This is ALWAYS great!! I have never been dissappointed in Panda's food or fast, fast delivery!!! Quality & consistency is always there and that means a lot to me! Try all of their dishes-I always tell my husband that "this" one is my favorite, then try something else & then it's my favorite!! I recommend them highly!

Staying overnight for an offroad event, I found this place. Ordered a Hot&Sour Soup and Ma Po Tofu to go right before closing. Woman told me I was the first customer who'd ever ordered that. I usually start a review of a Chinese place by the quality of their H&S soup. This version was very decent, although I found they put a bit too much bamboo shoot in the mix, an ingredient that is totally unnecessary. The tofu dish was fair; tofu well cooked, but a generic brown sauce with a few vegs tossed in. Tasty but hardly authentic. Total bill with tax was $10. Probably between 2 and 3 stars, but awared 3 for trying plus friendliness of the staff.

I've had their food probably a couple dozen times. Never been disappointed except for the Pad Thai has way too much lemon/limeness going on. Otherwise, the food, in general is as good or better than any other Chinese place in the Oxford / Anniston area. Strangely, they will not deliver west of Noble St. in Anniston (I did get them to make an exception, but had to do it in person and after they recognized that I ordered fairly often).

Ordered a large order for delivery because it is close to my Hotel. Man, they are trying, I will give them that, but let me warn you, more selections does not equate to a better restaurant! I spent the extra money and ordered the seafood hot and sour soup of two, and the rest was from their Spicy red curry, and Singapore noodles. As mentioned by other yelpers, the serving size was decent. It was the food that was the problem. You can ALWAYS grade Chinese restaurants by their soups! Why!? because to the majority of Chinese restaurants, that is where they either spend the time and prepare the soup with fresh ingredients, or it is a "garbage disposal" where they get rid of food that is about to be questionable! Panda Chinese is the later! The soup was not even close to passable, actually it was the egg drop soup with some peppers added, and some of their cheap soy-sauce to darken the color. So the hot was their, but not sour at all! As I said I paid the extra, and their justification for calling it "seafood" and charging extra was a couple of imitation crab pieces! Not cool, not cool at all....you don't mess with my Hot and Sour soup! lol I was torn between two stars and three stars, the only reason it did not get one star, is because the spicy curry was passable, but he Singapore noodles where a joke! It was not Singapore noodles at all! as a matter of fact it was more Chinese style noodles that anything else. It had that weird "Chinese" stench to it, that over powering smell that you get ONLY when you walk into a Chinese grocery? (I really need to know what causes that, because it literally makes me sick when I smell/taste it) We have something similar in Korea, but it is an herb that is used in herbal tonics, NOT food. I know it could be seen a picky, but I was ordering from a hotel, and they included 6 forks, but no spoon? Additionally, the liquid starch additive that is SO common in fast food, you know they cook about a cup of it in the wok to get the flavor out, and they start cooking.... no? Than consider how fast you are full and then hungry again after American Chinese?..lol Seriously, if you in Oxford, AL, and you are craving Chinese, look else where, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area... I have to be here for another week, so I will let you know if I find a better place... Cheers!

I was in Oxford for a week and got their flyer from the hotel front desk. My friend and I ordered in from them twice and had it delivered. The food was great. It wasn't anything too special but what we did have was tasty and a good amount too. We ordered one thing each with egg rolls and we both had leftovers. I'm so picky when it comes to egg rolls but they were delicious and wasn't dripping with grease. The only thing I didn't like was their sushi. Try to stay away from the small selection of their rolls. The teriyaki wasn't your typical overly sweet kind either but delicious with vegetables. They certainly didn't skimp on any ingredients in any of the dishes either. The delivery guy was courteous but I was a bit uncomfortable. Because it was my first time using credit card with them, he checked my I.D. but instead of just looking at the name and picture, he read every detail and even commented my address. (by the way, he took an imprint of my card - I didn't know they still did that lol) The next time he delivered, he commented on how I was still there (as in AL) and how I should come have some fun with him at his house. I was very uncomfortable with his forward behavior, especially when its a delivery guy. You're working right now, quit hitting on your customers. When I'm back in Oxford, I'd definitely order from them but probably won't have it delivered.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
