stopped here on an afternoon of bar hopping with a friend. the front windows are floor to ceiling doors which allows for you to sit pretty much on the street. Great service, delicious drinks- and they made my rum and pineapple devinely. Definitely stop in for a drink if you're on Dickson street.

I go to this place only because it's the only place in the area to get my favorite beer on tap (La Fin Du Monde) beeradvocate.com/beer/pr… . I enjoy drinking it, but I don't enjoy the smoke, the 9.00 per pint, or the mandatory 20% tip they add to the tab for pouring it. It's strange that the states on Tobacco Road have outlawed indoor smoking, yet Fayetteville - such a self-professed bastion of liberalism and forward thinking - still allows it. Regarding "the smoke is not going away," it needs to and any area that still allows people to smoke all over others is way behind the times on this issue. I live in the DC area now and have been to two dozen incredible places with lots of beers on tap like L Fin Du Mond, and not one allows smoking. By the way, Total Wine and More in the DC area sells a four pack of La Fin Du Mond for the same price as this place charges for one beer. The smoky ambience ain't enough for such a price disparity.

I admit it. I'm a beer snob. Give me a great craft beer or give me water (Bud Light). I am a regular at The Flying Saucer and I am super obnoxious about mainstream inferior beer. This place is truly a gem. On Dickson St., in the heart of of college partying, you expect to find cheap drink specials and Jaegermeister shots galore. I was pleasantly surprised to find Brewski's. What a great selection! Not to mention an extremely friendly and knowledgeable bar staff that knew the difference between an IPA and a stout, and steered me in the right direction. Thank you Brewski's, for saving this pretentious beer snob from Budweiser hell. If I'm ever in town again, you can be assured I'm not only coming back, I'm bringing everyone I can with me!

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I've been here several times and always have prompt and helpful service. The smoke is not going away so avoid this place if that is objectionable by you. The beer menu is unbeatable from what I can find and the prices are reasonable.

Service is very poor! The beer selection is mediocre for the area and the atmosphere is typical for Dickson street. There is nothing difficult about putting beer into a pint glass or opening a beer bottle but they seem to have problems doing both. The bartenders could use a shower, shave, and a lesson on quality service. It's a shame there isn't something in that location that's worth spending the time or money. Cheers!

I have been coming to Fayetteville every summer for four years, and always have a great time and enjoy the charming town and friendly locals. It has been the highlight of my summer travels! My last time at Brewskis (my third time there in a week!) completely changed that track record for good: The bartender, in his effort to kick us all out before 2AM (it was not even 1:50 and I had half a beer left which I could easily and calmly have finished in five minutes), decided the best course of action was to aggressively and physically attack me by ripping my drink from my hands as I tried to drink it, spilling it all over my white dress and into my purse in the process. It was a frightening experience, and I have never before had an encounter of that nature. I tried to clean up (purse ruined...) while my friends, all of us loyal Brewskis customers, spoke to the bartender asking to just have a minute to finish the drinks we had all paid for, and his response was "I don't give a shit what you paid for" (I guess this includes all the tips we left him throughout our otherwise fun night?)... By the time we were all out on the street feeling miserable by the ruined night, it still was not yet 2 o'clock. Isn't there a nonviolent way of clearing your bar? Oh wait yes! Go to Maxine's up on Block Street! They are absolutely fantastic. As for Brewskis, stay away!

One of my favorite bars in Fayettville. Great beers and cool atmosphere. The bartenders are really chill and the food is great, plus there is a pool table. I have been in many bars and very few allow smoking indoors. That is pretty cool considering I used to smoke. It gets hot in these parts so this would definitely be a great place to stop by and have a cold drink/bite to eat.

We stopped by for a drink prior to a show at the Walton Arts Center. They had a pretty extensive beer list which was a plus, but it was so smoky...not used to that anymore! The bartenders weren't very friendly either, so not a great impression of this place.

I travel extensively and have never been in a place with such rude bartenders. Even though I understand they have to close at 2am, at 1.50am the guy grabbed my friend's beer out of her hand, as she was trying to finish it, and spilled it all over her, on purpose. Instead of apologizing, he said he "couldn't give a shit if we returned". Not the the customer service I am interested in paying for. Will never go back, expensive beer and very rude staff.

  • Ami V.

The place is a dump, stinky and dirty. On top of that the bartenders are rude. One of them spilled a beer on my friend on purpose! Avoid at all cost!

Fayetteville favorite! Staff is super awesome and more beers on tap than you can handle!

Lots of drink choices on tap, but when you exit you will smell like cigarettes. Not for people that hate cigarette smoke. Best place to smoke a cigarette and have a beer at the same time on Dickson. Music selection is random funny but good depending on when you go.

This was the single most disappointing craft beer experience of life. Maybe I'm exaggerating. But maybe not. I was visiting Fayetteville last week out from California, and my friends can tell you that the only place I was excited to go to was Brewski's. I'd been once before, last November, and I had a great experience. Great beer list (even if the menu was functionally confusing) and an awesome bartender who knew his stuff and complimented me on my beer choice. This is what I like to see in the craft beer community, and I almost always end up chatting it up with people passionate about their craft or their job. But not this time. The bartender on the night I was there literally would not make eye contact with me. Maybe because I'm a young female or maybe he's like this with everyone, but he just wouldn't engage. The bar was less than half full, and the restaurant itself wasn't anywhere near what I'd call crowded. It was like, 8 pm on a Sunday in July in a college town. I mean really. He was flat out rude and disrespectful, walked away as I was asking for a taste of a beer for my friend, and flopped my bill down without so much as a word. I wanted to cry. Surely, I can't expect to chat up every bartender I come across. But I was just so excited. I wanted to ask somebody about local beer, being from out of state, but I thought that this would be the first place to go and it ended up being a total waste of time. Being a server myself, I've never not tipped a fellow industry worker. Except for this jerk. Mellow Mushroom, the new Dickson Social Club, and many liquor stores in town have a semi-comparable selection and much, much better service. Don't bother with Brewski's unless you want to leave feeling completely less-than.

We always make a stop at Brewskis. The huge variety of drafts and bottles is awesome.. but I have never, in any bar I have ever set foot in, have I ever had a waitress take my order and SERVE ME holding my glass mind you with a LIT CIGARETTE... Smoke and ash flying into my drink. I hope she gets fired or at least written up. Where is the health inspector when you need him? I like that a bar can be smoker friendly, but the staff should not be smoking while they are working and there needs to be better ventilation.

Brewski's is great for snagging a beer and people-watching. From the entrance you can spy on anyone from the older folks heading home from events at the Walton Arts Center to girls in Bead-azzled jean skirts stumbling to the Gypsy. Try the rear entrance for frat guys playing pool or the wayward dance party. The worst things about the place are the lumpy booth seats, most of which force you to sit with your knees to the chest for lack of support. The bartenders are pretty swell and the music is, you know, all right.

Brewski's certainly is an experience. I made my responsible chaperons take us here immediately after they mentioned this place had hundreds of beers available. And yes, I can honestly say, they have what appears to be hundreds of beers. Now! Whether or not all of those beers are available...I quickly found out that they are out of many beers, and, apparently, this is a re-acurring problem. But its probably my fault as I have a certain knack for choosing random beers that places are out of. This is not why I hate on Brewskis though, even though I picked at least 5 beers they were out of. I do love the fact that this many import beers can be found on draft and bottle anywhere in rural America though, so, good job Brewskis. *Should a name like "brewskis" be used for a place that serves really nice beers? When I think brewskis, I think of Coors, or Buds or something.... Now, let me air out some shit. Most pressingly, their menu was a constant source of frustration. Of course it won't be pretty trying to list over a couple of hundred beers. I also love beer and also trying to find new beer, so when I order a beer and they are out, it is a big bitch to try and cycle through 3 pages of beers. Also, they use Comic Sans typeface...What's wrong with this? Well...its just dumb looking. But! My biggest complaint is the pricing legend. Seriously. They have symbols-including the signs of the zodiac, in the place of the dollar amounts and you have to flip to the key, or "ledgen" as it is called on the menu, in order to find the price. I'm a poor-ass college kid-I HAVE to know how much stuff costs. This may account for how the tabs can get mysteriously high. Imagine trying to decipher this code after a handful of beers... I, and my party, disliked the music heartily-and we are openminded people. Why is there dancy music that sounds like disco's illegitimate love child with 80s pop? This is all I remember from the tunes. Well, that and those songs lasted forever. We asked about getting it changed and found out it was the owners iPod...sweet! Also, it is smokey in here. That's all I have to say about that... So minus these relatively tedious complaints, this place is pretty OK. I really did have some good beer, once I ordered some that were in stock. They came quickly, and any time we needed something our waitress came in a jiffy. It is a bit pricy, but this seems usual for Fville down town, so whatev.

The local's pub. If you don't mind a little smoke, but love beer - this is the place for you!

i used to frequent this place when i was a student. the food was above average and the beers were interesting and plentiful. i also remember the staff being helpful and fun. however, after visiting again last week after many years i was surprised by a few things. both the bartender and server had permanent frowns on their faces and weren't terribly helpful. i didn't try the food, but i was happy to get an obscure belgian beer i hadn't had in a long while. i would have spent more time enjoying it if not for the clouds and clouds of cigarette smoke. i thought there was a smoking ban?? if so, all of the dickson smokers showed up to hang out at brewski's. it really made my experience unpleasant. i was not looking forward to having to shower and launder my clean clothes again after returning home. boo :-( if i hadn't been so happy to see old friends i would have ventured elsewhere.

I stopped on the way back to the car from the Hog Haus (see review). Pretty decent beer selection. It's no Gingerman or Flying Saucer, but not at all bad for the environs. I had a Uinta Trader's IPA, which was new on tap and new to me as well. According to google, Uinta is out of Salt Lake City and has a 100% wind powered brewery. Very cool, but we're talking about Brewski's and not green breweries. Name: Lame Beer selection: Good to very good Price: Kinda high, $5 for the Uinta Smoky factor: Semi-high but not completely overpowering Ambience: I always like the long narrow bar, and Brewski's has a cool front semi-open section. Friendliness: None noticed. If Brewski's was in my neighborhood and had a non-dorky name, it'd be my local. Four stars minus 0.5 for smokiness and 0.5 for being lack of friendliness.....regulars would get that half point back.

Visited here 8/5/10 This is a sort of odd review, since i didn't order anything, and I didn't drink anything here. It was close to the end of the night, i was with a few friends. We came here from another establishment, and I immediately felt like we were in a good place. The lighting was dim, but not so you couldn't see, there was a wall of taps, comfortable seating, and a good mix of tunes. Brewski's came off as a solid player on Dickson, a place where serious drinks could be found by unserious people. In other words, exactly the sort of place i like to drink in. I'm hoping to make a return visit soon and get a feel for their booze and their service.

Walking along the 'Beale Street' of Arkansas, it can be hard to find a decent establishment that isn't saturated with fist punching frat boys. Brewski's, with it's solid beer selection and big booths, was a welcome surprise. Too bad it was saturated with cigarette smoke.

Impressive selection of brews on tap. Plenty of seating, great wait-staff and bartenders. Fun place.

71 beers on tap. Over 200 bottled. Relaxed and diverse crowd. I've died and gone to heaven. *cough cough* Well yeah, except for that part, it can get quite smokey in here. Other than that, if I still lived in NWA, I'd come here every weekend.

Beer is great. Beer on tap is AWESOME. So a place with something like 100 beers.... It does get crazy smoky at night, but on a nice afternoon when you can kick back, sit up front and people watch... Great place.

My favorite bar in town. Great beer selection, something like 70 beers on tap, I believe. Unfortunately, they shut their kitchen so that they could retain their status as a "smoking" bar. I miss the food! I wouldn't have missed the smoke! The bar staff is top notch. Great tunes!

  • Alured P.

Perhaps the biggest selection I have ever seen in one place. Prices are a bit higher than many other bars but still it is worth it, especially early on in a night of drinking.

Excepting maybe 2 nights a week, Brewski's has, BAR NONE, the best music of any bar in Fayetteville. Bar none. Seriously though: new and old indie rock, a healthy assortment of electronic subgenres, a little dance, a little funk, some hip-hop but nothing that's charted in the last 8 years, and metal and/or country only when they want everyone to go home. Weekends kind of suck because it can get crowded with idiots--WHO GOES TO BREWSKI'S AND ORDERS A COORS LIGHT IN A BOTTLE??!--and a lot of people compain about how expensive your tabs at Brewski's can be (there is something of a mystery algorithm that goes on behind that register), but the value of not having to listen to the Billboard Hot 100 while I drink and talk with my friends matches my tab, every time. Also Monday nights, all draft beers are $3.

Honestly, I've never experienced a bad time here. I've had some awkward times here like when my friend vomited in her hands at the table. Other than that I've had some really good times. Brewski's is that Euro trash bar in the middle of the Ozarks. Don't come here looking for pretense because you won't find it. There are over 70+ brews being served here from all across the globe. Friendly staff, convenient pool table, and little coves to dip off in make this place the right kind of cozy.

  • Don W.

Great place to have a beer and I can almost guarantee that they have it on tap. It's a good place to hang out with friends. They have pool tables and nice seating. It just gets loud, so you have to yell at who your with and they allow smoking. So if you don't smoke, you will be the time you leave whether or not you actually smoked or not (yes it's that bad). But it does help to snag a table at the front. They open the front doors and it helps to keep the air flowing.

This place is a great place to go and kick it on a week night and every now and again on the weekends. If you don't like standing room only type of crowds avoid this place on the weekends. This is one of those bars that people come to on the weekends because it has become one of the trendy places to be.

    (3)
  • Penny M.

Brewski's offers a massive selection of beer on tap, as well as bottled. I love the variety here. The atmosphere varies depending on when you go - week nights are nice and laid back. Weekends are always crowded and way too noisy.

  • William G.

Great beer bar in the heart of the entertainment district near the University. Patrons are super friendly and the beer always fresh and at the perfect temperature. If you're looking for a disco, this certainly isn't it but for a few nice pints with pals, this is your place.

    (4)
  • Dany C.

Brewski's is a fun place to go, especially if you're wanting to find a variety of beers. My only complaint is the cloud of cigarette smoke that nearly chokes me when I go there, but I don't think it would be the same without that cloud of smoke. This is not your typical college kid hangout. A diverse group of people call this place home.
