My second visit to the Cheddars in Tuscaloosa and once again it did not disappoint. Our waitress Taylor was perfect!

My first visit there the meal was delicious, but toward the end of our meal a roach crawled across the table...we immediately told the staff and you would have thought we insulted them personally. We couldn't find our waiter, so we told the one closets to our table. They saw the roach, but all they did was say "sorry". By then we were so frustrated we just left. We should have told management...I personally have not been back since. I don't think the company I was with has been back either.

Found a splintered off skewer in my pasta! But not only that but sometimes the wait staff feels put out when I have questions with my order. For the most part it's good food and friendly service- just a few kinks to work out!

This is place is just perfect. You get quality food for relatively cheap prices. We started with the spinach dip, which came warm and the chips were fresh. We were a party of two, we had the bourbon glazed salmon with baked potatoes and Broccoli, and ribeye with apples and broccoli casserole, all were cooked to perfection. This is definitely one of the best salmon I've had. Our server Courtney was great. The only con I can think of was the wait, they told us we'll be seated in 30 mins and we were seated after 45.

Great meal and service. Very clean. We had chicken tender meal and kids had penne with marinara sauce. Plenty to eat. We almost could have just shared our meal.

No wait to be seated for lunch. Fast service. Tried something different this time. Smokehouse Burger with Fries. Very good, prepared just as requested. Prices are better than similar restaurants and food just as good. They do have some options (Chicken & Waffles) not available at the others which is another plus. This was my 3rd time at this location and have no complaints from any visits. This will remain in my rotation when in the area for business or passing through.

Prices are good, food was good. Service lacked big time with nobody coming back to check on refills. Had to ask for extra napkins three times. Thinnest cut ribeye I believe that I have ever seen, no way to cook to order if you want it medium or less. Might go back but not soon.

Good food, good atmosphere...and I was in good company. I will definitely return to enjoy more items from the menu. Drinks were great too.

NEVER, NEVER go to Cheddar's on Friday or Saturday night. The female thugs take over and all they do is scream, shout and take pictures of each other with their cell phones. It gets incredibly loud and intimidating. We will never go back and advise you to stay away. This place is strictly ghetto on Friday and Saturday nights.

This restaurant is good for just relaxing after a long day of work. The food choice is okay but isn't anything worth wild. It took the food awhile to arrive at our table but since the atmosphere is so relaxed you find yourself just talking the time away.

Good variety ordered today. 3 burgers, steak, chicken salad and chicken fried chicken. Plenty of food. If you like white gravy on your food, you'll like the chicken fried chicken. Steak was good, surprisingly good. Chicken salad was better than expected. They cut the chicken in thin slices instead of big chunks. Burgers were thick and tasty. As always though, slow food delivery. Can't blame the server. Something must be going on in that kitchen because it is always this way.

There were three of us that came here for dinner. I absolutely love all the Cheddars restaurants I've been to so I suggested we stop in for a quick bite on our way back to Louisiana. Needless to say, this was less than an enjoyable experience. The food was great, but the service was subpar. When we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone. The restaurant wasn't that busy so it seemed odd. We decided to take a seat in the bar so that we wouldn't have to wait for a host. When we sat down, the bartender, Connor, gave us the least warm welcome he could. No smile, no hello - just asked us if we needed food menus or drink menus. It took him awhile to finally get our order and when we ordered our first choice appetizer, he told us they were out of it. No big deal, but right after he told us that, he ignored us again and went to go do something else rather than continue with our new appetizer choice and entree decisions. When it was finally time to order, he stood at the computer and made us yell our order to him across the entire bar. When we finally got our appetizer, we had no plates or silverware. He asked us, "Do you guys need silverware?" after seeing the blank looks on our faces. Once our entrees came out, he was not very attentive - drinks were empty, etc. He came up mid-meal and told us he was leaving and asked if we would close out with him. That was fine with us, but the feeling of being rushed through a meal isn't very appealing. What if we had wanted dessert? Or drinks? The whole time we were there, he was ignoring guests, treating them as if it was an extreme inconvenience for all of us to be there. From takeout guests to dine-in eaters, everyone was receiving little to no customer service. I would, however, like to commend the young female manager on duty that night. She was working closely with Connor at the computer and was handling the attitude he was giving off very well.

There are better places to eat nearby. Price is good. Food is so so. Service questionable. Not professional more of an order taker

There food was pretty good. Expect large portions! One plate for 3 people #easy. It was a little under seasoned but a little salt and pepper made it perfect. Great place to go!!!

We ate there last night. It was 9:15 when we arrived and they close at 10:00. I ordered the vegetable plate just because it came with a warm butter drizzle croissant.... The waiter returned after a few minutes to tell me they were out of croissants since it was close to closing time... bummer ,I really wanted that croissant... so I got my vegetable plate.. The broccoli cheese casserole was indeed good but cold..The corn was good but cold.. same for the Mac and cheese... My baked Potato was okay but at least it was hot... I wasn't too happy with this experience and I chalk it up to arriving so late. I would try it again because of all the other good reviews and maybe earlier in the evening so I can get that croissant! The painkiller was awesome! If you like pineapple and coconut, im betting you'll find it awesome too!

This place is great. Large portions that are big enough for a family at a reasonable price. Give the chicken fried chicken a try. It's a challenge to eat it all but I somehow managed to finish off my portion. Wonderful friendly service as well. About the only negative was there was no WIFI service offered and that's pretty standard these days.

Ordered the 1/2 double decker sandwich and chicken a tortilla soup for lunch. The soup was not hot (warm at best) and had zero chicken in it. Then the sandwich was more like a quarter sandwich rather than a half. It was ok but I could have made one just as good at home.

I would give zero stars but not an option. I was just there and sat at table for 7 minutes, watching wait staff walk by( at least 7-8 people). When I got up to leave, I asked for a manager at the front door. It turns out she was one of the people who walked by my table several times and never acknowleded I was there. Service is awful. Would not recommend this place at all. Too bad, I am from Texas and it was an OK chain place to eat at in Texas.

Two Stars was a pretty generous rating here, but I am giving some benefit of the doubt because of the newness of this restaurant and the great attitude and effort of our server, Gavin. That being said, this new restaurant has an appealing décor and an inviting atmosphere. But, the staff is HORRIBLY under trained and ill equipped to handle the large crowds coming to check out the "new kid in town". There was no silverware or napkins available when we were seated, we had to ask for them repeatedly even after appetizers were served. The servers have not been trained in how to properly place drinks and dishes on the table, a bowl of soup was almost spilled onto one of our family members. Now, I do think that the servers that I saw were giving good effort and were working to keep good attitudes while facing lots of issues. They need a lot more training and experience... The execution by the kitchen was also not very good. More than 1 in my family group had wrong side dishes, 1 was served cold soup. Diners at a nearby table were served VERY undercooked fish and basically got up and walked out rather than wait to give the kitchen another chance (They had other problems too but the fish was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back). I wish them well, but Cheddar's will not be a regular stop for this guy.

My family and I went here when it first opened and it was alright, nothing special. Last week my husband and I revisited here and it was terrible! All I could taste was salt! I managed about two bites of my food and thats all I could stand. My husbands meal was ok to him but he will eat anything just about. The waitress noticed I didnt eat my sandwich and asked if I wanted a to go box which I told her no because it was horrible. She never said sorry or anything, I just got an "ok" from her. I will never step back into this place. Its slow, the service isnt wonderful and the food is horrible.

Took 45 minutes to get order even after asking server to check on it. Then we had to ask twice for the child's plate. When the food finally came the potato was cold. Got a so so response from manager. Won't be back!

Wish I could give no stars. This place is horrible! Worst service ever. Slow night and still the order was wrong, incomplete, and what food came was cold. Just terrible. Stay away

The complaints about the service are true, it took awhile for our food to get out even on a relatively slow night but the food was worth the wait! I got the napa chicken ciabatta and it was fantastic. So were the side of mashed potatoes! I would definitely come back, but maybe on a night when I'm feeling a bit more patient

I had really high hopes for this place. Every time I have passed by the parking lot was jam packed. Even though I had my daughter pull up the Yelp reviews before we ate there today and I saw a lot of poor ratings, I decided to give it a try. So I went with Allyson L.'s review and ordered the Napa Chicken Ciabatta with corn and baby carrots for sides. We arrived around 10am and the place had no hours posted on the door, so my daughter googled it and it said they opened at 10:30am so we killed some time in McFarland Mall until 10:45am. When we got back they STILL were not open. We patiently waited until 11:00 and were literally the FIRST customers through the door. So, I figured the slow service complained about in so many of the reviews would be solved because they should get our order fast since there were no others before us. It took 45 minutes!!!! A two stars is generous but only because my daughter's jalepeno burger looked so good and juicy. Somebody must have tripped and spilled the garlic in the corn but at least, on the bright side, I won't have to worry about the vampires for a while now. I like garlic but GOSH!! It took me having to get up from the table to go find somebody to take my payment because our waiter just vanished on us after delivering the bill. Nevertheless, the was NO TIP left. My Napa Chicken was dry, the bread was cold and even dryer. They waited until bringing my plate to inform me that it would be another 10 minutes on my carrots. Who runs out of carrots??? So, I just told them to bring me some coleslaw instead which reminded me of KFC's slaw but just a little better. The little shot glass of strawberry cheesecake that I had was good. $47 and I left still hungry. I MAY go back one more time to give this place a second chance for the Key West Chicken and Shrimp and a Mango Daquiri.

My family & I throughly enjoyed our meal. The food was great, the service was excellent & the atmosphere beautiful. It was a little noisy & the restrooms are almost hidden. The prices are so-so, but we enjoyed our experience overall & we will return.

Service is horrible. Total chaos. People lined up for a long wait (never again)- 12 empty tables just on one side....... Lost orders, incorrect orders.

Okay, let me start off by saying that I am no harsh food critic or anything like that. Now for the story- my family decided to go to Cheddar's with a group of 14 people, 4 were still on there way. After giving the hostess our name and amount of people, we were told that there would be about a 15 minute wait, which was completely understandable, and pretty quick honestly. After about 30 minutes, a person in our party went to ask about how much longer it would be, the "manager" was now standing by the hostess and asked, "well, how many people do y'all actually have because there is a big difference between 6 and 15?" Confused, we answered that we never said 6, and that we have 14 total. We are then told that they would get a table for us together and that it would be just a minute. After waiting about 5 minutes, and the rest of our party arriving, we are directed towards our "table." We were being placed at THREE SEPERATE BOOTHS, rather than one large table. Irritated I asked the manager, who seated us, if there were another table available where we could all sit together, being that half of our party was family who live out of town. The manager then told me "no, and this place isn't meant for large groups." He also told me that he likes booths better because they don't get in the way. So then I looked around, saw other large parties and asked if we could just wait for a large table to open, or small ones to put together as one. He then told me that it would take "at least 2 hours." Confused and irritated, I asked why this was because we were literally the first on the waiting list, and since this happened due to their mistake, would we not be put back first in line? He told me no, and that he just couldn't give us a big table. After going back and forth, we all just angrily decided to sit, since it was clear that there was nothing that they were going to do to fix it. Was it too much for us to ask to all sit together? Isn't that why people go out to eat? To eat with one another? My grandparents, who had to sit at 1 of the booths alone, were forgotten that they were in our party, so they were not waited on with us, until we called attention to it. We had to ask for silverware about 10 times. A couple of us never got 1 of our sides. I used to enjoy going to Cheddar's and I have never had a problem with them until this, however I will NEVER go back. I have never in my life had a MANAGER talk to me and treat me the way that he did. He did not care one bit that they messed up our seating arrangement, or anything else. I work in a restaurant, so I know how things can be stressful, but I also know what is expected and how to talk to customers, and he did not. Not one bit. I will never in my life go back there, and neither will anyone from our party. It was the most ridiculous dining experience that I have ever had. If a manager of a business is not appreciative of the business you are providing them, then why should I continue to provide them with my business and money? Never again. Rude, rude rude!!
