There isn't a ton of places to get sushi around here, but this place is the best. Whenever we are craving sushi (which is often) This is the first place we go.

Decent food, but habachi was not the best quality food and the rice was crunchy and undercooked. Great staff here.

Lunch here is extremely affordable with practically endless options, and everything was absolutely lovely, FAR exceeding our requirements for a casual lunch with friends. While this is not the fanciest hibachi-style restaurant we have visited I would say it is definitely among the classier ones. We opted to sit near the bar and ordered bento box lunches and sushi. The soft shell crab was delicious and affordable. Their bento boxes are much more customizable than standard. There's an option of at least a dozen sides and you get to pick 3 of those for inclusion with the regular players of rice and Miso or salad. We really enjoyed the shumai. Everyone in our party was more than happy with the food and again, the price was far below what we normally pay for this type of food a couple of hours North. I don't usually go on and on about pricing in my reviews but it was enough of a difference to remark upon.

A completely cold bento box, uncooked mushrooms in lukewarm miso soup, lemon in low-budget sencha tea. That was lunch. Most of the menu is Korean, which is OK if it was billed as such. I hate to say it, but this just seems typical of Northwest Arkansas restaurant food in general. If I base my rating on actual good restaurant food, it deserves no more than one star, but if I base it on what I've encountered in restaurants in this area, it might be deserve a three. Bad is relative. The food in this area is just rank! I have not found a restaurant that rates above 2 stars. And that, just barely.

The best option in bentonville ! Loved the tepniyaki !!

I came here just for some sushi and a beer, and left a very happy camper (watch out for the 20%+ tax on alcohol in Benton County!!). I got an octopus salad, which was very good. Then I got the jalapeno yellowtail, which was phenonmenal (14.95, but worth it!). The sauce was excellent. Lastly was the Tuna2Love roll, with spicy garlic ponzu. This was one of the few rolls I've eaten that had enough flavor in it by itself, no soy sauce/wasabi mix needed. it's nice on the inside, and the sushi bar has ample seating. I can't speak for the hibachi, but the sushi was great. Definitely a place I'd come back to if in the area again.

I'd eat here every day if I could. Can't go wrong with hibachi grill, most sushi choices or lunch bento boxes.

I was completely unaware that this place even existed until I accidentally drove into its parking lot while looking for a now-defunct Brazilian steakhouse. It's tucked back a bit on Walton Blvd. Shogun has really good and surprisingly cheap sushi (about the same price as every other sushi place in town). There's also a hibachi grill where they put on a great show, but I stuck to the raw stuff. It's a much larger restaurant, so you don't get the same hands-on feeling that you do at Kobe or the sushi place on Moberly, but it's damn good regardless. I think the sushi may have tasted slightly fresher here than at the previously mentioned places, although I've never had a bad experience at any of them. I'll definitely be back to Shogun.

Great place to get sushi in NW Arkansas. Was in between a Hilton Garden Inn and Marriott Springhill suites.

Great sushi and nice staff. I like Abraham in the sushi bar area. He is nice and polite and will cut you a portion based on your size, which would put me in the huge to rather severely large. No jk , only 240lb man at 6'2". Anyway, sushi is 20% off til 6:00pm almost everyday!

Always a great lunch, at a great value. I had one of the bento boxes and what value. The waiter was new, and did make a mistake, but he was polite and fixed the problem in a timely manner. I will go back. Did not have the sushi today, but have in past. It is always fresh. Enjoy.

Came here for a date night a little over a week ago. I'm always a little nervous to eat at a sushi place that isn't near the ocean haha, but this place was good. WAIT: We came around 7:30pm on a Friday night and were seated right away at a table. It is a fairly large restaurant, so overall there is plenty of seating. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. FOOD: Here is what we ordered: *Miso Soup *Lychee Soda *Crunchy California Roll *Shogun Veggie Roll *Blue Point Roll *Yaki Soba with Chicken Overall, it was a very good meal. My favorite was the Blue Point Roll. It had some of my favorite food: filet mignon, asparagus, avocado, spicy crab, jalapeno, spicy mayo and eel sauce. So yummy! The lychee soda was fun because of the way they open it with the ball dropping. I wouldn't order it again though because it has HFCS and I try to avoid that in the food I eat. It was really good sushi, especially being in NWA, but still love my CA sushi restaurants haha. Overall, I would come back here.

Came for anniversary dinner. Order was messed up, th Hibatchi cook did not put on a show and the bar tender could not make a decent Long Island. Felt sorry for the fish..tanks look like they haven't been cleaned out in a kong time.

Satisfying choice for a birthday dinner. The restaurant itself is very impressive inside as well as the presentation. Specifically the hibachi dinner was very good and tasted extremely fresh. The alcoholic beverages were made correctly as well, which is hard to find at certain places. Not too strong, just right for the supper ambience. The only thing that was not right was the fried calamari because it tasted extremely odd and off. Honestly, it does not even look like calamari or taste like it but to only have one complaint out of an entire meal is not bad.

I would normally give this place 3-4 stars but.... As I was driving down the road on a very hot August day, I was behind a trailer that was full of boxes marked keep frozen, raw seafood. I was behind them on the by-pass for about 20 minutes before they exited. I was not intentionally following them, they just happened to be going my way. All this being said, they pulled into and behind the shogun location in Bentonville. about an hour later I was visiting a friend who was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next door and was shocked and appauled to see that same trailer with the same boxes sitting in direct sunlight. Reasonably this raw/frozen product sat un refridgerated for over 2 hours (at least) before it was unloaded. I will never eat here again and if for some reason I am forced to, I will order all my protiens fried or not at all. At least you think they could have covered these boxes(around 50 cases) with a tarp, or buy a van to block the direct sunlight and provide a/c to slow the thawing process.

This is definitely my favorite location. I assumed they all were the same but this location does things just a little bit better. We love the spicy sashimi salad here! My daughter likes to get the pig sooie and the salmon bento box. You get to pick 3 sides for the bento box and I love them all! My favorite rolls are the deep fried baby lobster and sam's roll. Every time we come visit Arkansas, this is one of our favorite places to eat!

I'm not a huge fan of the circus that is a typical Japanese steak house. That being said, the food here was good, if a bit salty, and my sushi roll was fresh and had great flavor. Our chef was low on the theatrics, and I appreciated that. He only threw shrimp at one person. The dining room is very clean and service was prompt and courteous. Shogun is a good pick if you're looking for Japaneese Steakhouse dinner-and-a-show.

Good stuff! Sushi is of consistent quality and selection is good. Always ask what specials are available - sometimes halibut, surf clam, big eye tuna. For those into creative rolls there are some real goodies - a recent special had a crab stuffed fresh jalapeno tempura fried. I've had a great sashimi salad as well - all the sushi bar offerings would get them a 4-5 star rating. I did the hibachi for the first time this week. It was exactly the expected - you get some entertainment with your dinner and do so at the expense of good service - drinks, etc. were painful to come by. Also, I ordered the salmon teriyaki, and it was a salmon steak, not a fillet. A thin, skin-attached, dark stripe included, fishy-tasting salmon steak. Considering the beautiful fillets used for the salmon sushi, I did not see that coming! The taste was strong and unappealing and neither I, nor the other person at the table who ordered it, actually ate it. For a sushi eater to not eat the teriyaki because it's "too fishy" - I'd think we can agree that's BAD! So I'd have to give the hibachi 3 stars. I'll split the difference and go with 4. Nice place, some good selections. Avoid the Salmon on the hibachi!
