The absolute worst place to eat!! It is nasty, the manager should be ashamed!! When there was food out on the buffet it was garbage. I will never ever go back to a Golden Corral!

Sunday dinner comes out to $13 with drink per adult. You are paying about 2x what you pay at Cici's Pizza, and this place is at least twice as good. Golden Corral epitomizes everything wrong about Americans pigging out, but this particular one, in Pelham, is one of the largest Golden Corral's I've been in; it even has a special room you can rent out for parties and stuff. If you want to stay healthy, fill up on the salads and veggies and then you won't be tempted by all the fried seafood, steaks, grilled fajita meat and so forth. It is a notch or two above your average college dining hall, because it has so many varieties of things to choose from.

I stopped in to eat here after volunteering all night at a fitness event in nearby Oak Mountain, so I was in a state of almost total exhaustion and delirium. However, what I do remember from my punch-drunk state were three things: a lot of breakfast options; spectacularly well-made, albeit butter-laden omelets; a chocolate waterfall that was tasty at 8:30 a.m. Look, it's a chain, so stop reviewing it like it's some intimate brunch spot!

Lots of food choices, love the steak made to order. Can get pretty packed on weekends, so yes sometime tables may be piled with dishes, but the waiters do try their best. Wish there was more aisle spacing between tables but otherwise good place when you're looking to go full on munchies attack.

Stopped here with my family for dinner after traveling all day. Walked in and the place smelled like a dirty dumpster cleaned with a dirty dish rag. We were so hungry we continued into the restaurant thinking the smell would dissipate. When looking for a seat the entire place still stunk! We then tested the smell in the party room and it didn't smell as bad in there. The waitress told us that the party room was closed. We asked for a refund and then she allowed us to stay in there. If we hadn't been so hungry we would have found a new place. The food wasn't that bad after we finally sat down but walking to get food each time was killing my appetite. The waitress said they had cleaned the carpets the night before. They must have not allowed the carpets to dry? Replace the old carpets and get rid of the smell and then a 3 star rating is valid.

My friend and I decided to try something a little different while in Alabama so we went to Golden Corral on the 20th of May. Everything seemed fine, the food looked good, plenty of choices and not too crowded. The first sign of a problem was when my friend asked one of the preparers what kind of cheese was offered in the salad section. The woman didn't understand or speak English! The second sign came when we couldn't find a clean table! Third sign was a kid was playing in the chocolate fountain and dropped only God knows what into the fountain! The third and final sign? I FOUND A BUG IN MY SALAD!!!! I don't think that I have ever felt myself go from complete happiness to utter revulsion so quickly. My friend went to the front to ask for the manager (Linda) who was nice enough to come over and witness the little creature laying on his back with his legs in the air. Linda was very nice to refund our money and apologize. I just hope that they make sure the food.....ANY AND ALL FOOD....is properly rinsed and prepped. My advice to everyone? Don't believe what good things you hear and read because you unfortunately have to be there to believe it.

Had Saturday dinner there. The restaurant was nice and clean and very well-lit. The server kept drinks refreshed. The buffet had a large variety of salads, entrees, sides, veggies, breads, and desserts. The food, which was standard old-country fare, was high-quality - like it was served in a home dinner and not a cafeteria - and, most importantly, delicious. Dinner is $11 with tax and tip (no drink).

Food is Great. Buffet is great. Restaurant is newly remodeled and clean. Watch out for a manager named Lisa she is one unprofessional inexperienced rude cookie. She was yelling at an employee for the whole dining room to hear. my husband happened to walk up, not knowing what he was walking into. He tried to asked a question in the middle of her spectacle. She turned and looked at my husband and with a mean look that could kill and asked "YES?" as if he were bothering her. She never changed her tone just answered the question, rolled her eyes back over to the employee and continued to yell and scold the grown man. The whole dining room was amazed at the scene she made advertising to whole restaurant how dirty the grill was.
