A fun, "quasi-hipstery" for Troy, and conveniently located on the square. They make great sandwiches, and serve beer! What more can you want. They sometimes have live shows and performances, and there's more than enough room for quite a few people to sit in the restaurant.

Well, wasn't this quite the surprise. We had been driving almost straight for two days. So close to Mobile, but hungry and road-weary and in need of some comfort. We pulled off the main road into Troy and parked near the town square, and Momma Goldberg's appeared like some sort of oasis. The staff inside are young and cheerful, and our food was prepared quickly (but not so quickly that one questions the quality). We settled into the seating outside and dazzled our taste buds with some spectacular sandwiches, and talked about how this is just the sort of town that we could see ourselves moving to. Momma Goldberg's is the perfect sandwich spot for a town like this, and I really do hope they stay in business for a long, long time. We would happily go out of our way to come through Troy on our next trip down.

LOVE the food. Turkey Delight and nachos EVERY time. I'm from Auburn where this place originated, but the service here was not as friendly. Employees making food were nice. Girl at check out... NOT friendly. Totally not in the mood to be at work. Not Mama G's service standard in my opinion. AND she was wearing her sorority letters... Not a good impression.

Good food, good service is spotty, is you see an older man, just don't bother.... He is super stingy on topping and coupons.

Love the food... but they close early and service is rarely good. Just walked up at 8pm on a Friday night to have the door locked on us.

Found this deli while checking out what was in Troy. Stopped in for an early dinner. The workers were very friendly. They recommended the Momma's Special. Got this and potato salad and was very pleased. I will go back again before I leave Troy.

The Momma's Love is very good. Everything else I have had has been average. The college age staff workers are always very nice and attentive. The old guy who is always in there, not sure if he is the owner or just a manager, could care less about customers. The first time I was in there he was drunk and spent all his time talking LOUDLY with one of his buddies, ignoring everyone else. I thought he might just be a drunk customer, until he went behind the counter and got himself another beer. The last time I was in they had a special on Rolling Rock pitchers for $5 but were out. Not sure how you run out of beer on a Monday, but I guess it happens. Maybe the old guy drank all of it.

Everything was very fresh and tasty.

Not bad. Live music sometimes. Have a cold beer with your sandwich.

What a great find! Saw it on yelp while just passing through, the parking in the square was a little tricky to figure out but once inside was well worth it. Clean and open atmosphere, very quick and courteous staff, food was amazing. Had a turkey delite with the works, the bun was fantastic! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite or a sit down meal.

The sandwiches were really yummy and fresh! I got the momma's love, and it was full of flavor and very good. :) My husband got the mommas bambino he thought it was really good as well. Great sandwich shop. :)

My wife and I love going to momma G's. The atmosphere and food are great, the high chairs are always clean too. There is plenty of parking across the street and we have never had to wait long for our food to be ready.
