Oh, Due Amiche, I used to love you. My fondness for the restaurant started to fade one afternoon when I went there with a group of friends. We got the son of the owner as our server, the older one. He seemed to enjoy being as obnoxious as possible, telling us when we would order something that they were out of it or we couldn't get it (yeah, not so funny after doing it 15 times). It was just irritating. I've never really liked the wait staff there but deal with it because the food was good. A few months ago a family member went and had a roach crawl across the table. I dont think I will be going back.

A city which has a Little Italy is a pretty good bet for getting authentic Italian food. Not so this bustling college town of Conway, Arkansas and Due Amiche, the restaurant I ate at tonight. It sits in a small strip mall and looks a little lonely. Except for the occasional pick-order and two girls sitting by the window, the place was empty. I didn't see the day's specials as we walked in so I ordered from the menu. I got the salad..(shudder),,ice berg...once again, like a recurring childhood nightmare, a lone, unripened tomato slice and creamy Italianon top. Are micro-greens that hard to get here? Ordered the pasta-combo, lasagna, manicotti and stuffed shells w/cheese, baked. The tomato sauce was too sweet, no hint of garlic nor oregano..pretty plain. I had a taste of my dining guest's Chicken Tettrazini and the meat tasted formerly frozen. My other guest's plates went mostly untouched. I don't know, there seemed to be a lack of spirit, ambience and kitchen direction although the pizzas being picked up by customers looked good. Perhaps Gordon Ramsey should pay a visit here..hmmm..

Due Amiche is a hidden gem. Located in just another strip mall in a suite that has hosted failed restaurants before it, Due Amiche offers excellent Italian fare at great prices. They offer everything from standard pasta dishes, sandwiches, pizza by the pie or slice, and huge and extremely tasty calzones. They also serve hot and soft rolls that taste like they are made from scratch (they may be). The calzones are my favorite. I can easily make two meals out of one calzone, which costs around $5.00! If you haven't already, I highly recommend giving Due Amiche a try!

my family loves this place! The food is authentic and very good, everytime we go!. The rolls that come with your meal are awesome too. Priced pretty cheap, considering we always have enough left over for lunch the next day!

Due Amiche closed 4 months ago and no other Italian place has opened up in their place. Though Pasta Grill is great, it's also very pricey and the wait sometimes to sit after a reservation can exceed a 30-45 minute wait. Due was great and the price was always affordable. You'll be missed!

Romantic dark resturaunt with good mood music. Service was efficient and polite. Had a pasta sampler from the lunch special menu which included wonderful homemade bread and a large side salad. All 3 pasta samples tasted pretty much the same but very hot with stringy gooey cheese and typical pasta sauce. Price is about the same as a trip to mcdonalds but no screaming kids. Will go back again.

This is the place to go in Conway for Italian food! The portions are large and the staff is so wonderful. They have giant pizzas and calzones that you can order to go. The atmosphere is sort of romantic, very dim with soft lighting. I adore the Lobster Ravioli that they offer, and their pasta tastes homemade! Delicious bread is served before your entree and the salads have an excellent homemade dressing on them. My only qualm with this place is that there is no wine to accompany an excellent meal. Maybe in the future? If you haven't stopped here yet, do so!

Great prices for what you get. Very good food in a family-friendly atmosphere. Pizza's are sized by topping, not inches. A "small" could take care of 4 people. A "large" just means getting more of whatever toppings you've requested.

The food may taste "okay" most of the time but this is one of the most disgusting restaurants I've been to in Conway. It is a very dirty establishment... Ever been able to sneak a peek of the kitchen in the back? You wouldn't eat here if you did.

Conway hidden gem! Crazy affordable and crazy good! You are going to love this place. You have to try the insane Roman Pizza which is a giant calzone pizza. Great for take out or dine in. Relaxed and affordable.

After our visit here approximately a week ago, the first thing I said upon leaving was, "I'm going to have to update my Yelp! review to 5 stars!" They seemed to have stepped up their A-game quite a bit from the past visits we've had. The service was amazing, very helpful, friendly, and definitely going that extra mile. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. It was amazing to say the least! Piping hot, and the Alfredo sauce was rich, buttery & creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. My significant other ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and enjoyed his dish as well. The pricing here is very low and a great value, especially considering that we had to take over half of it home in a to-go box! Our server brought out the to-go boxes without us even having to ask, and wrapped up our rolls so they wouldn't get soggy. I love this place!

Pleasant server. Got a cannoloni and spagetti with meatsauce combo. I was really pleased to FIND the cannoloni since it seems to rarely be offered. When the order arrived (my server admitted they forgot the cannoloni and created the delay) it was not really hot. Plus, the meat sauce was awash with grease. It tasted OK once you got past the esthetics. The cannoloni that I wished to savor was an extreme disappointment. It was COLD and had an off flavor. I normally want to support locals over chain restaurants; here I would say Olive Garden would have been better. But, they don't have cannoloni.

Love their pizza! The small pizza is enough to feed a small army and it's very reasonably priced. Their calzones are awesome too, and HUGE!

they have really good pastas !!! the only thing makes me feel weird is that their pasta dishes always have more ingredients than the pasta itself! awesome services!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
