine suggestion for us, which turned out just right. We shared a spinach dip appetizer, with pita bread. then ordered the crab cakes appetizer. The spinach dip was excellent! good portion size, too, for an appetizer. The crab cakes were worth writing home about, but there were only two. Prices were fine, about what we expected, but still expected more than two crab cakes for the price. Lots of well-situated TVs for the sports crowd. Overall, we had a really good time (it absolutely filled up by the time we left, a little over an hour later), and definitely will make a repeat visit.

Really good food and they show good sports. Can't go wrong. Decent beer selection.

Went here last night for a late dinner, well tried to go at least. Checked online beforehand at their hours and then left for dinner. We paid $5 to park only to walk through the pouring rain to find a dark building with locked doors. The posted hours clearly stated they were open and no one answered the phone when we called from outside. A waste of a trip.

New spot makes an excellent Dickson Street addition. As a lifelong local, I appreciate a diverse pub with a versatile menu AND $2 Miller Lite drafts... a great deal on Dickson Street these days! Part sportsbar with enough TVs to play ALL the New Years Day bowlgames, one part pub with tables and booths for engaged conversation. The staff has really been attentive and friendly, the menu is solid burgers and pub grub til 5 when the entrees kick in. I'd say Farrells Lounge will become and excellent "go-to" spot for locals and visitors.

Also went here for the AR - Bama football game, but got there before the game and watched the whole game there (didn't even have to wait 5 mins for a table). I'm sure the simple paper menus were for game days to limit the food options and so the good menus don't get trashed. We got cheese fries (pretty good) and the wings that have brown sugar on them (not as good). Game day menus also includes other types of wings, burgers, etc. Not a huge list of food, but all stuff that goes well with a brew and football. There are lots of tvs and a large projector. There's a pool table and a shuffle board table -- both of which are free. There's a variety of seating which includes the full bar, tall tables, low tables, and booths. We had great service the full 4+ hours we were there. It was a great place to watch the football game, but might get more crowded for future games now that it's getting more established. I'm not sure what it's like normally since this was the only time I've been (which is why I only gave it 3 stars). I'd have to go during normal hours to see what it's normally like.

Oh goodness, the Hangover Burger was awesome. Bacon, egg, and hash browns on a burger. Would have been 5 stars if the hash brown wasn't a patty. Great sports bar food, great atmosphere, and better staff. Loved it.
(4)Jeff B.
Great ambiance. More than 30 beers on tap. Inattentive barkeeps, providing service with a grimace -- only after you've resorted to sending up a signal flare to get them to acknowledge your presence... Too bad; I was hoping to love this place. :-/

Stopped off here for lunch on the way to Eureka Springs. Farrell's was one of the few places open in downtown Fayetteville on a Sunday afternoon. The food was good, and filling and the service was attentive. It took about an hour to get our food though due to a large group of UA Students ordering before us. The staff did explain to us the reason for the wait. (They apparently have a small grill in the kitchen.) When we finally got our food they didn't bring my brother's Philly Cheesesteak, because they hadn't held the onions. The Cheesesteak was quickly replaced, and compted. Over all a decent experience, but beware if there is a crowd.

Ok...was in town (from Chicago) for a wedding. Stopped in with a few friends for dinner and drinks. We were not disappointed! We couldn't help ourselves so we ordered some of the bacon mac for an appetizer...it was AMAZING! So delicious! I don't know that I've found mac that good in quite a while! Next up was super cheap beer...yeah, $2 for a bottle of high life. Yeah, yeah, I've been known to drink a high life now and again...don't judge! Plus, at $2 it's a steal of a deal for the "champagne of beers!" If you're more of a beer snob than me, no worries, they have quite an impressive selection on tap and in bottles. Dinner was the "hangover burger" which was out of this world! A crispy hash brown square under a perfectly cooked hamburger patty. Topped with lots of bacon, melted cheese and an egg. YUM! I'm back in town for work this week and though I'm way up in Bella Vista, I might just make the trip to have another delicious burger and side of mac! Well done Farrell's! Oh, also went back later that night with a larger group and played shuffleboard...so much fun!

We regularly go for lunch and have consistently found Farrell's to be good food, at a great price, and with excellent service. The triple lunch specials that include a small sandwich (eg slider, monte cristo), salad (eg iceberg, mixed), and soup (eg potato, tomato) has always been up to our expectations ($8). For a great selection of bottled and draft beers, freshly made bar-food, and friendly service -- this is always one of Dickson Streets best venues for a fun (albeit noisy) business lunch.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to a meeting: big mistake since I had the Hangover Burger which made me crave a nap afterwards. It was delicious, good thing it came with chips and not fries.

Bad food. Good location.

Great selection of beers. Somewhat inventive menu with great food. Beautiful and bright interior. Wonderful service. My wife and I went into Farrell's for the first time last week for lunch. We ordered and split Munster Cheese Fries (delicious and totally decadent) and a Chicken Pesto Sandwich (outstanding, perfectly cooked with great balance from the goat cheese). I would recommend it wholeheartedly and would certainly visit again.

Great place for lunch, food and prices are not bad.

UPDATE: I have gone back to Farrell's a few times since my first time in Sept. 2010 and they have really stepped up their game and have some great food and service here. I'm not sure if they have any sort of happy hour but some good drink specials (read beer) would be nice. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Newly opened as of 9/25/10 when we ate there after the Ark-Bama football game. Great location. Hadn't heard any reviews as it has been open for a few weeks. Had no expectations when we walked in, rather curious than expecting. Somewhat busy and fans were quickly piling in, even Alabama fans which was interesting that they had already heard about it. We were quickly seated at the shakiest table I've ever sat at. When our server came over she handed us white 11" x 8.5" white paper, a word document, as their menu. Most of the paper was blank, as the menu didn't even make it half way down the paper. VERY limited selections and no graphics or presentation whatsoever on this thing. Blank ink on plain white paper, had never been less impressed. Ordered drinks, two draft beers and 4 waters for our group of 4, and the server brought us all back our waters and just one beer. Mine was not brought, but it was a draft beer just like my friends. She then came back over and had the wrong beer, which ended up belonging to the table next to us, this was the first of three times she'd mistake our tables. About 10 minutes later she brought my beer, after me asking why the delay and pointing out that my friends draft beer had been delivered much sooner. I asked why the bartender didn't pour the entire ticket's beer. She had about three excuses for this, which included, "I'm sorry, I'm only 20 so I don't pour the beers" and "I've been here all day." My girlfriend, who was with our group and has been a server for seven years, said that was a complete bullshit excuse and wondered why a restaurant would hire someone under 21 to work at a self-described bar and grill. Atmosphere was wasn't bad, upbeat. Good decor and looked like a wide variety of beers on tap. Pool table and shuffleboard, tons of TVs. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak, which I never do but the menu was extremely limited like I mentioned, I've never been to Philly but it wasn't bad. Little too much cheese though and some parts of the meat was gristly. I just added this place onto yelp as it wasn't already, and when I found their website. The menu they list on there is MUCH more extensive than the word doc we were given as our menu. It's almost as if the printer ran out of ink on our menu. So if we would've had the menu from the website, this place would've probably gotten 3 stars.

Super gastropub on Dickson with a fantastic mix of sports and solid menu. There's not a bad seat in the house to watch a game and there's a good big game atmosphere without the intense college feel of Grubs (appropriate for certain games in it's own right). Impressive draught selection and limited but quality menu.

We had heard about Farrell's from a friend and thought we'd stop in for an easygoing Saturday lunch. I was expecting greasy and boring bar food, wow, was I surprised. Instead, we found a simple but sophisticated menu of items from truffle bacon fries ( a little too salty but delish), sliders (with Gruyère, yum) and a beautiful field greens salad. With an assortment of over 30 types of beer on draft, you can't go wrong here. They have so many TVs too, this would also be an awesome place to watch a sports game.
(4)Zach B.
Your ultimate sports bar. Go here for the game and a beer. The food is great too
(5)Keith W.
So far, I'm loving this place. Been a few times. Pan seared chicken is great. The hangover burger is a local favorite. Pool, shuffleboard, tv's everywhere. Great atmosphere. Enjoy.
(4)Jeff C.
Delicious, unique pub food in a classy, friendly sports bar setting. Will definitely go back and bring friends.
(4)Justin U.
Farrell's is a great spot on Dickson Street (and in Fayetteville) for someone looking for a more upscale bar. The seating arrangement inside is unique and there are at least 25 beers on tap (Kirin, Abita, a run of Irish Beers and some more craft beers). The food is very good and unique for the area. The only downfall I saw was the food was a bit overpriced for the area, mainly because the portion size was so small. However, I will definitely head back.
(4)B B.
Came here last night with my girlfriends on a whim to get out of town. It was rather slow as expected on a Monday night, although it was the busiest place on Dickson. Bartender was great $5 jack and coke and it was stiff! Also, the atmosphere was trendy and very clean, loved it!
(5)Rob G.
I want to be clear at the top, why i gave Farrell's five stars. Its not simply for the food or drinks, which are great, but something a bit more important. For a town that claims to be artsy and cultural, the food scene here, as a scene, is sorely lacking. That's not to say there aren't great restaurants here, there are. Herman's is an institution, and Mamma Dean's puts out one of the best plates of food i've ever eaten, to name but two. But very few people are doing anything, well, interesting here. Farrell's, along with a couple other outposts, is trying to change that. To NWA diners who have no experience with truly modern dining, this can be, well, confusing. On a recent visit, a woman in the booth behind me was stunned when she got her bill and realized that french fries were extra. She even made a point of calling over the manager to argue with him about it. Its not like this was hidden information, sprung on her at literally the last minute. Its printed on the menu in big bold letters. But folks, you are not at Chili's when you step into Farrell's. And lets talk about the menu itself, for a second. I don't mean the dishes on it, I mean the actual thing that the server hands you. Yes. Its white paper, maybe tucked into a lamante sleeve. Some of the reviewers here find that weird, or cheap. Its certainly not weird, many of the best meals of my life have been ordered off of menus of a similar style. It is, however, cheap, because it has to be. Why? Because the menu changes frequently. Fancy menus, professionally printed, would get just a bit expensive when they have to be replaced over and over again. And change, ladies and gentlemen, is good. Sure, there are great restaurants that have a menu that hasn't changed in 20 years (the aforementioned Herman's, for instance), and you can get a great meal there. But rarely, if ever, will you find anything new, anything innovative, or anything that takes advantage of local and regional ingredients. Chef William McCormick (full disclosure: I know him socially) runs a small, tight kitchen, and puts out consistently great dishes. Dishes you aren't likely to find anywhere else in town. He focuses on local and regional ingredients, using them to build and contrast flavors. The single best thing i've had there was a duck confit crepe around Valentines day. Don't know if it will make its way back onto the day to day menu, but if you see it, its an app or a second course, and its fantastic. As for a regular player, the bleu cheese burger is top notch. It might be my favorite burger in town, actually. I take mine cooked medium, and it has never come out under or overcooked... Special note here to reviewer "Brooks.": You are an idiot. The person you argued with was a professional cook. Someone who is skilled in, you guessed it, cooking. Someone who stands in a small, hot kitchen, hour after hour, knocking out consistently great plates of food. The same thing, at top quality, every time. And yes, they are hot, and sweaty, and sometimes greasy and messy. You know why? THEY WORK IN FRIGGIN KITCHENS! The real world is not food network. And oh by the way, unless i miss my guess, when he brought over that picture, it proved that you were wrong, didn't it? anyway, the bleu burger is served with a spring mix, a house made fig jam, roasted onions, and bleu cheese. its simple, its clean, and its delicious. The sweet fig jam balances the sharp cheese, the onions provide a textural compliment to the burger, which is always juicy and properly seasoned. The spring mix adds just a hint of peppery bitterness to the mix. Together, its a combination of savory and just a bit of sweet that makes for something off the path of the common burger. Oh, and get the fries. GET THE FRIES. They are arguably the best in town, and a reason to eat at Farrell's all on their own. The prices are very reasonable, particularly for the quality. In addition to great food, Farrell's has a fully stocked bar, and one of the best tap walls on Dickson. Lots and lots of good quality beer choices, a trend i'm happy to see on Dickson. Farrell's is a great addition to Dickson street, and to the dining options in NWA. Yes, the forward thinking, ever-changing concept can be confusing, and even off-putting to some, but the insistence on fresh ingredients, good flavors, great execution are a god send to a food scene nearly devoid of modern thinking. That, along with a cold beer, makes for a great meal.

Horrible. Never been treated so rudely by a manager before. Will never go back. I sent back my burger because it was undercooked for medium well. The waitress told me that it was taking a long time because they had to make a new one since I had cut it in half.. um... I would hope you would make a new one! The second burger was pinker than the first, little bloody, wasn't even hot in the middle. I sent this back as well. By then, everyone else was done eating and I was ready to leave and get something somewhere else. When our check came, my burger (which i never took one bite of .. nor one fancy french fry) was on the check. We had to ask for the waitress to send out the manager. The guy that came out was obviously the cook... shirt full of food, greasy messy hair and otherwise gross looking who came out to argue with us about whether or not it was cooked properly. I finally had to tell him flat out that it wasn't cooked right, I didn't eat any of it, and I wasn't paying for it. THEN this guy had the audacity (and apparently the time in a very packed and busy place) he went online and printed out a picture of a 'medium well' burger to show me... to prove me wrong! are you kidding me?! I have NEVER been treated like that anywhere.. and I've been ordering medium well burgers all my life..and only here was it undercooked. will never ever go back. also way overpriced. don't splurge for the parmesean cheese fries... I sampled one of my friends' and it wasn't worth the extra money for it.
