Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place is by no means fancy. The outside, the inside, your plate...non of which will look fancy. But the food is good! My coworkers and I have been here on business in Montgomery for lunch. I have enjoyed both the Ravioli and Italian Sausage sandwich. Both inspired me to re-create these meals at home. Yumm-o! The entree salad I had was not impressive. Favorite Meals: Ravioli Italian Sausage Sandwihc

Really nice ladies working there. Place could use updates, including the ability to accept cards and the pinochle crowd but otherwise, could have been worse. During dinner, an older Italian man, with resemblance to the Gambino family walked in and sat next to us. I was a bit taken by the fact, but then realized he was not who I thought he was.

Great way to get my day started off. Not only is the food great but my favorite part is the super friendly staff...mainly the owner. He makes me feel like I'm family. My favorite dish is the Lasagna followed by their HUGE subs/heroes.

Best meatball sub ever. Pasta dishes available too. Sandwiches are on crusty French-style bread. Nice family business with a personal touch. Not tons of parking in front but you will find some in the area. Security at night. Not fancy but the food and people keep me going back for more.

I'm a third generation 20+ year customer. My family comes here 3-5 times a month. This place is a hole in the wall. But they know how to make an AMAZING chicken parmesan and pizza. Their house dressing is simple yet delectable, it's an explosion of favors. Their sauce is home made and addictive. The price per person on average is about 10-15$. To me it's very fair. This is a place to bring your whole family and get a bottle of their chianti and talk, laugh and have some GREAT food and make some memories.

Corsinos, is a local legend. I had lunch yesterday and enjoyed the lasagna. The sauce is rich and robust. My friend Nick insists that the veal sandwich is the best in Montgomery and a small side salad and fresh garlic butter bread rounds out the meal. Corsinos is as much about the experience as the meal. You walk in and feel as if you have stepped back in time as you see a cross section of Montgomery and feel as if you have been invited to a family reunion. @Melissa T the waiter that you described must have been the same that I had yesterday. His name is Dierk and you are probably hard pressed to find a more personable waiter in Montgomery. Don't forget to register to win a free Corsinos T-Shirt as you pay at the register.

NICE! If you're coming here for the first time, make sure you look carefully or you'll miss this place. From the outside Corsino's doesn't look like much of an Italian restaurant. But once you take a closer look, you'll realize there is not a single free parking space in front of this local mom-pop joint. Step inside and you will get a sense of what you're about to eat--- true blue home cooking. The menu is not diverse made of a variety of pastas (lots of spaghetti) and pizzas. We ordered a combination dish of spaghetti and lasagna, as well as a small pizza, which was all amazing. The tomato sauce is what makes everything so good, I think they use the same sauce for their pizza and pasta. Our waiter was so friendly and a real character. It completed our whole dining experience at Corsino's. If you're looking for a homemade meal and to meet some friendly locals, this is the place to be.

Corsino's can do with some sprucing up, no one questions that. But they have some of the best hot sandwhiches around and it is never difficult because of a long wait. I do not suggest going at dinner time as the neighborhood has seen better days.

Okay, the second star was for the family friendliness of this establishment. The locals are local and everyone is recognized. The staff is charming and the grandkids of the founders work here. There were probably 3-4 kids on a Friday night. We were passing through and it was close to the interstate. The spaghetti and meat sauce was sweet bland tomato sauce and I thought they gave us the meatless sauce until I found a tiny piece of meat. The spaghetti with mushroom sauce was spaghetti with jarred mushrooms on top with the same bland sweet tomato sauce poured on top. Both those dishes were $10.50!!!!!!! That is a lot for the family run charm. It's way overpriced for what you get. Don't get me wrong. We went here because it wasn't a chain and wanted to support an independent place. I don't think I would go here again.

I was looking for a good local Italian restaurant during my visit to Montgomery, AL, and Corsino's was a slight disappointment. The portion sizes were very small for the price of each entree, so the value is not good. While the sauce was delicious, each plate I saw was very simple and basic...noodles, sauce, meat. If you like paying a lot of money for pasta you could boil at home and pour some sauce over, then Corsino's provides a good choice. But if you want a little more value and diversity, I would recommend someplace else.
