If you are someone who cannot resist tasty food, then at Zaxby's you can always try the Zalads. The best part about these salads is that you can customize it as per your needs. Make it grilled, fried or just go for the garden which can make your salad healthy and low on calories.

You must also avoid food items on the Popular menu at Zaxby's such as Buffalo Chicken Finger plate and Chicken Finger Plate. These items are high in sugar and sodium which can be harmful to diabetics. You must also keep the Chicken wings order to a maximum five to control your sugar intake. Avoid BBQ, Teriyaki, and Sweet & Spicy sauces in your Chicken wings order.
Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high blood pressure. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.

Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol
Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.
I'm often in Blytheville for work. The greatest challenge here is getting good and/or healthy prepared food, especially salads. Consequently, zaxbys.com is my go-to place for lunch, always a salad and usually a Grilled Chicken Caesar salad, which features fresh mixed greens and (normally not-soggy) croutons. Today, though, I got the Ranchero salad, which features "a barbacoa chicken fillet, crispy tortilla strips, fire-roasted corn, black beans and Picante Ranch dressing" - out-freaking-standing! The tortilla strips are nicely crispy, the Roma tomatoes are good, and the corn & beans are wonderful (and rare in a town that has at least two 'Mexican restaurants' - NONE of which offer black beans). And is huge! They must sell all salads by volume, but this one weighs at least 0.5 kg! Made my day.

I ordered the large chicken tenders platter after seeing others pictures and it was WAAAY too much. I'm a big guy and I couldn't finish. The chicken was great, the fries were hot and the Zax sauce was tasty. My SO ordered the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was very tender and well cooked but it did not taste Cajun. That and the staff seeming uninterested are the only knocks. Would go back.

During a 10.5 hour trip from Gulfport to St Louis we stopped here. The lady sounded upset at first but later actually smiled and told us to have a blessed day. The chicken strips were a bit small, the crinkle fries had a good seasoning and the BBQ sauce was okay. My side salad was run if the mill, bagged lettuce with a few tomatoes and cucumbers thrown in but sufficed. Overall, if ever back in town, we MAY come back.

We stopped on our way heading north on I 55, The food was great, we had the chicken tenders meal and it was more than enough for the 2 of us. The lady at the drive thru was especially nice. We will make this a regular stop on our way to see the grandkids.

Keep driving! We were starving - on a road trip and read other views so stopped. Greasy, greasy, greasy. Fries are over seasoned, Texas toast was soaked in grease, and staff was beyond rude.

I know I've reached the South when we stop here at the first exit after crossing into Arkansas. We stopped here on the way to the in laws last Thursday and as usual, the food was great, made promptly and the service was top notch. It is always worth stopping by if you are passing through for some good southern chicken, fries and Texas toast. The location is always clean and while traffic on the main road can be a bit busy, it is worth the minor inconvenience of getting in and out of the location. For those who have never had Zaxby's, they are a chicken restaurant chain located in the South, similar to Chick-fil-A. Except it is far better than the crap that is served at Chick-fil-A. For those headed south out of St. Louis on I-55, it is the first exit in Arkansas in front of the WalMart. You won't be disappointed.

I had high expectations after reading the other review. I was disappointed from the start. The staff was very apathetic and unfriendly. They did get us our food fast but we soon found out that was because it must have already been cooked for a while, it was all cold! It tasted alright considering that it was cold. It probably would have been really good if it was hot or even warm. We were a little early for the lunch crowd and considering the place was packed when we left, they must have had a bunch already made for the rush. It could have been a really good lunch but we were just left disappointed.
