I have passed this place several times now taking the back road down to Gainesville, FL. It looks really authentic, so decided to stop off for lunch this time. The sign says the service will be slow.....and they are not lying! took freaking ages!! But the smoked pork sandwich I had, was amazing!! really tender slow smoked pork. Highly reccommend this place......if you are ever a few miles north of Troy, AL!!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, today I finally got my chance. FIRST the bad: Alabama allows smoking. That is the only reason I knock off a star. That and no vinegar sauce.. Lol Now for the good: GREAT BBQ! I had the pork plate with baked beans and potato salad. The BBQ is melt in your mouth with a prominent smoke flavor. ONLY ONE Sauce "sweet sauce" would love to have some more choices (Vinegar). The potato salad and baked beans are very good as well. Not to mention, Bill is a great guy with a great sense of humor.

In 2012 my close friend and I took a BBQ Odyssey from JAX FL driving to Memphis in 4 days as much BBQ we can could partake along the way. Part I ~ Stop 1 The B-B-Q House was out first stop at 11am on Saturday outside of Troy AL. The Pork sandwich was memorable with good sweet sauce; the fries were good tempo too. And they offered a complementary to go sandwich on the "House". From the looks this establishment has some rocking evenings as every in in the spacious Karaoke Bar area is covered with Polaroid Photos.

The store has extended hours. The BBQ ribs taste ok but not impressive. The French toast was good. The bathrooms are very small.

Followed the recommendations here on Yelp and stopped in on our way home from the beach. We loved it. Order the corn nuggets, very sweet and creamy. Also, ask for bread. They have a tasty garlic butter melted on top. The ribs were meaty, tender, smokey, and yummy. Same goes for the pulled pork sandwich. Their sauce is also very flavorful but I don't know if it's homemade. Try it anyway. If this place weren't so far from Atlanta, we'd come back often. But, for now, we may have to stick with a yearly trek to this part of Alabama. Good eats, that's for sure.

Best ribs in Troy. They cook the their ribs right and have a great sweet sauce. Get the fried okra and onion rings as sides!

They have a sign that reads, "We have good food here. We do not have fast food here." There is in fact truth in advertising. This is a great place for BBQ. I have passed this one by for years and finally made by first stop yesterday. The place is understaffed and have the slowest service you can imagine. However, the wait is worth it. I ate some of the best ribs I have ever had. They were second to none. The sides were also great. I highly recommend this one. It's a little out of the way, but it is well worth it.
