I have been here several times and have never had a bad meal. Today was a busy day and my wife and I really needed to be able to eat quickly so we could make an appointment. Out if curiosity I called ahead to see if I could pre order so our meal would be ready when we got there. The gentleman I talked with said sure. Gave him my order and name. My wife picked me up and we headed to BOP. Once we arrived and gave my name we were taken straight to our table. Drinks were waiting and about a minute later so was our pizza. The service was over the top and I couldn't have asked for better.

I was concerned that this would be a pizza place that everything is produced out of a factory, especially the dough, but I was pleasantly surprised. It appeared to be kind of a wheat bread, which I typically hate, but it was yummy. The tomato sauce here is thicker and more concentrated which I don't prefer because it's too acidic for me, but it wasn't too sour, so it was okay. The cheese they use isn't too salty either so that was a plus. We got two slices of pizza and a half order of pasta with 3 salads as a part of a lunch "pick 2" menu, which was portioned very well for a substantial lunch. Overall pleasant experience, not the best, but I'd come back and try some other items on the menu. Btw they have a really good ranch for ranch lovers out there.

We had a party of 16 come for lunch and you'd think they never had a full restaurant of people. We never got drink refills, and when we asked where our food was (after an hour of being seated) the waiter told us it was taking so long because some of us ordered calzones. Also, when we asked one of the servers who brought our food for our checks, she said we needed to ask the other guy because she wasn't our server. Food was good, but the service was just ridiculously slow and unfriendly.

I had a team try to come eat in this restaurant and although they do not take reservations we called ahead 2 days in advance to let them know we were coming. When we got to the restaurant they had us turn around because they had no memory of our call and had not written down anything. We had to scramble to find another restaurant for a team of 20+ people, which is nearly impossible. The management also told us that they had run out of dough. How does a pizza restaurant run out of dough?! Horribly run business, do not go here.

The service at this location has been terrible during my last three visits. Will not be back! If you want brick oven pizza, go to the Auburn location....or better yet, go to Mellow Mushroom.

We ordered two pizzas, a medium and a large. The medium was made to order the large was 'messed up'. I don't know if they forgot to make it or put the wrong ingredients on it. But we waited another 20 minutes for the second pizza. Both were bland and tasted like there was no sauce on either. I would not recommend their pizza and we won't eat there again.

Pizza by the slice here was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I actually couldn't even finish it which I don't thfink has ever happened. Service was great and perhaps their whole pizzas are better. I rarely give Yelp reviews but since this was an extreme I thought I'd better warn others. If you find yourself here stay away from the slice lunch special.

Calzone and service were both great. I've only been here once and have never tried the pizza so this is based off of my very limited experience here. No complaints from me!

I got a little excited when I saw the brick oven sign in the shopping center because I was starving. I now wish I had checked the reviews first. To describe the staff in one word, aloof. I was let in by a server on his way in for a shift good sign. There wasn't a hostess so I looked around and picked a booth. I sat there counting away getting irritated each time someone looked at me and didn't acknowledge my presence. When I had enough, I asked if there was something special I need to do to get served. The guy who responded said they didn't know what was going on with me, that they thought I was there to work. This was insulting on many levels but I was in a forgiving mood. He then asked me if everything was ok with a bit of an attitude as if I had no right to demand acknowledgement. Finally I got the menu with no explanations as to how the ordering is done so I just had to figure it out myself. I picked what I wanted and the nightmare continued. Describing the menu in one word, misleading. There is nothing worse than picking what you want to be told that they don't have it and be sent back to the drawing board. The combo menu with a slice and a side neglected to mention that they, "are out of soup for the summer" So I went with the chips. After a little wait, I was informed that slices have a time window in which they are served. My server Nathaniel was cool enough, but overshadowed by the feeling that I was at a hangout where I didn't know anyone. The pizza was cool, good sauce, nice crust, pretty good ingredients. This is my last visit. Management, get your stuff together, your food is only half of what you offer.

My daughter and I had dinner here the other night. I thought the service was great and we got our food quickly. I would recommend the cheese bread and the cheese calzone. We will definitely go back again!!

We were just passing through Opelika and stumbled upon Brick Oven Pizza Co. for dinner. The food (salad and pizza) was outstanding...best pizza we've had in a long time. And our server, Courtney, was super friendly, attentive, and full of southern hospitality. We plan to come back before we leave town and would highly recommend.

My husband, daughter, and I stopped for dinner here and we had a great meal. My daughter ordered a chicken barbecue pizza and loved every bite. It wasn't overrun with sauce so in her words, "There was just the right amount of sauce along with chicken, red onion, and cheese to make the perfect bite." She is only 12 but quite the foodie. My husband and I ordered different calzones and they had a good amount of fillings and weren't big empty pockets of dough like some can be. The fresh squeezed lemonade was amazing!! Also a little shout out to our server Emily; you were perfect. You took great care of us and answered all of our questions with a smile and we so appreciated that. We will definitely be back.

Pizza by-the-slice...no good..... I went to Brick Oven to get a slice of pizza for lunch. Over the past few years I have had pizza by the slice and they were great. I do not frequent BOP for lunch because they would not sell 1 slice of pizza. I had to get either 2 slices or a slice and and salad. I quit going and frequented Johnny Brusco's or Mellow Mushroom. Today I ran into BOP for a slice while I was in the area. I was just going to get the 2 slice deal and take one home. To my surprise they sold me a 2-topping slice for $3.50. This slice was awful. It was toppings (sauce, cheese, onion and banana peppers) on a slab of triangle-shapped bread. Really bad. Bypass BOP slices at lunch at either this location or the other location. The slices in the past for the slice and head over to Johnny Bruscos or Mellow Mushroom.

Food was good. Service was slow but only because they had one server for more than 15 tables.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
