Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My family and I love Aztecas! We have never had bad service the past 8 years that we've been going!

I came in one wed late around 7:45 and there were five tables including four tables pushed together for a young boy's birthday party that was finishing up. The kids were probably four and out of control running around and having fun. While I was there people just kept coming in. I ordered the dos tacos which came with rice and beans. The tacos were beef and the shells were hard corn. Chips were warm and salsa and cheese sauce were good. I thought that the taco platter had great flavor. Beans and Spanish rice, which I'm not a fan, tasted authentic and fresh. The beef reminded me of legit Mexican food. I'd been here one other time with a group from work at lunchtime. Both times had solid performance. Most Servers and kitchen help speak broken English.

First visit and we will definitely be back! Service was amazing and so was the food! Everyone in my party of 6 was pleased. Enough food for to go boxes.

This place is just going through the motions of being a mexican restaurant. I am being generous with 2 stars. Bland salsa, so so chips, below average service. Fajitas were ok but corn tortillas stuck together. Edible yes, but can think of no reason to ever go back.

The hotel recommended "the other" Mexican restaurant, but since I'm so much smarter, I checked the reviews on Yelp to make my choice. I arrived at round 7:15Pm and the parking lot was pretty full. As it turned out, the cars were for the restaurant next door. So much for smarts. I was quickly seated and my cocktail, chips and salsa arrived quickly. The chips were warm and the salsa was tasty, so I decided to indulge and ordered the Large Mexican Platter. It included: Chili Relleno, beef taco, burrito, enchilada AND a chicken flauta. I requested no rice. In a very short time, my 2 large platters arrived... exactly as I had ordered. I chose to start with the chili relleno, because it showed the most promise. I chose wisely (this time). This dish was fresh and the poblano was appropriately spicy. It was also covered in queso fundito, which is a cheese and chorizo sauce. It was pretty darn good! Now, the not so good.... Each of the other items included an overly salted, off tasting ground meat product. The flauta even had a strangely coarse ground chicken-like product, equally as salty and off-tasting. After the tasty chili relleno poblano, the rest of the meal was sadly disappointing. My server was attentive, but aloof. I could tell that he was disappointed that I didn't want to take my leftovers away with me, but I couldn't bear to kill a stryofoam tree for nothing. Sadly, I would only recommend this restaurant for a Food Network Restaurant Makover.

Meh, I always judge a new Mexican place by the Chimichanga. I was happy to see they offer shredded beef which is rare in the south for some reason. It was very unimpressive especially considering the price. Service was very fast but there was no one else in there (kinda odd for noon on a weekday don't ya think?). It wasn't bad but it had no spice, barely any sauce and the beef was kinda funky. Very mushy and the shreds were extremely fine which leads me to believe it was old. I won't return there especially considering El Cazador is awesome and basically in the same shopping center.

Very good food. My husband and I are from Texas, so we know what real TexMex food is. And this is very good. The beans are fresh refried beans. The Food is fresh. And tasty. Decent size servings, and excellent service.

Hotel said it was good and they were right! There were 8 of us and everyone loved what they ordered. You can tell a good mexican place by their chips, salsa and Margaritas which were all really good. We will go back next year!

My chicken chalupa was tasty, but my spouse didn't enjoy his chicken enchilada - he felt the meat was barely recognizable, and there are no sauce options.
