This is a good bbq place but it's not as good as the original in Cottondale. We get drive thru from here because of the convenience. The staff is friendly, chicken is our favorite of the meats.

I don't understand how other people think this place is good. The mac and cheese was watery and tasted awful. The sweet tea was sugar water and light on the sugar. The bbq was nothing special. Just pulled pork with bland sauce.

Tuscaloosa is famous for BBQ and The Pottery Grill has some of the best in town. Conveniently located on Highway 69N this 20+ year old establishment offers a very unique product. The barbecue is superb. Great sausage, and pulled pork are some highlights but I feel the restaurant's star are the ribs. The Pottery Grill's ribs are truly the most tender and the most flavorful ribs I've ever eaten and their tangy, sweet Barbecue sauce complements them perfectly. The owners, Michael Chambliss and Tim Foster, have grown their own small business and it has truly paid off. So the next time your in Tuscaloosa, skip over the tourist traps of Dreamland and Archibalds and go to the Pottery Grill, you won't be sorry.

My experience ay Pottery Grill was not impressive. I was shocked at how utterly bland the food was. Cole Slaw was mostly shredded cabbage with almost no sauce or seasoning, Pork BBQ was tasteless, the sauce was watery to the point of being mute, the baked beans were the only thing that had any taste at all, and they tasted bad. Two stars because the people were nice, service was quick, prices are average. There are plenty of bbq places in this area that are much better options.

An underrated gem in Tuscaloosa with a variety of meats and good plate specials. The lunch specials are a doubly-good value.
