I am COMPLETELY CRAZY about my COFFEE!!!! With that being said, this place exceeded my expectations! Adorable theme throughout, criminal justice related. Drinks come in sizes of Warning, Misdemeanor & Felony. Extremely clean. They offer food. We had an evening party of about 12. The one lady show behind the counter was wonderful in getting hand crafted drinks and food out promptly! Now on to the good stuff......I ordered a water which came out in a cute glass. Then here came my Warning (small) size breve latte. I wasn't sure what to expect....were my taste buds going to be happy? Or, disappointed in yet another mediocre latte? With slow uncertainty, I raised the cute ceramic cup to my mouth & took the smallest sip....CRAPTASTIC.....PHENOMENAL!!! The shots were not bitter at all, the amount of foam perfection, the creaminess of the steamed half & half soothing...I instantly smiled knowing I had found a local jewel. I tried to contain my excitement as to not scare the ladies I was with, but I truly zoned out for a moment and saw/heard nothing.....just the calming of this perfect local latte! Cost....average for a locally owned coffee shop. Think it was $4. No minimum credit card charge. They have a drive thru which adds cool points. The only downside to this cute place are the hours......would love to see them open longer hours.

My wife and I went to MSJ every Saturday when we lived in Prattville. The baked goods are delicious and homemade. The "Ooey gooey cinnamon rolls" are especially good. My favorite drink is the pumpkin spice mocha, with real pumpkin. The dirty chai is tasty as well. The brewed coffee is decent, but I wouldn't write home about it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; Tricia even knows her customers by name.

Great place! I stopped here based on the Yelp reviews and it met the level of praise. The do coffee perfectly rather than trying to do a million things poorly. Talk to the owner, she's awesome and knowledgable and will help you find the perfect fit for your coffee need.

The drinks are delicious, the food is home made goodness, and the owner and her friends - I mean, staff - are willing to do anything in their power to make your experience an enjoyable one. I just wish it was closer to my home or work, or had later hours. I'd be there far more often.

We stopped by this little gem on our road trip through the south. We live by Yelp reviews and suggestions while on trips, and this place lived up to the reviews! The owner and her employee were extremely friendly and easy to chat with. We found ourselves feeling quite comfortable asking them questions about the local area, and they have great suggestions of what to do/not to do. They really took time out of their day to chat with a couple of travelers, and made us feel at home. As for the food/coffee, the cinnamon sugar scone was a delightfully sweetened masterpiece. I ordered the mocha frappe with an extra shot blended in. I'm a very hard sell when it comes to my mocha frappes. This is my favorite drink, so I'm very opinionated about them. Well, let me tell you: it was not too sweet (most are too sweet... And I have the biggest sweet tooth, so that is saying something). The coffee flavor really came through as well. My friend got a dirty chai which she says was very good! As for the ambiance, it was very cute and comfortable. Loved it. We would definitely come back. :)

We went off the freeway to avoid the standard coffee shops and discovered this little gem. If I lived near here, this would be a regular spot. A few comfy chairs and some tables. The staff was helpful and friendly. I was going to order a 12 ounce Americano with 3 shots. Barista told me their espresso is very rich and we should do 2 shots then add one if needed. She was right. Excellent beans! Yes, they have mugs. Only nondairy milk is soy. Their chai is made from a powdered dairy-based base. Too many ingredients for me to be interested in this even if I used dairy products. A nice addition to this shop is they have a free library: take or drop a book. They have some good options for breakfast or lunch as well as pastries. My husband enjoyed the cinnamon bites. This is a small shop and barista may need to answer the phone. If you get decaf, confirm it is decaf when you pick it up.

Everything a coffee shop should be. Quality products, great friendly vibe, and a hands-on, local owner. This would be a gem in any city. In Prattville, it's astounding.

What a great little coffee shop! I'm a major coffee snob, having spent the better half of a decade drinking coffee in Philly and NYC. I'm here in Montgomery temporarily, and I wasn't expecting much in the coffee scene. After a 5K race, I gave this place a chance, and I'm so glad I did. The owner is super nice and helpful, and the cup of house coffee was so delicious. I drink my coffee black. That's how you know it was good. Some nice features about the place: it's clean and open, there's a parking lot, there are comfortable chairs and a couch as well as plenty of tables, they have WiFi, they have a bookshelf full of books you can take with you or trade with a book of your own, and the bathroom is really nice (this matters to me), and even a drive-thru, although I would much rather go inside and enjoy drinking my coffee in a mug with a book. I went to another coffee shop in the area later in the afternoon to make it a day of coffee, but the other place (Cafe Louisa) really wasn't very good. It has decent reviews on Yelp, but the coffee couldn't compare to the coffee I had at Mug Shots.

This place is awesome! They have the best coffee around and tons of items on the menu. A great place to sit and have excellent coffee, with a relaxing setting and free WiFi. They always have different foods to try as well. The owners really take care of you and they are extremely friendly.
