Friendly people and top tier sushi! I travel all over the US and was skeptical about the words "Sushi" and "Alabama" in the same sentence. But my fears were for naught! I had a smoked salmon hand roll plus a shrimp crunch roll and both were delicious. Clean restaurant and friendly, accommodating service. It's a sound choice for sushi.

I was very disappointed in this place. The cook was great The food was average at best The Nigiri Tuna... tasted very fishy. After the first bite my immediate thought was I hope I do not get sick.

I have eaten here countless times since its opening. Little tip that you will definitely want to take in to account-the portions are HUGE (when ordering from the hibachi section). I have always had to take home a box full of rice. Also, if you love your veggies there aren't many when you order chicken hibachi, steak, etc so you may want to tell them to make you a little more veggies. I always do! Any of their sushi is excellent quality. I have actually stopped getting hibachi meals and just have been sticking to sushi. Their sashimi is also very good quality! Everything is a tad pricy though (not outrageous) just so that you're forewarned. Favorite sushi rolls: Tiger, spider, fire, and any of the fried rolls (which I don't eat anymore based on my diet haha, but they're definitely delicious) I have also tried the Korean barbecue once. It was very different and tasty. But, I think I'll be sticking to my sushi for a while and venturing out on those!

Outstanding, I try to visit a sushi restraunt each new city I go to and this is a top 5. I had the volcano and black dragon. I am a huge sushi eater 5 to 6 each time. These I could only do two. This will be a repeat anytime I'm here!

I just loved this place. The service was great and they were so nice! Tuesday was 50% off certain specialty rolls. I ordered three huge rolls and a beer = $26. Great deal! Plus, I sat at the sushi bar and the chef have me a few extra treats! Wed is 50% off wine bottles and Thurs is a deal on Hibachi! Really enjoyed it and will def be back during my visit to Oxford.

Good sushi! Also some Thai and Korean specialties (owners are Korean) so you know it's gonna be good Korean!

As good as NYC hibachi and the sushi is good too. Just delicious and Andrew Zimmerman from Bizarre Foods came here!

The server was patient as we read the large menu. We ordered sushi and hibachi. It all came out fast. We never ran out of drinks. Not only were we entertained by the exceptionally funny and talented cook, we love the perfectly cooked chicken and steak and shrimp.

Great food! We had Korean Barbeque....it rocked. Totally would order it again. Way to go guys. Owner came to the table and cooked it for us. Love the yellow bean paste.

Very tasty.everything is fresh. Steamed rice cooked to perfection. Large servings.; and we were there for lunch.

Had dinner here with my family of 4 along with my nephew and his wife. They live in Oxford and eat at Yume at least once a week as it is one of their favorite places. Any dish ordered from the menu is a very large portion. You my consider sharing any dish from the hibachi as they are huge. No complaints. Entree were good as well as sushi rolls ordered. Wait staff was very helpful and friendly, quick to refill our beverages. The only compliant would be the delay between our entrees as some in our party were served 10-15 minutes before others. Other than that, we had a good time and a good meal.

The hibachi steak and shrimp is off the chain. I have had better shrimp fried rice but moderate. Clean resturant and good waitresses.

Absolutely awesome.... I make a point to eat here whenever I can. The sushi is alway been of the highest quality beautifully presented.

I had a bad experience. Drinks very overpriced, service poor but may be due to newer staff, basil curry dish had very little evidence of basil, garlic OR curry. Just a few sad chunks of chicken in a very bland brown sauce. The sushi seemed to be popular with others and the hibachi chef elicited a few laughs. The atmosphere is appealing, very clean and open.

The highlight of this place is the service! Our server was very nice and accommodated every request we had (even a fried egg, sunny side up...) The sushi chef was also extremely attentive and added an order of sushi just because I had a question on the first order he sent me. It's nice that they have Japanese, Korean and Thai food in the same place so a big group can come and everyone finds something to enjoy. If you're in the area, don't miss it!

So delicious! We love coming here for a nice dinner out! The chefs are wonderful and the waiters are always amazing! They give a great show and don't mind a bit of back and forth banter just for fun! Always a blast and the food is amazing!!!

Their sushi is gross. Their version of a volcano roll is more like a saucy casserole dish. It's not authentic at all. Most of the people who like this place, have never had descent sushi. None of the sushi I had tasted that fresh.

Great sushi and easy to get to from I-20! The sushi is the best I have had in AL or GA in several years! I am going to try the hibachi at some point.

This place is so so overall. I ordered shrimp and veggie tempura, shrimp is not fully clean out, and veggie is not cook through ( sweet potato is raw inside).. The black dragon roll has too much eel, it has too much soft bones in the eel, very difficult to eat. However, this maybe normal, the taste was just okay. Sake is pretty good, nothing especially. Sashimi taste normal as well. The waitress is extremely friendly. She asked about my opinion at the end, I told her all these issue. She had the manager over, they both understand the issue and apologized about it. However, when I get the check, nothing was removed, I have to pay everything even thought there is issue with some of the food. I don't mind paying for everything, however, I think the restaurant should do better to its customer as courtesy.

Yume was just okay. The hostess was overwhelmed on a sort of busy night. So we sat at the bar side. It took 5 minutes to be greated at the table. We placed the order. The apps came out at different times as our meals did also. When the bartender came to check on us I was informed I was not eating my meal correctly. Even though it had great decor and the food was pretty food I has issues with service. Next time in the area I will go somewhere else.

I happened upon this restaurant on a work trip. My coworkers and I ended up eating here for dinner EVERY NIGHT that we were there for a week. Since then, we went back again for work and returned to this restaurant and received the same excellent dining experience. The owners remembered us and frequently checked to make sure that we were enjoying our time there. They have excellent sushi, great, specials, and large meal portions. We will be back!

Love this place. We eat here once a month when my husband has drill. Great food, service and atmosphere

The place is well decorated & sets a nice atmosphere to eat in. Service was attentive and super friendly. For $13, I got Ika (3 pieces), spicy tuna roll and a ginger salad. All were delicious. The ginger dressing was runny, but did not lack in flavor. The wasabi was extra hot, so beware! Overall, great dining experience. They only lose a star for the super runny dressing and the fact that they DO NOT have fortune cookies which was extremely disappointing considering I base ALL life decisions on them! They have an extensive menu that includes: Japanese, Korean, Thai. From their Facebook page: New Dining experience featuring Japanese Hibatchi, Korean BBQ cooked on the table with fresh lettuce wrap with rice and delicious side dishes, and Authentic Thai dishes. We also feature a fully stocked Bar, Sashimi, and Sushi.

Excellent service. Hamachi was fresh and delicious. Black Dragon roll was amazing. MUCH BETTER quantity and quality than Fuji.

Wonderful! Oxford rolls were great as well as spicy tuna, didn't care for the ika so much. Had massaman shrimp the next night and it was great, large portions, good service

Absolutely horrible. The other day I came here and ordered a few sushi rolls, one of them had that distinctive "fishy" taste although I couldn't really be sure which component was responsible. I didn't finish my roll that night, should have taken the hint. Tonight I was STARVING and they are right out the front door of my hotel, so I decided to give them another shot with the cooked menu. I ordered the hibachi chicken/steak/shrimp. Big mistake. Totally inedible, sent it back. The steak was well-done and chewy when I had ordered medium, but the shrimp was the worst part. The first bite I took, I nearly spit it out, it tasted rotten. It's always a bad sign when it's almost impossible to bite a peeled shrimp in half or cut it in half with a fork. The meat on the plate was swimming in a salty brown broth and the noodles were soggy and overcooked. The hostess was very nice, the waitress was doing her best, the manager was apologetic, every waiter offered to fill my water as I was waiting to pay for the soup I consumed, so I'm sure this place has potential, but I find it insulting to be served a disaster of a plate that I wouldn't eat on a dare. Never going back. Ever.

Good food, had the massaman shrimp dish 1 night, then sushi the next. Recommend it!

Loved the Tiger and Rainbow rolls and got a complimentary fruit dessert from the chef at the end. The owner was around, making sure I was happy with my lunch experience. Good roll size and fair price. The only negative thing was the pop Japanese music playing. :)
