Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

If you have not tried Salvatore's cheesecake - you should, well that is if you like cheesecake, they definitely have the best I have ever eaten. However, you must get it early because it is made fresh and when they run out, which is early, they do not have any more until the next time they make cheesecake. I have told them multiple times they need to make more cheesecakes because they would sell them - hopefully they will listen because many times when we have ordered from them we have been unable to get our cheesecake fix. ;)

Italian sub is excellent - the bread was nicely toasted and crunchy, the veggies on it were crisp and succulent. Pizza was good, however the sauce is inconsistent - sometimes there is enough sauce, but the last time there was not enough sauce. The bread pudding is wonderful, however they first gave us chocolate cake instead. Would return- the prices are right.

This place was a BIG disappointment. I've been dying to try it since I moved to the area. It's nestled right between Starbucks and Coldstone so I've seen the traffic. I finally got a chance to try it. I ordered lasagna, pretty basic Italian dish, right? The color and consistency of the meat sauce was very chef-boy-ar-dee-ish. No flavor and VERY salty! As I moved it around in the bowl it was served in (that should have been a hint) I could see what looked like tomato broth around the edges. I took the bowl up to the young man at the counter and asked him was it supposed to be this watery. I explained that this was my first visit. He told me that it wasn't water but sauce. I asked again if it's usually this watery and he told me it was. No effort made to see what was wrong or anything. In addition, the "salad" I got at the start, consisted of a bowl of hard iceberg lettuce, some grated mozzarella cheese and one slice of tomato. The garlic breAd was an over toasted and barely buttered sandwich roll. I'm not sure if I'll be back. This has been sad!

I ate here right after thanksgiving with some friends and I got their spaghetti with olive oil and cheese. Then, I went two weeks ago with my husband and got the fettuccine alfredo. We had to wait forever, and then his food came out a good ten minutes before mine. The salad was wilted, and I swear their alfredo sauce must be canned or something because I can make better at home. Not to mention the noodles were absolutely drowned in it. I had about 1/2 an inch of sauce left in the bowl after I ate. Their single pizza slices are a good deal for how much food you get, but they are usually really greasy. If you aren't picky about what to eat and just want something to shove in your gullet, this is a good place. If you want good quality food, look elsewhere.

Pretty good Italian right in Trussville. Their pasta dishes are good, they don't over-sugar their sauce. Pizza is good too. Bread pudding is good. Prices are a little high for "serve yourself" style restaurant but overall the food is good.

The food is good but the prices are ridiculous. One pizza $20 bucks that's crazy. And a slice is almost $5 bucks. Get the fcuk outta here!!!

My husband and I went here for lunch today. I had the pepperoni calzone and he had the special calzone. It was alright, but super greasy. They also put so many olives in my husband's calzone that it was almost inedible. I was pretty disappointed in both the food and service there. Our table was near the back and they put the dirty treys right beside us, which I found off putting. Overall, definitely not worth the price you pay for it.

Close, good pricing, and selection. Usually take out and food is always hot and tasty! Love their sauce! We've become regulars since moving into the neighborhood when we don't feel like cooking.

I have eaten here quite a few times. Today my slice of pizza was dry and hardly had any cheese on it. The dressing he gave me was some Italian dressing, not the usual house balsamic that I love. When I asked about it he said it was the same dressing, I told him no cause the dressing I'm used to is wayyy darker and it is sweet. So, needless to say I was not pleased with my visit. I asked to speak to the manager because I just could not bring myself to eat any of what I ordered. He said that he could only give me my money back for the slice because I had poured salad dressing on the salad, even though I had not eaten any of it. I had dipped my finger into the Italian dressing, because it did not look like what I was used to. I then opted for ranch, which is what I poured on the salad before deciding I did not want the food. I told the manager that the salad dressing was the reason that I came in the first place. He said that he had only been there 3 months, and it had been longer than that since I had been there and ordered a salad. There is a lady named Bo that used to work there during the day time and I am wondering if she used to make the dressing. The manager also told me that I wasn't the first person to complain about it. Considering all this, I was still only able to get $3.50 back for the slice of pizza. I took my tea and left.
