I really enjoy this place. I work a few days of the week at the Summit and this is the best price, good quality food option there. The service is good. It's all young kids that say "yes mam" a lot haha (I'm still getting used to the southern hospitality in Bham). My favorite thing thus far is the veggie quesadilla, add chicken. It's super delicious and had a crap ton of flavor. They grill the veggies so it has a yummy charred taste. For quick, healthy, and tastey lunch in the summit, this is the place!

Chipotle braised pork sammys were ok, could use more flavor. I ordered the hot cheddar pasta as a side, little disappointed to find out it was just a dish of "Mac n' cheese" that my wife ordered for our son as well. I (the wife) ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with the roasted red pepper soup. I got the soup and the chicken salad sandwich. I was pleased with the sandwich, as for the soup it tasted like it had a spaghetti sauce base and was not that good IMO. I (the mother in law) ordered the chicken salad and fruit plate. The fruit is fresh and tasty but the chicken salad was very bland. Obviously Alabama chickens are tasteless. The best part was the Orange roll.

My husband and I have been to this location about 3 or 4 times. It's in a great location. I always get the grilled chicken special. The chicken is always cooked perfectly. It comes with rice pilaf which is great, but I have been substituting it for extra salad. Their salad dressings are also very good and balanced. They compliment the food well. My husband gets a wrap or a sandwhich which come with a side. The brownies and cookies are good too. Also, I will add that they have "the good kind of ice" (the ones that are round ice chips not cubes). So I like that.

Urban Cookhouse is really fresh, tasty food. Some of their menu items are hit and miss though. The grilled Chicken special is solid. Always good. Some of their other dishes aren't edible like their skirt steak. Soooooo tough you can't chew it! Sometimes their sides come out cold when they should be warm. This location is the best though as far as decor and atmosphere. Great family place to eat really healthy food. My hubs loves their veggie quesadilla and their orange rolls are very good. They are really good at getting orders out quickly too.

We ordered one of their meals to go. You get a choice of meat and vegetables for $25. Great to have a healthy meal when you don't have time to cook. They serve Millie orange Rolls with everything. They are tasty, I like Millie's yeast rolls the best. Have also tried their broccoli salad which I didn't think was great because the bacon gets soggy.

LOVE the Urban Cookhouse!!! They use fresh and local (when available) ingredients -- my body loves that! The Crestline UC is often very very busy but the service is efficient and the employees cheerful. They have a good take home menu -- I can't remember it but check it out. It struck me as unique. Also, you can run in and buy containers of fresh broccoli salad, red pepper soup, cut up fruit, and more -- those are what I get. As for what I order when I eat there, the veggie quesadilla is awesome! The only negative is that there is not much seating, which has been a problem at the busy lunchtime.
