I recently relocated to the Montgomery area and immediately knew I had to check this place out. Was greeted by Mick and his family and immediately offered free samples of all the popular dishes. I went with a crawfish dish, the girlfriend went with a shrimp a la creme. I can't say enough about the food here, and the people who run it. Oh, and they have the best green beans I've ever had. Do not miss Uncle Micks!

We arrived at opening, and there was already a line; that's a good sign in my book! I like how they encourage patrons to sample the various dishes before you order. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp a la Crème over a bed of rice, Cajun Potato Salad and Tomatoes with Feta for my meal, and devoured the Caramel Cake for dessert! My son enjoyed his Tilapia, Mandarin Oranges, mixed fruit and Caramel Cake! My hubby is a little harder to please, since he doesn't like seafood at all; so he only ate a bowl of Dirty Rice and two pieces of bread. At checkout, I inquired about a military discount, and the gentleman said to see him after dinner for our free Italian Ices; a pleasant surprise on a hot evening! The only reason I am giving four stars, is I would have preferred a sit-down experience with menus and a server....it felt too much like one of those Asian eateries in the mall. However, I would return to Uncle Mick for their delicious Cajun cuisine, beautiful decorations and friendly & helpful staff!

I am a frequent traveler to the Montgomery area and haven't had any real luck finding decent local food. Up until today that is. Uncle Mick's is in the old side of Prattville on a beautiful main street peppered with lots of locally owned small businesses. When my friend and I entered the cafe we were immediately greeted by Mick and offered generous samples of the various delicious cajun dishes offered in the cafeteria/deli style counter area. All of the food is delicious but I was partial to the shrimp creme sauce over rice. I also sampled an alligator sausage sauce over rice and it was the perfect blend of spice and flavor. So good. They were out of boudin sausage this evening but I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it before. They offer free Italian ice cups to military members and have a wide variety of southern desserts including pecan pie and bread pudding for purchase. This place should be on everyone's mandatory Montgomery eatery list. It's surely on mine now.

If a place ever deserved 5-stars I guess this place does. At Uncle Mick's the food is par-none. Everything everyone got was delectable. The interior of the place is homey and nice as well. Uncle Mick was serving behind the cafeteria style bar the night we went. He was super friendly and dole out sample after sample with a smile on his face. It felt very welcoming and it was nice to get a taste of what you liked before you ordered because (to me at least) the food is unique and not my usual fair. I got the sampler and I can't remember what all I had, but it was all great. I bought some of Uncle Mick's secret hot sauce to go because it was so unlike anything I've ever had. Kind of sweet, but still spicy, with a blast of something I can't quite identify. Go here if you're in the area; you can't go wrong!

Great place to eat I loved the atmosphere and experience! The people there couldn't have been nicer.

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't because they serve on stirafoam plates. Awesome food! Awesome service! Will be back for sure.

Never disappointed! Great food, atmosphere, service and staff! Shrimp ala creme & crawfish ettoufee - every visit!

Today, I went to Uncle Mick's for the first time. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was and the decor really added to the Cajun atmosphere. My boyfriend and I were greeted instantly and offered samples of anything we wanted to try. (Uncle Mick is seriously the sweetest man!) After trying almost everything, I finally decided on the alligator and sausage sauce piquant and crab meat au gratin. I'm not normally a huge fan of alligator and sausage, but it was fantastic. The crab meat au gratin is to die for! If I'm ever back in the Prattville area, I'll definitely be grabbing lunch at Uncle Mick's again!

I pass through Prattville fairly regularly. I never had any idea this little gem was hidden back off the interstate. I stopped in with 3 coworkers for lunch and we were all blown away with our meals. The people working behind the counter let us sample several different items, all of which were fantastic. I had the shrimp a la creme, alligator and sausage sauce piquante, black eyed peas, and a corn maque choux. I could have even eaten the dirty rice that came with my alligator by itself. I will definitely be making return trips here.
(5)
Tim M.
Great food, ate way to much, cafeteria style but better, you get little samples of everything before buying alligator, fish, shrimp etc way to many to list, all great. Eight of us showed up 1/2 hour before closing, it wasn't a problem

Amazing!! I had the alligator sausage piquant and crab meat Au gratin. The alligator is tender and nicely blended with tomatoes and white rice. It has a bit of spice to it. Yummy. The crab is smooth to the tongue without spice and has the consistency of whipped mashed potatoes. It has a layer of cheddar on top that is slightly crispy. I liked this dish too! I had the sweet corn and cuke salad for sides. The sweetness is nice after the spicy alligator. Both were very good! And the dessert topper is Pecan Pie. Holy smokes!! The Carmel and fresh pecans melt in your mouth. Love it! They're playing smooth jazz to relax everyone. This place is a gem!!
Worst experience ever. I work a few streets over, and it was always nice to walk over and have a really nice lunch. I don't know what happened, but it's awful now. Everything seemed watered down, I ordered shrimp a la creme, there were zero shrimp in it and the cajun potato salad was a creamy mess. I'm sad I wasted my money and lunch break. Definitely not worth it.

We absolutely LOVE this place! The staff is so very nice and helpful! The food is amazing!! Every one in our group had a great experience and look forward to returning one day. This is a must go to place!!
I can definitely see why this restaurant received such high reviews. My husband and I were in the area for the day and after reading a few of the reviews we decided to go here. Between the excellent service, eclectic but classy decor and wonderful food, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about! I didn't care for the Crabmeat Au Gratin, but it wasn't horrible. Just not as flavorful as my other selections. I had the following plate: Crabmeat Au Gratin, Shrimp a la Creme with Corn Machoux and Cucumber Salad for my sides. All wonderful. My husband enjoyed his food as well. He had the Alligator and Sausage Picant, Red Beans and Rice and Green Beans (delicious but very spicy). The only thing bad about this restaurant is that we couldn't bring it back home with us!

Was visiting from out of town on business. Stopped here on Main St to grab some lunch. The food was excellent and was pretty inexpensive. I like to try unique spots when I'm traveling and this fit the bill! I will definitely go again when I'm in the area.

Second time I have been in Prattville at lunch time. This time I tried the Alligator Sauce Piquante, black eyed peas and Lima beans. Once again, the staff were supper friendly and the food was really good. Even the garlic toasted french bread was great! I wish this place was in Birmingham and not 5 miles off I-65 in Prattville. Why is this place not packed with a line out the door. If it was in downtown Homewood I am sure it would.
(5)
Angi S.
Excellent food and excellent service. If you aren't sure what you want, they let you sample a little of this and a little of that to help you decide what to order.

This is our very favorite restaurant. Any time we have visitors from out of town, we take them to Uncle Mick's, and everyone loves it. Everything is amazing, but the alligator picante is my favorite. The service never fails to be great. Uncle Mick's is a must-visit in Prattville.

This place is awesome! The food is delicious. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. If it's your first time trying out the place, let him know! Get ready to sample everything. :) I would definitely recommend Uncle Mick's!

If you're nearby and you're not going here, you've got to be a lost soul. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to support an establishment running with superb service and serving mouth watering eats. 5 stars could be earned from the service alone. As soon as you walk through the door they're making you feel like family. Not sure what you'll like? Well they're offering you samples before you'd get a chance to ask. How many restaurants are pushing free samples that a) aren't in a food court and b) already have you in the door? I love crawfish etouffee but was torn as to whether to try a dish new to me or try the etouffee here and then I was informed I could split the plate. Yippee. I sampled the alligator and sausage picante and the shrimp al a crème. The gator picante was moderately spicy for my palette (we eat a lot of spice at my house) and had a tomato-y base to it. The shrimp al a crème was buttery and creamy-no spice here for those faint of tongue-it was delectable. The shrimp al a crème won over for flavor, variety, and lack of availability at other Cajun establishments I've been. I chose crawfish etouffe and shrimp al a crème with black eyed peas and Cajun potato salad. -The etouffe was good, not the best I've ever had though. It had more of a tomato flavor than my 'favorite' version. __________________________________________________Â___________________ -Shrimp al a crème of course scrumptious. The creamy, buttery sauce felt silky as it melted on my tongue. I didn't expect to like this as much as I did considering my love for Cajun spices and the lack thereof in this dish. This is comfort food style here. __________________________________________________Â___________________ -Black eyed peas were very good. Obviously long-cooked. Pieces of smoked sausage graced the serving with it's presence. Why not, it is Cajun cooking after all? -Had the potato salad been plain I would have liked it, but add in the spices that gave it quite an unexpected kick and BAM you've got some stellar potato salad. The scoop was full of chunky red potatoes with the perfect amount of "mash" to hold it all together, not overly creamy with mayo, and had the perfect amount of mustard. My only complaint is that I like warm potato salad but no establishment in their right mind would risk serving me warm potato salad. It's a risk I'll save for home. -Garlic bread? Sure I'd love some. It was crispy and buttery garlic bread. Not boring like most restaurants serving you a toasted piece of French bread. They even came by the table and asked if we needed more. Gosh after all that food there wasn't a place in my belly left for more. There is one con though. It's in Prattville! Golly gee I've managed to be traveling through Prattville at meal time ONCE in THREE years. I've got to manage my time better. The reason it's on my "Top 100 Dishes to Try" list: Shrimp al a crème with black eyed peas and Cajun potato salad AND garlic French bread. You'll be comforted right into an after dinner stupor.

Went there tonight at the recommendation of our hotel. Uncle Mick let us sample his entire menu. The seafood gumbo and chicken & sausage gumbo were good but not very spicy. The alligator and sausage sauce piquante, crawfish etouffee, and boudin were excellent! Highly recommend the bread pudding with bourbon sauce. They offer lots of sides and awesome desserts. I recommend the Sampler platter 3 entrees and 2 sides for $13.95. Service was great! Uncle Mick brought us extra desserts to sample.

We stopped at Uncle Mick's on a road trip heading to Florida & couldn't have been happier. We were looking for some 'home cooking' and a break from fast food, this was just the ticket. The food was great & the owner couldn't have been more friendly to me and my family. It's a bit of a drive off the expressway but worth it.

Sad to say that I have received confirmed reports that Tony Arnaud has left Uncle Mick's. I said in my other review that it was like a rose in bloom again. Well, the flower is fading. My folks have said the food is still good, just not as good as when Tony was there. I'm sure that crafty cajun left some secret ingredients or measurements out of the recipes he left. I'll update again if I find out where Tony resurfaces at.

We absolutely loved this place. Uncle Mick let us sample almost everything on the steam bar (at his suggestion) and then we made our choices. Great place, great service and great food. Will definitely go back when we pass through this area again.

Absolutely incredible. It's cafeteria style, but don't let that deter you. The service is incredible and the food is out of this world. The best around!

Incredible food and atmosphere. We have been impressed every time we go there. Plus they want to do everything to ensure you choose something you might like and are happy when you leave. Your cheating yourself out of great food if you don't check Uncle Mick's out.

Great atmosphere and friendly owner. We were passing thru returning from a trip to Florida. This was a great little place in the small community of Prattville, AL All food is cooked there, homemade goodness. Uncle Mick offered samples before we made our choice of entrees. Everyone was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I had the lemon butter tilapia and the tomatoes as a side both were wonderful My husband had the seafood gumbo and black-eyed peas and dirty rice. He loved all of them. The deserts looked wonderful but we did not try those but will when we are back in the area.

The food of New Orleans is as storied as the people who cook it, but a lot it ends up being stews. Given the old world French influences of the Cajun and new world Spanish of the Creole, it says nothing of the flavor profiles, but you simmer a big pot of whatever crawls, slithers, swims, or flies for long periods of time, and the results are generally going to be pretty good. Half of Uncle Mick's entrees follow this rule, and it's why my sampler platter consisted of gumbo, etouffee, and piquant. Although they are all stewed dishes served over rice, you could certainly tell the difference among them, from the thinner consistency of the gumbo, defined by the deep, rich toasty notes of their brown roux; the creamy consistency of the crawfish etoufee; the spicy alligator piquant, heavy with tomatoes, light on the actual alligator (though tender when found) and a surprising popular item among our group of diners. Those seeking more dairy with their meal could have opted for the crab meat gratin or shrimp a la creme, but why? Nits can be picked with some of the side dishes - the dirty rice looked to be dirtied with ground beef instead of chicken livers, and the maque choux was in a state of liquidness matching that of the gumbo. Adding a slice of buttermilk pie or bread pudding may seem like something that's under your control, but the manner in which they are perched atop the cafeteria line removes all hope you had to resist. A fellow diner had never known the pleasures of buttermilk pie, and the man working the line was quick to emphasize its sweetness, which - while not untrue - wouldn't have been my first descriptor. For Uncle Mick's version, it appears to have been an appropriate warning - so saturated with sugar that the custard was failing to prevent a syrup from oozing onto the plate, this is a one note pie, but it's a note that's definitely worth turning up the volume. Prattville's lackluster downtown area doesn't have much to offer beyond Uncle Mick's, but it's the best New Orleans cooking to be found in the Montgomery area, and it's an experience worth having.

I have never enjoyed this kind of food until Uncle Mick's. The Alligator & Sausage Piquante was fantastic and the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was even better. Service is excellent! The prices are a little high for a lunch place but the food is so good and servings are just right. Highly recommend!

Whenever I come to Maxwell AFB, I stop by Uncle Mick's and get great food and warm greetings from the friendliest of friendliest people. I'm a big fan of the alligator al piquant and shrimp a la creme. Eat at Uncle Mick's - you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I were totally blown away by this southern treasure! I have had Cajun food before, in New Orleans and elsewhere, and never particularly enjoyed it. But Uncle Mick's was seriously extraordinary! EVERYTHING we tasted was amazing. The fact that they allow you to sample different dishes before you decide really allows you to branch out on what you choose. It was so hard because everything was so delicious! The vibe of the restaurant and the staff were also excellent. If you're in the area this place is a 'must-taste'!!

One word to describe Uncle Mick's: SUPERB! As soon as you walk in the door, Uncle Mick heartily greets you from behind the counter, one of the most charming attributes of this small business, the personal touch in the service you get. This is a "cafeteria style" restaurant, and when you order, Uncle Mick will usually offer you a sample to decide what you want. The hardest part will be to narrow it down, it's ALL DELICIOUS! The prices are reasonable, and the portions are are generous. For dessert, the bread pudding with the bourbon sauce is my favorite. Everything about Uncle Mick's reflects the obvious pride he takes in his business, it's a true Prattville gem. I always highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food & great service.

Excellent food and service! Regular spot for lunch, can't beat the good food, great value, and extremely friendly staff. You can get free tastes of as many of the dishes as you'd like. Don't miss the bread pudding with bourbon sauce! Alligator picante, tilapia, seafood gumbo, and corn maque choux are all recommended, although you really can't go wrong.

Just happened by this downtown restaurant today. You stand in line and pick out food you want? It's Cajun and Creole and all is delicious! The owner is quite friendly We will definitely be back again

Everything is amazing. I got the gator, shrimp a la creme, and lemon tilapia. The tilapia melted in my mouth. The shrimp was creamy and delicious curry. The pecan pie tasted homemade only better. The gator was good with just a little spice. If you're in Montgomery or Prattville you have to stop here. You won't be disappointed. Uncle Mick is very nice and his staff is very friendly.

I got a combo of Alligator & Sausage Sauce Piquante, Crab Meat Au Gratin and Chicken & Sausage Sauce Piquante. The food was good, but for the price $21.xx, very small portions. I guess if you order combo, they give you small servings since it is lunch but charge full serving prices. The server needs to also serve people, not stand around chatting. It was ok but not overly impressed. for that price Less rice, more meat would be good. I expected sit down made to order food, not cafeteria type of eatery. Chicken & Sausage Sauce Piquante.tasted burnt, like it had sat in pan too long not stirred.

Best food in Prattville! The service is excellent too.....Uncle Mick is quite friendly as well. If you aren't sure of what you want, he will let you sample everything on the menu prior to ordering....If you go, be sure to try the Shrimp a'La Creme. It's delicious!

WOW!!!! You must come eat here! Fabulous food. You get to taste anything before you choose what you want to eat. Everything is true Cajun style cooking. I had crabmeat au gratin, blackeyed peas, butter beans, and pecan pie. All fabulous! Owner and staff very nice and great casual atmosphere. Must eat here.

My wife saw this online and we decided to try some local color. I was immediately put off by the fact that it was a dingy place with a steam table, I guess it was Uncle Mick who greeted us and offered my wife a sample of something. We opted off a bowl of Gumbo and my wife had a plate of tomato and cheese salad. We had water to during. When we got to the register I was surprised when Uncle Mick told me the bill was $15.95. Before this to dip out our gumbo he had to scrape he film off the pot. I expected muck more.

Driving to Florida and feeling hungry just north of Montgomery, we did a Yelp scan and saw all the great reviews so we ventured off the interstate to give it a try. So glad we did. Excellent Cajun food. The gumbo is the real thing. Uncle Mick let us sample several dishes before we decided. Shrimp a la creme was fab and the dirty rice was outstanding. What a wonderful, friendly place in a pretty Main Street setting. Highly recommend.

Uncle Mick's is a must try of you are in the area. Mick will welcome you, let you taste test before you order and treat you like family while you dine. The food is delicious and filling, everything you need when it comes to southern comfort food. Don't forget to try the bourbon dessert cake, it's a delicious and surprising taste that I'm sure few have been able to create before. I wasn't a fan of all the animals on the wall but other than those critters staring me down while we dined it was great dinning experience. I am a repeat customer:)

If you are driving by Prattville on I-65 and do not stop at Uncle Mick's you made a serious mistake. Home style cooking at its best. The red beans and rice is the best I ever had and I spend a lot of time in New Orleans (known for red beans and rice). Be sure to ask for the garlic bread to go with eat. The German Chocolate cake is obviously home made and is great also. Uncle Mick is super friendly and will dish up your food for you. The Lima beans are also wonderful. I plan to make a stop at Uncle Micks every time I travel down I-65. The place needs to be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Simply awesome! Very casual. Even the coffee was good. It doesn't get any better.

Uncle Mick's has been a raving success in the downtown Prattville district for quite some time now. The food is truly amazing and authentic, but as equally amazing and again authentic is the friendliness of their staff. If you're unsure of what you want you can sample every item there, sometimes to the point of getting full, until you find the item for you. There is one disservice done to the food at Uncle Mick's, though, it's served on styrofoam plates. That food deserves 5-star plating. I still love it. I guess styrofoam plates has become part of the experience. If you haven't been to Uncle Mick's do yourself a favor and go. You are definitely missing out on one of downtown's hidden gems.

This is the type of place you dream about on an unplanned vacation. Uncle Mick might as well have been our uncle. After asking what we had last time we were in and letting him know this was our first time in Prattville, he said "we'll then, It's time to do some tasting!" After finding the entree that hit each of our taste buds right, we grabbed a table on the back patio. Uncle Mick came out to see if the meal was to our liking, if we wanted more bread and when he noticed my Mrs. was a little chilled, he offered her "something to keep the cold away (i.e.- a jacket that he had in his office). The food is delicious, well priced, and a meal for $10 will fill you up. This is not a fancy restaurant, rather a local "hole-in-the-wall" that deserves to be enjoyed by those looking for something off the beaten path. I had the 'shrimp a la creme' and my wife had "1/2 alligator jambalaya-1/2 andouille jambalaya'. Bread is all-you-can-eat and they are not shy about bringing more. It is clear that the staff loves what they do and understand the service industry. If we're ever back through Prattville, Uncle Mick's will be at the top of our list.

LOVE this place. Great when you're in the mood for something a little different. Mick knows that Cajun isn't exactly a favorite for most kids and is always throwing extra bread, applesauce and fruit salad our way to keep the toddlers happy. We've definitely become regulars!

Fantastic food and unrivaled service. This is a perfect mom and pop shop. The food is really good cajan food. It was great to see red beans and rice, and alligator on a menu again.

Wasn't expecting something like this in the middle of Prattville and it was everything you'd want in authentic Cajun. They let you sample anything you're curious about, are super friendly, and everything was excellent. It's a little bit of a haul off the interstate but totally worth it.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Only annoying thing is the free samples. I don't really like waiting for those goobers trying to make up their mind on what food they want. Just a pet peeve of mine and I don't think Mick will change that.

Go experience uncle Micks! We went there last saturday night with another couple who had been to uncle Micks before, We walk in-- it is cafeteria style but don't let that freak you out-- the man behind the counter was amazing! he asked us if it was our first time there, we said yes--- then he proceeded to let us taste test every item! the food was yummo, service was above average and the price was great. also garlic bread was perfection :) enjoy fellow yelpers!

Solid 3.5. Possibly a more upon return trips. Great style of serving semi-buffet style. Food was well portioned and delicious. Good selection as well. Bit on the pricy end for mass buffet type service. Was welcomed by the owner at our table. Its obviously a place that has its operations and food well thought out. A plus for the town.

Great Cajun food not far from home. I had the Sampler Dinner with Crawfish Etouffee, Alligator & Sausage Piquante and Crab Meat au Gratin with sides of Cajun Potato Salad and Maque Choux. Bread Pudding with Brandy Sauce for dessert. You get a choice of main dishes and sides and the owner is there to serve you and see that your meal is to your liking. We will be back.

We showed up on Monday at 2:00pm when they closed for the day. The ownership could not be more hospitable. He offered to go back into the kitchen and get us our food (it had already been removed from the buffet line). Further, he suggested we sit in the rear meeting room and eat as the staff cleaned up the front. The A/C and TV was turned on for us. It was fantastic. The food was GREAT. It was a memorable meal. Do not miss this place.

Great food, ate way to much, cafeteria style but better, you get little samples of everything before buying alligator, fish, shrimp etc way to many to list, all great. Eight of us showed up 1/2 hour before closing, it wasn't a problem

Get off Highway 65, and GO!!! Amazing food and customer service. Perfect "southern hospitality." You'll remember this place, and want to go back. Worth the detour if your passing through and get hungry. Do it!!

Great place to eat! Awesome Cajun, reasonable price, great restaurant.

Was visiting from out of town on business. Stopped here on Main St to grab some lunch. The food was excellent and was pretty inexpensive. I like to try unique spots when I'm traveling and this fit the bill! I will definitely go again when I'm in the area.

Very good Cajun food. Try the crab and shrimp! Very friendly and welcoming to new customers. They let you try anything you want before you order and everything is well presented.

Fantastic food and unrivaled service. This is a perfect mom and pop shop. The food is really good cajan food. You get to order at a counter where all the food is laid out and he had no problem handing me samples so I made sure I got what I wanted.

Cajun potato salad, black eyed peas, buttermilk pie, shrimp and alligator over dirty rice - Excellent choice for tasty southern food. I wish they were in my backyard, i'd be here every week!

Great food. Uncle Mick is awesome and the kid's loved the food. I can see us coming here a lot during Lent.

(5)Nicole W.

(5)Sandra K.
Great place to eat I loved the atmosphere and experience! The people there couldn't have been nicer.
(5)Juanita R.
I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't because they serve on stirafoam plates. Awesome food! Awesome service! Will be back for sure.
(4)Vernon B.
Never disappointed! Great food, atmosphere, service and staff! Shrimp ala creme & crawfish ettoufee - every visit!
(5)Anna G.
(4)Brooks B.
(5)Tim M.
Great food, ate way to much, cafeteria style but better, you get little samples of everything before buying alligator, fish, shrimp etc way to many to list, all great. Eight of us showed up 1/2 hour before closing, it wasn't a problem
(5)Rob B.
(5)Jimmy C.
Got mine to go this time... Crawfish étouffée and the alligator piquante with dirty rice, corn machoux with tomato salad w/feta cheese. Once again, the food was outstanding! Keep up the excellent work, I'll be back!
(5)Rachel A.
(1)Jessi B.
We absolutely LOVE this place! The staff is so very nice and helpful! The food is amazing!! Every one in our group had a great experience and look forward to returning one day. This is a must go to place!!
(5)M H.
Dear sweet baby Jesus. I've been on the road for months now without writing a review as it's been a fairly bland string of restaurants of late. But this was amazing. I walked in and was immediately and warmly welcomed. My eyes were probably the size of dinner plates as I warily stared down my options. But never fear, samples are plentiful and delicious. I was half full before I even decided on anything! I ended up settling on the shrimp a la creme (absolutely my favorite and it don't even like creme sauces that much), crawfish étouffée, corn machoux, andouille green beans, sweet tea, and butter creme pie. I'm so fat and happy right now they're going to have to put me in a wheelbarrow to get me out to the car. Eat here, don't even consider one of those chain places or subpar sushi joints. I'm serious. Stop thinking about it. Eat here!
(5)Danielle B.
(5)Robert W.
Was visiting from out of town on business. Stopped here on Main St to grab some lunch. The food was excellent and was pretty inexpensive. I like to try unique spots when I'm traveling and this fit the bill! I will definitely go again when I'm in the area.
(5)CHAD H.
First time and not the last. Great food. Great prices. Great service. The next time I'm in Prattville I'll be back for surr.
(5)nakkal o.
Very friendly service. Great food! Nice decor. Did I say outstanding service already?
(5)Michael P.
(5)Angi S.
Excellent food and excellent service. If you aren't sure what you want, they let you sample a little of this and a little of that to help you decide what to order.
(5)Amanda M.
This is our very favorite restaurant. Any time we have visitors from out of town, we take them to Uncle Mick's, and everyone loves it. Everything is amazing, but the alligator picante is my favorite. The service never fails to be great. Uncle Mick's is a must-visit in Prattville.
(5)Jody D.
This place is awesome! The food is delicious. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. If it's your first time trying out the place, let him know! Get ready to sample everything. :) I would definitely recommend Uncle Mick's!
(5)Dick M.
Very good Cajun food. Try the crab and shrimp! Very friendly and welcoming to new customers. They let you try anything you want before you order and everything is well presented.
(5)Ashley M.
(5)Glenn C.
(5)J W.
(4)Harry P.
(3)Brian S.
We absolutely loved this place. Uncle Mick let us sample almost everything on the steam bar (at his suggestion) and then we made our choices. Great place, great service and great food. Will definitely go back when we pass through this area again.
(5)Ian S.
Absolutely incredible. It's cafeteria style, but don't let that deter you. The service is incredible and the food is out of this world. The best around!
(5)Emily K.
Great southern cookin! Uncle Mick is so personable and his food is great!
(5)Mike W.
Incredible food and atmosphere. We have been impressed every time we go there. Plus they want to do everything to ensure you choose something you might like and are happy when you leave. Your cheating yourself out of great food if you don't check Uncle Mick's out.
(5)Max S.
Great experience and dinner. We read about the place on yelp. We went towards 8pm on sat evening. It was great! We had several main courses and sides. Each was better than the last. We will be back!
(5)Erika A.
Great food and awesome staff!! Great family place, too :)
(5)Donna B.

(5)Melissa M.
Loved this place! From their hospitality to their amazing cuisine, it was a wonderful donning experience.
(5)Christopher M.
(5)Angelo M.
Whenever I come to Maxwell AFB, I stop by Uncle Mick's and get great food and warm greetings from the friendliest of friendliest people. I'm a big fan of the alligator al piquant and shrimp a la creme. Eat at Uncle Mick's - you will not be disappointed!
(5)Rebecca F.
(5)Julie G.
Yummy! What a great find on our travels. Wish we had Uncle Mick in the Napa Valley. Thanks for sharing good Southern food! Hit the spot:)
(5)Ron K.
Outstanding food and great service. Mick is super and makes every effort to ensure you are pleased with food. We always schedule our travel to this area to make we can eat here.
(5)Linda H.
(5)Barbara M.
(5)Nancy T.
Just happened by this downtown restaurant today. You stand in line and pick out food you want? It's Cajun and Creole and all is delicious! The owner is quite friendly We will definitely be back again
(5)Samuel J.
(5)Trea N.
(3)Joe E.
Best food in Prattville! The service is excellent too.....Uncle Mick is quite friendly as well. If you aren't sure of what you want, he will let you sample everything on the menu prior to ordering....If you go, be sure to try the Shrimp a'La Creme. It's delicious!
(5)Buck L.
(5)Mike W.
(1)David S.
(5)Tia A.
(4)Tony L.
Great food, amazing service! Probably the best restaurant that I have been to in Montgomery.
(5)Jason S.
Had lunch here yesterday and the service was great , wasn't sure what we wanted so as everyone said he let us try several different samples before we made our selection. Really nice environment in a really cool spot in town. Food was really good .. We will be back..
(3)Ralph G.
July 3rd my husband ate at uncle kicks and had the best dinner we have had in a while. We drove from Chattanooga ten for the parade and fire works and wanted Cajun food did we ever pick the right, we tried a lot of everything all great. If u are ever in prattville ala go there. Thank you uncle kicks for a great dinner Debbie and Ralph g
(5)James S.
(5)Chris W.
Great place to eat! Awesome Cajun, reasonable price, great restaurant.
(5)Jered J.
(5)Christopher M.
Great food. Uncle Mick is awesome and the kid's loved the food. I can see us coming here a lot during Lent.
(5)Zak K.
(5)Audra D.
LOVE this place. Great when you're in the mood for something a little different. Mick knows that Cajun isn't exactly a favorite for most kids and is always throwing extra bread, applesauce and fruit salad our way to keep the toddlers happy. We've definitely become regulars!
(5)Jeff L.
Awesome gumbo, very authentic Cajun food. Good prices, nice people.
(5)April J.
great food and great prices... very friendly service. the shrimp dish was great along with the boudins! can't wait to visit again.
(5)K. M.
tony is opening up a new restaurant for those that want to know. it will be located behind sonic, where the old huddle house used to be in millbrook, al. just something i thought i would share for those of you who love his food. spread the news!
(5)Brad C.
Fantastic food and unrivaled service. This is a perfect mom and pop shop. The food is really good cajan food. You get to order at a counter where all the food is laid out and he had no problem handing me samples so I made sure I got what I wanted. It was great to see red beans and rice, and alligator on a menu again.
(5)Steve S.
A hidden jewel of prattville. Excellent food and very courteous people. Awesome place to eat. Everything is yummy.
(5)Rufus J S.
Wasn't expecting something like this in the middle of Prattville and it was everything you'd want in authentic Cajun. They let you sample anything you're curious about, are super friendly, and everything was excellent. It's a little bit of a haul off the interstate but totally worth it.
(5)LeKeyshia P.
Amazing Food, Amazing crew, Amazing place. Its nice to TRY before you BUY. Dessert wasn't the best but main meal is to die for!
(5)James P.
Cajun potato salad, black eyed peas, buttermilk pie, shrimp and alligator over dirty rice - Excellent choice for tasty southern food. I wish they were in my backyard, i'd be here every week!
(5)Karl C.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Only annoying thing is the free samples. I don't really like waiting for those goobers trying to make up their mind on what food they want. Just a pet peeve of mine and I don't think Mick will change that.
(4)T S.
Get off Highway 65, and GO!!! Amazing food and customer service. Perfect "southern hospitality." You'll remember this place, and want to go back. Worth the detour if your passing through and get hungry. Do it!!
(5)Tra S.
(5)Jake H.
(3)Kheira A.
Just amazing. Everything is delicious and Uncle Mick lets you taste what you want so that you order your fave thing. Great atmosphere, great food and amazing service. A MUST visit!!!
(5)Robert M.
(5)Erika A.
Great food and awesome staff!! Great family place, too :)
(5)April J.
great food and great prices... very friendly service. the shrimp dish was great along with the boudins! can't wait to visit again.
(5)Adam F.
(5)Nicole W.
(4)Sean W.
(5)Jeff K.
Excellent dinning experience, my wife and I have been to Prattville several time always wanted to eat here , finally made it , great Cajun food great people will definitely do it again

(5)Juanita R.
I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't because they serve on stirafoam plates. Awesome food! Awesome service! Will be back for sure.
(4)Ted R.
(5)Vernon B.
Never disappointed! Great food, atmosphere, service and staff! Shrimp ala creme & crawfish ettoufee - every visit!
(5)Anna G.
(4)Brooks B.
(5)Tim M.
Great food, ate way to much, cafeteria style but better, you get little samples of everything before buying alligator, fish, shrimp etc way to many to list, all great. Eight of us showed up 1/2 hour before closing, it wasn't a problem
(5)T S.
Get off Highway 65, and GO!!! Amazing food and customer service. Perfect "southern hospitality." You'll remember this place, and want to go back. Worth the detour if your passing through and get hungry. Do it!!
(5)Chris W.
Great place to eat! Awesome Cajun, reasonable price, great restaurant.
(5)Rob B.
(5)Jimmy C.
Got mine to go this time... Crawfish étouffée and the alligator piquante with dirty rice, corn machoux with tomato salad w/feta cheese. Once again, the food was outstanding! Keep up the excellent work, I'll be back!
(5)Rachel A.
Eat here!
(5)Robert W.
Was visiting from out of town on business. Stopped here on Main St to grab some lunch. The food was excellent and was pretty inexpensive. I like to try unique spots when I'm traveling and this fit the bill! I will definitely go again when I'm in the area.
(5)Danielle B.
(5)CHAD H.
First time and not the last. Great food. Great prices. Great service. The next time I'm in Prattville I'll be back for surr.
(5)nakkal o.
Very friendly service. Great food! Nice decor. Did I say outstanding service already?
(5)Michael P.
(5)Dave D.
Excellent food in a very friendly atmosphere. Dishes are ready to serve so we tried free samples of many of the items. The Shrimp a la Creme was very rich and delicious. I then got a order of Crawfish Étouffée to go (for the next day's lunch).
(5)Donna B.
(5)Brad S.
(5)Christopher M.
(5)Julie G.
(5)Linda H.
(5)Ashley M.
(5)Glenn C.
(5)Melissa M.
Loved this place! From their hospitality to their amazing cuisine, it was a wonderful donning experience.
(5)Barbara M.
(5)Nancy T.
Just happened by this downtown restaurant today. You stand in line and pick out food you want? It's Cajun and Creole and all is delicious! The owner is quite friendly We will definitely be back again
(5)Samuel J.
(5)Trea N.
(3)Joe E.
Best food in Prattville! The service is excellent too.....Uncle Mick is quite friendly as well. If you aren't sure of what you want, he will let you sample everything on the menu prior to ordering....If you go, be sure to try the Shrimp a'La Creme. It's delicious!
(5)Buck L.
(5)Mike W.
(1)David S.
(5)Tia A.
(5)James S.
(4)Tra S.
(5)Jake H.
(3)Kheira A.
Just amazing. Everything is delicious and Uncle Mick lets you taste what you want so that you order your fave thing. Great atmosphere, great food and amazing service. A MUST visit!!!
(5)Robert M.
(5)Jered J.
(5)Christopher M.
Great food. Uncle Mick is awesome and the kid's loved the food. I can see us coming here a lot during Lent.
(5)J W.
(4)Harry P.
(5)Zak K.
(5)K. M.
tony is opening up a new restaurant for those that want to know. it will be located behind sonic, where the old huddle house used to be in millbrook, al. just something i thought i would share for those of you who love his food. spread the news!
