A really great experience. Stayed on the first floor which had a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was amazing. A large claw foot tub with cushions, a separate, double headed shower and many local soaps and lotions. The breakfast was excellent with fresh made eggs, bacon and coffee. The owners really friendly and very accommodating. Definitely will stay here again.

This is a great place, definitely worth the visit. The scones were fresh baked, and the best I've had in a while. Large selection of teas, which are "bottomless," meaning your pot gets refilled as much as you want and you can even switch to another tea at no extra charge. Great place to spend an afternoon relaxing in a 100 year old plus Victorian house with original styling. Bring friends or a book. Open 12-5.

We went here yesterday and I was impressed with the HUGE selection of tea that they have. They have excellent tea sandwiches and pastries to go with their bottomless tea at a very reasonable/affordable price! If you don't like the tea you selected, they'll even brew you a fresh batch of some other tea you'd like to try instead! They also have a great gift shop with all things related to tea! The place is run and owned by a husband and wife team and it is obvious that they're still doing a lot of changes on the house itself and the lot behind. The downside though is if there's too many guests, the service time might suffer a bit.

My mother comes here with my sister and her daughters every visit. Today was my first. David and Beth are in the process of renovating the entire place themselves and have done great deal of research to make the redo historically accurate. The outside may look a bit run down during this process but in no way reflects on the quality of the food or service. Don't let this grand lady and a princess tea pass by you. You get a wide range of teas to choose from and the pots are bottomless. If you don't care for the tea you have chosen, it will be gladly swapped out for a different variety. The Princess Tea includes fresh scones, finger sandwiches and desserts. It does not look like a lot of food but I was pleasantly full at the end of the service. I would recommend this to just spend a nice relaxing afternoon.

Someone mentioned the Smith-Byrd House in passing, but I had to try it because I am a huge fan of tea time. The owners were wonderful and made me feel right at home. They made great recommendations for my tea choice. We had the Queen's tea, which was $21. It included a nice salad, a generous slice of quiche, and a three tier tray of fresh out of the oven scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts. Plus, they serve bottomless pots of tea, and you can swap flavors. Everything was delicious! The price may seem high to some, but I have had more expensive teas in England that were not nearly as tasty. Also, they do serve less expensive options that are just as good. You need to be very hungry to eat everything served with the Queen's tea. The gift shop is nicely stocked, too. Be sure to call for reservations.

I recently moved to Prattville and brought my mother-in-law here while she was visiting. We had the Tea for Two. The scones were perfect size and delicious. The rest of the food was tasty and I enjoyed my personal pot of tea. I had the Hunan and Margaret's Hope which is one of my favorites. Very relaxing experience and great atmosphere and service. I will return soon.

I really wish I could give this place a 5. Stayed in the downstairs room. It was a great room with an incredible bath. The breakfast was wonderful and the tea is outstanding. The only reason for the 4 is the house is in repair. The owners are wonderful. I was not sure about it when I pulled up. I will be back. Such a wonderful place for us travelers.

A very nice stay. Reasonably priced and the fruit scones with curdled creme are to-die-for. My wife loves tea and enjoyed both evening tea and tea with breakfast. The owners joined us for breakfast and the conversation was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the refinished bathroom was elegantly redone. Our only concern is that there were two cockroaches that we found (one living, one already dead) in our bathroom. This is less of an issue for me, but my wife is deathly afraid of the critters. Overall, we would highly recommend this B&B and will likely return if we pass through Prattville again.
