My daughter and I decided to try this cafe, in our new home of Cabot. We sat at the ice cream bar and were helped by the sweetest young girl. The food was a little over priced. We each had a cheeseburger and fries. While the burger and bun tasted fresh the fries were obviously frozen food. The reason for three instead of five stars are as follows; the giant of a woman with the Betty Boop tattoo who was obviously on the clock but spent all of her time alternating between her cell phone and watching tv, the other waitresses sitting around while our young waitress busted her butt. Honestly if the other waitresses had tried half as hard to be professional this review would have five stars.

We ate dinner here as a group of 5. The service was good. The food was not. The cornbread tasted as though it had been baked at lunch and left as did my friends baked potato. Another friend had a burger which was tasteless. My Monterrey chicken was ok, the green beans tasted liked a second rate just out of the can variety. Not a good experience. We were disappointed. Don't recommend at all.

This place was horrible!!! The food was awful and the only thing they got right was the chicken tenders. Our waiter was excellent though, she deserves a 5 for service.u

I find the food here to be pretty good. We don't get back to our home towns often but always find the food and service here to be consistently good. I like the catfish, chicken and dumplings, the various salads, and a few of the other chicken-centered dishes. If I had to make any complaint at all I would say it's the overall noise level. I'm not sure what causes it since usually it's not terribly crowded but the ambient noise is somehow loud.

I love to eat. I look for the best in everyone. I try not to let a bad experience ruin my outlook on a restaurant. But with this place, I have found a place that I will go out of my way to avoid. Over the years, the quality of both the food and service has steadily declined. The last straw for us was an experience that seemed to either be an episode of the twilight zone or candid camera. My wife and I were seated for what we thought would be a normal meal. My wife ordered a hamburger and I the meatloaf. I ordered my two sides and she ordered hers with fries. My plate came out and the sides were not the ones I had ordered. I brought it to the waitress' attention. She informed me they had ran out of the sides I ordered and substituted them for what was on the plate. She hadn't asked me what I might want she just assumed. My wife's burger came out, but no fries. It seems they had forgotten to cook them. We were told they would come out when they were ready. My wife said ok and started to assemble her burger, when she noticed the lettuce and tomato on her plate were both spoiled. They both had black edges on them. We brought this to the attention of the waitress who told us that we could just take it off the plate. I told her this was unacceptable. The waitress took the plate away. We called over the manager. Informed him of the experience we had already had and wondered what we could expect next. We were told he would comp our meal, and we told him we would pay for what we ate. My wife's burger came back out and it was obvious all that was done was the tomato and lettuce were taken off the plate. (Thankfully I had taken a picture of the plate before it was taken away. Which I emailed to their corporate offices.) At this point we asked for our check. The waitress wanted to know what was wrong and I informed her that we were extremely dissatisfied with the food and service. We paid our check and left. I emailed their corporate offices the next day. We received a letter in the mail a few weeks later with $10 in Dixie gift certificates. We have yet to use them, and don't plan to as we threw them away. I would not suggest anyone going here unless you want bad food and bad service.
