Very clean, excellent food and super sweet staff! The best southern cooking and hospitality we've come across. So glad we found this gem enroute home from the beach!

If you asked my very southern family, they'd rate this place 5 Stars, but it just didn't cut it for me, except the service--which was down-home Southern polite! 4 Stars for service alone, but the food--BLEH! You can decide from the buffet items for $7.65 Grits Frozen Biscuits Bacon Deep Fried Southern Style Bacon ((EWE)) Sausage Links and Patties Scrambled Eggs Country White Gravy Potato Cubes (as hashbrowns) Name Brand cold cereal Fresh fruit Made to order French Toast & Pancakes Cinnamon Rolls The scrambled eggs and regular bacon were edible, as were the baked frozen-style biscuits, but the pancakes were gross--the batter was not mixed properly and the bottom of one of them was complete powder and inedible. My sister raved over the French Toast, but I did not find it to be of "Over the Top" quality. The syrup was not very good to me either. The cinnamon rolls were about medium in size. They looked good, but were very hard, & just not pleasant to eat. I would not have chosen to eat here. I don't really care too much for dining at a buffet style table, but majority rules on road trips. I would not dine here again.

Came across Julia's on the way home from the beach. Only offer buffet but it was a great country lunch! Fried chicken, sweet rolls, mashed potatoes and so on. Also a great salad bar. My 11 year old son who is very picky eater loved it.

Skip the unimpressive lunch and go early for a very good (and very greasy) breakfast buffet. Prices are a bit high, but this is probably due to Julia's being an all-you-can eat buffet. The breakfast buffet is large, with a great selection of Southern breakfast items, making Julia's one of the best spots to get a good sit-down breakfast in Troy.
