Nice little spot downtown. Looking for a great steak and baked potato or just a burger?? Here is your spot. Baked sweet potato was right up my alley. Tender and fresh. Filet Mignon was excellent. I always get my steaks well done but this was perfect. My fiancé got the burger, no toppings. Said it was great. I will definitely return and recommend this spot.

Came here upon hearing hearing of Half-Price Burgers on Mondays (yes, they are open, although their hours on the door say otherwise). Ambiance is very nice and upscale. Wait staff are clean and professional. They share the beer list from their sister restaurants next door, so the selection of beer is great. The burgers come with union potatoes and garlic aioli that complements the potatoes perfectly. The burgers are fantastic. They don't handle the meat excessively, which leaves the patties loose and moist. The blend of ingredients is well thought out and I ant recommend them enough. Only in town for four days and found time to stop by twice.

Well where do I begin..? First off you local folks give this place almost five stars and great reviews so, I gave it a shot... I'm starting to believe you folk wouldn't know a five star restaurant if it jumped up and bit you on the ass....! On taking your advice I went all out got the cowboy bone in ribeye $45 with appetizer, two sides, cocktail, and desert with tip I spent $145.00 just for myself... With acceptation to the spicy fried green tomatoes with wild mushrooms which I liked, it was the worst meal I've had in recent memory... Oh, let's not forget Half Shell either they failed miserably as well... I gotta say that cowboy bone in ribeye is the worst steak I have ever had hands down... There was so much tendon it was inedible, bland beyond belief except for the part that was chard, it was horrible absolutely horrible... Man am I disappointed in Mobile, AL when it comes to fine dining, There isn't any.... With one exception Kitchen on George...! I have been in town on business here for a month and can't wait to get out of here... I'm sick of throwing good money away on lousy food... I'm seriously afraid to even try one more... The only restaurants I would even mention is as follows: Fine dining: Kitchen on George (***Pretty sad that the best fine dining is bunch of culinary students on their internship... What's that tell ya..!??) Pasta: Mirko Seafood: Felix's Other then that your better off going to Texas Road House for steaks...!!! For $30 bucks you can have a 16oz prime rib with the fixings... Well I'd better stop while I'm ahead the more I think of the money I've wasted the more I want to carry on... Greg

Awesome meal from salad to dessert!! I had the filet with Bernaise and their version of French fries=amazing!! My hubby had the ribeye and whipped potatoes. Our salads tastes farm fresh. The creme Brûlée was amazing, too.

Union was recommended to me after I had asked where could I find the best steak in town. I called ahead to make reservations just to make sure we would be seated immediately upon arrival. When we showed up I was somewhat surprised about how the fine people of Mobile were able to transform a mediocre location into a somewhat upscale dining area. It was a crowded place seating about 30 if you're lucky. The ambiance was laid back and intimate regardless the size. Our waitress was knowledgeble and helped us choose a wine to our liking. She chose a Riesling which was just what we needed. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye with potatoes and it somewhat fell short as far as the flavor goes. And the portion was small leaving me wanting more. However, the texture was very tender. They didnt have Heinz 57 but had an au jus type sauce that made up for it and my drink wasnt made correctly seeing as it was too strong, as well as the amount being short so the bartender used the soda gun to add more liquid. If you are looking for a good steak and are willing to shell out a cool $100 between 2 then go to Union.

Great service and welcoming atmosphere. The fried green tomatoes were amazing. Also, the steaks were cooked perfectly.

Wonderful steakhouse restaurant. My ribeye was cooked perfect. Juicy and flavorful. Sides are good portions. Caesar salad was delicious. Super service from hostess and servers. Warm and cozy atmosphere.

Reeeeeeeeeally good burger. I actually think it rivals Callaghan's. And that's saying a lot. It was delish. Will return to try the other higher grade meats.

I came here during the madi gras 2013 season. I must say, this place cooked the best steak by far. The atmosphere has a mellow jive to it. Very chill spot when you just to relax and have a nice juicy steak. The service are very nice and informative. My waitress answered all my questions about the menu to the up most detail. Highly recommend when you don't want to walk very far in downtown Mobile for a piece of steak.

My wife and I dropped in here on a whim one night. Man, am I glad we did! From the moment we walked in the door, I knew I was going to like it. It made me feel like I was back in New York. I'm not sure if they remodeled everything or if that's what it has always looked like, but the place has a great feel to it. The bread that is brought out in the beginning was warm and delicious. We had some starter cocktails from their house list which were both great. I had the ribeye and spinach; my wife had the filet and potatoes I think. Both steaks were cooked to literal perfection and expertly seasoned! We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu or when we're in the mood for an excellent steak!

Finally made it back here and got the steak. It was excellent. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. They have several homemade steak sauces and are happy to let you try all of them. The menu itself doesn't offer to many options, but several of those that are offered are not your typical fare, which in my opinion makes the menu standout. The steaks cost less than your typical steakhouse so if that is your guage it isn't a pricey restaurant. Sides (at least the ones we ordered) came on your plate even thought you ordered them separately, unlike many steak houses. It wasn't a problem but I was expecting to eat some of the wifeys potatoes and with them being directly on her plate she successfully blocked me. We didn't get wine or a cocktail but they wine list look comprehensive and priced well. Cocktails were in the 8-10 range (unfortunately standard these days). When I am in town and looking for steak this is where I will be headed! Check it out, you will be glad you did.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary. The Cowboy Ribeye is perfection, the sides are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is lovely. The dining experience was heightened by Lillian, our lovely server who catered to our every need. Do yourself a solid and give these guys a visit.

The worst! Loud, dingy and faulty lighting. The asparagus wasn't cooked, the button mushrooms looked like they came out of a green giant can and the steaks, all four that came to our table, were cold. I don't know how this hole in the wall stays open. Horrible!

This is a great, adult special-dinner-out place. The location is excellent, parking fairly ample and the service is excellent. We ate like kings. This is sort of kinda a local Ruths' Chris. The portions are very large and very fresh. It would have been nice to see other options on the menu, but I have no complaints.

I went to Union last night for the first time. Ordered the Union burger and added bacon and Swiss cheese with the union potatoes. The food was excellent! Burger had so much flavor and I loves the potatoes so much, I was grabbing leftovers from my friend's plate. It also happened to be my birthday and they were very sweet: singing and bringing dessert with a lit candle. The only reason I did not give five stars, and I mean only reason, was my drink. I tried my friend's amazing watermelon martini and had to have one myself. Unfortunately it was not the same: way too strong. Other than that, I really enjoyed my experience at Union. Will definitely go back.

The best cowboy ribeye I've ever had!! It was so juicy, tender, and I was pleasantly surprised with the first knife cut. The sides we had were phenomenal (shrooms, spinach, and potatoes). I've been to many top notch steakhouses in NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Frankfurt--and Union beats them all! The ambiance is lovely, and they have a great wine selection.
