Best catfish in town. All the food is great. Little pricey though. I don't mind paying good money for good food. But they nickel and dime you to death. Want a to go cup? $$$. Extra ranch? $$$. Pay with a credit card or check for buffet? $$$. But the food is good enough that I keep going back, but not as often as I would if they corrected the above issues.

Was in Roanoke, Alabama over the weekend visiting my in-laws. Located on highway 431 near the intersection of Franklin and Courtney Roads, Gedney's Restaurant and Grill has a great buffet or you can order off the menu. I opted for the buffet and could not have been happier. When you walk in the door you immediately fall into the line for the buffet. The chicken and dressing station is the first stop and is worth the wait! The food is home cooked and is very good quality. The collards tasted like my father in law made them and the fried okra, candied yams and fried chicken were spectacular. As you can see, I didn't leave room for desserts. But, the candied yams could have been considered dessert! Gedneys is worth a day trip for the meal.

I went to this establishment Friday and my fiancee got a steak and I got crab legs it took one hour to get our order and I must say the steak was like leather and crab legs was reheated.what a let down.. was way over priced to. The service was terrible and the salad bar was a joke

First off, both my roommate and I checked the prices online before we bothered to go to this establishment, and the prices were extremely wrong. We got there, and felt like we had been lied to. The waitress was nice, but other than that, I was not very satisfied. I got the chili, and it tasted exactly like canned chili, and they gave me a very very small salad bowl. No bigger than my fist. When I went to the salad bar, the lettuce was brown, and the food looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I was extremely disappointed going here. They charge an exorbitant amount of money for food that is not very good, big or filling. I will definitely not return any time in the near future.

The food was okay, good prime rib, but it took a very long time to arrive (try over 1 hour and we arrived at 5;30 p.m. on a Thursday). 2nd waitress was very nice and tried her best. First waitress didn't bother to get us menus and wanted to take our drink orders right away. We would have ordered differently had we 1st had access to the menu. Ladies room flooded with approximately two inches of water, held back by dish towels. Had to hold niece in air for her to do her business and wash her hands. We regret ordering dessert, as after 35 minutes, it still hadn't arrived. We sent the younger children home and waited even longer for 3 desserts. How could 3 desserts take that long? I write as a former restaurant waitress and hostess. I do not have unrealistic expectations. But this was just unacceptable and sad
