Rarely do I take my time to write a review for fast food...but this really warranted it! Summary- Worst customer service I have seen, horribly overpriced and absolutely no selection. Can't get an order right so if you are in a hurry pass this by. Below is my long-winded rant: Really amazingly disappointed and frustrated at recent visit to Hardees. I used to go to Hardees all the time as a teenager. They had roast beef and grilled chicken sandwiches and fried chicken and reasonable prices. Today I was surprised to find almost no selection, but that most of the sandwiches (by themselves) were close to $5.00 and a meal close to $7.00. Why wouldn't I just go to a real restaurant if I were going to pay those prices? But the main reason I am writing this is because of the total inability of the staff to take care of the customers. There seemed to be 4 staff members visible and 2 customers waiting for their order when we arrived. That's it...no one at the drive thru. The staff were talking at very loud voice tones to each other in an excited manner. I could not make out anything that they were saying and I could not determine if they were angry or pressured. The staff person who took our order made very little eye contact and barely raised her head up. She would not or could not speak to us in anything other than a slight whisper. My girlfriend ordered a salad and asked what type of dressing they had. The staff person said something like "Ranch." My girlfriend asked if they offered Italian and the staff said, "I don't know..its up there." The staff pointed to the board at the chicken strip dipping sauces. As this was going on, a woman who had been waiting for her order was getting increasingly agitated at the wait time and she began speaking with another staff person. When she got her order, it was incorrect and she had to take it back and have it re-done. My girlfriend asked for a milkshake without a whipped topping. The staff person seemed confused about this and when the order popped up on the order confirmation display on back of the register it showed "Milkshake with whip topping." When my girlfriend stated again that she wanted no whipped topping the staff person seemed to say something like "I can't do it without." When I placed my order I asked for a "Little Thickburger Combo with only mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles and no cheese" and a chocolate shake. The order came out about 5 minutes later. The salad looked good and fresh. But my hamburger had cheese, ketchup, and mustard on it. My milkshake was supposed to be chocolate but it seemed to be a vanilla shake with a very inadequate amount of chocolate syrup in it. I took the sandwich back to the line. There were 4 customers in line; no one seemed to be at the drive thru and only one staff person at the register. She saw me in line with my sandwich in my hand, but made no effort to call one of the other staff people up to the register to help speed up her line or to address my concern. In my thinking if the staff person sees that a customer who has already placed an order and is now back in my line with a sandwich in their hand..then something is wrong with the order and it needs to be addressed quickly. When I was finally able to speak with her, I explained what was wrong with the sandwich and repeated my initial order. "Hamburger with mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles only." She said, "Cheeseburger with mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles." Again I had to say that I did not want cheese. She said, "Hamburger, no cheese with mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles only." I said, "correct" and she placed the order. I then heard the staff person in back call out to her, "Cheeseburger with mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles." I then corrected him and finally got my order placed. The sandwich was disappointingly small..especially considering the price. Hardees has really gone downhill. The menu options are poor, the prices are inflated, and the staff at this restaurant were not able to observe the most basic customer service tasks. At no time while I was there were the staff working with more than 4 customers at a time and they could not handle that.
