Love local restaurants like this. They never disappoint. I had the oyster po boy and my wife had the shrimp and grits. She raved over them and she should know as a pregnant mother whats good or not and my po boy was one of the best I've had!

I'm from Louisiana and live in Benton, so I loved the potential of Cajun fare here in central AR. I can report that the food here isn't bad, but it doesn't take me back to Prejean's, Mulates, Don's or even Maspero's. It may seem unfair to make those comparisons, but the prices imply the comparison is somewhat reasonable. I'm forced to agree with some other Louisiana natives in saying this is not on par with more iconic Cajun venues, but it's honestly not bad and to be fair, it's pretty far from South Louisiana. It's certainly worth a try and the service and atmosphere are very good.

Walked past the rocking chairs on the porch and into the restaurant and I felt like I had stumbled into New Orleans. It was a cute Cajun decor inspired by Mardi Gras and southern living on the bayou. The menu was simple and seemed to have something for every taste. My wife is unable to condone any spice of any kind and so was forced to order the fried jumbo shrimp. A friend that came with us ordered shrimp w/grits while his wife ordered the gumbo. I wanted to be brave and likewise ordered a spicey pasta. The bottom line for our visit was plain and simple. Stick with the cajun food and stay away from the pasta. The shrimp was amazing. The shrimp w/grits was fantastic. The gumbo was delicious. The pasta tasted like boiled spagetti that someone tried unsuccessfully to turn into a cajun dish. I'll never order the pasta again but I'm definatly coming back for some of that gumbo or fried shrimp. The service was decent and friendly. The decor was cute and the food was good if you stick to what you know.

Admittedly, I tried neither the gumbo nor the crawfish, which I hear are both outstanding. I had the "Nawlins" pasta which was served very quickly. I'm always skeptical of things that have the supposedly phonetic spelling for New Orleans. Having spent a fair amount of time in south Louisiana over the years, I have yet to hear any true Cajuns call it "Nawlins"...but I digress. The portions were obscene. I ordered a half order of the aforementioned pasta and what I was served could have easily fed three adults. The sauce was bland and lacked any hint of Cajun influence despite the presence of crawfish tails and andouille sausage. If you're going to serve Cajun food, you damn well better have some flavor. It doesn't have to be hot - but it has to have seasoning. For my experience the food lacked taste and was very bland.

We've eaten at Mo' Betta Gumbo twice and were fans of their delicious Cajun style food from the get-go. The service is always great, and every dish our family has tried has been lip-smacking good. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Cajun/Creole restaurants in Arkansas, much better than other local fare like that at Copeland's in Little Rock. The prices are reasonable, too. I highly recommend it!

Recently went back for boiled crawfish. It had the perfect amount of spice on it, that left your lips tingling. Those mud bugs were cooked the right way, all 5 pounds. It came with the traditional corn and potatoes.

That loaded bread appetizer..... Shrimp & grits.... Cute atmosphere. Service was great during a lunch visit but a long wait when stopping in on a weekend night. A bit pricey for this area. I did make a few suggestions, especially since I'm a LA girl.... One of which was offering half orders, which would cut down on pricing too. Overall, a welcome addition to the Saline County restaurant world!

Second time visitor and I will certainly be back! Everything I have tried has been delicious - jambalaya, shrimp po boy, cornbread...but the gumbo has to be my favorite! The portions are huge and I agree with the other reviewer that they could cut the portion size and in turn the prices. $54 for lunch for 3 was a bit on the high side. Very friendly staff, clean restrooms, cute atmosphere.

I just moved up from New Orleans with my husband and we were craving some good food from back home so we went here. When I looked at the menu, I honestly expected an absolute perfect po-boy considering the prices. Those prices would get you a 12 inch best of the best po boy in New Orleans. And I was surprised they didn't carry a simple shrimp po-boy. I'm not sure what the buffalo or something shrimp po-boy they had was, but it did not sound appealing. Catfish po-boy: First of all, this is a 1/2 a po-boy, not a whole po-boy. i ordered the po-boy standardly New Orleans' dressed (lettuce, tomato, hot sauce, mayo, and pickle). It came without pickles which was disheartening. That vinegary bit is essential to New Orleans flavor. The bread was not french bread. It was good bread, but not french bread. The catfish didn't have a ton of flavor to it. I expected a lemon, cayenne, and black pepper fry on it, instead it was fairly bland. Potato salad and coleslaw: The sides are Sysco sides. They doctor them up a bit, but they're definitely Sysco. That was beyond disheartening. Red beans and Rice: I think they make their beans in house, but flavor them with packet seasoning? They don't taste homemade somehow, but they're ok. I couldn't find any clues of them using a mirapoux to make them. I'd rather eat my own though. Beignets: The beignets were cakey not fluffy. They should be like air filled little pillows. They were a good attempt but either the flour is overworked or the mixture is off. Maybe I'm being hard on them because I'm from New Orleans, but it seems their claim to fame is from the south too. Everything should be homemade, from scratch with love, especially for the prices they are asking their customers to pay. I don't think this place would survive back home for more than a month. Maybe it does better up here because folks don't know any better. Just imagine how amazing it would be if they cooked from scratch.

Read all the reviews and thought we would give it a try. You need to try this if you remotely like Cajun/Creole. Some of the best, wait, the best I have eaten in Arkansas! Very hefty portions, staff was very helpful with decision making. You have to start with the Slap Yo Mama Loaf! It was worth the trip! We will be regulars here!

I took my beautiful wife to this restaurant on our date night. We started off with the fried pickles which were fried to perfection and had a nice ranch dressing for dipping. I ordered the oyster po' boy which is something I loved eating when I lived in Lake Charles, LA. Yes, I know what real Cajun food tastes like. My sandwich arrived with COLESLAW on my fried oyster po'boy! This coleslaw tasted like it was drowned in apple cider vinegar, so I did my best to scrape it off. I took my first bite of the sandwich and was not happy. What was I thinking ordering oysters in Arkansas! They were not fresh, but I was hungry and didn't want to flush $12, so I ate it. This was not a good experience and I will not return.

WOW! Great Cajun food. We had a large party and we were sat promptly and had excellent service. Lots of appetizers...most notably "Slap yer Momma loaf"! Rich creamy and full of seafood. Fried shrimp were big and tasty! Voodoo pasta was really good. Rumor has it the warm weather will bring Crawfish boils and live music outdoors....whata place this will be. If you havent been yet...be in the know and carry yet tail over there!!!!!

You have GOT to try this place!! We went there on day 17 since first opening. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were cozy, and the food was off the scale!! This is not flaming hott, Rabin Cajun. This is clayy, tasty, flavorful Cajun food in a down home style. If you like it real hot, use the side bottlest of pepper sauce, but you will not need it!! I had the crawfish etouffee and it was fabulous. I could taste all the ingredients and it left a warm glow on the tongue. Definitely a MUST try.
