1st off....the fried pickles. Well, they would've been good had they been sliced thicker. They were so paper thin and fried with a cornmeal batter on them. So you almost couldn't taste the pickle in them...you just know you were eating something fried. And a little grease floating in the bottom of the basket. However....I can overlook that because my ribeye steak cooked mid-rare was to die for...cooked perfect. Baked potatoes dusted with sea salt were small, but just right for me and tastes really good. My hubby had the hamburger steak cooked medium and it's awesome too. Service was good...food was good...atmosphere was good. I started off with only 3 stars because of the pickles, but as soon as our steaks got there...one bite changed our minds. We'll definitely return.

The fried mushrooms were very good. The mushroom Swiss burger was absolutely horrible. We waited 55 minutes after our mushrooms came out even though our order was turned in all at once. Finally lunch was served- a pre made half cooked burger with three mushrooms and the saltiest gravy I've ever had. The cheese on it was okay bit the burger was cold and the mushroom gravy tasted like someone made it that was a chronic smoker with zero taste buds. The fries were probably second to the worst I've ever had and the ketchup had to have been bought at the dollar store. 2 teas, 2 mushroom Swiss burgers with fries and 1 order of fried mushrooms 36 dollars later I'm thinking even McDonald's would have left a better taste in my mouth for half this price.

Ended up here by accident. Reading the rest of the reviews, I guess I should have gone with something fried. I wanted a salad so I ordered the Fiesta Salad. How can you mess up salad? Apparently Fincher's can ! ! ! The lettuce was mostly wilted. I even picked a few brown pieces out. Should have sent it back.

Fincher's moved from their location near Logan-Martin dam about a year ago. Always have delectable catfish. Service is friendly and attentive. The specials are always great. New location is near I-20, easy access.

Fincher's has a great local reputation. Burgers are pretty fantastic and the fried fare is better than most. If you're craving country cooking, it beats the pants off of chains like Cracker Barrel.

Fired okra and sweet potato fries were very tasty! Loved the sweet tea served in a 24oz mason jar.
